This unconventional solubility expression was derived to take account of the non-stoichiometric dissolution of HASB(s) and included theoretical dissolution products which could then be substituted for the dissolution products which were measured experimentally.

The characters, dynamics, and relaxation pathways of low-lying excited states of the complexes [W(CO)(5)L] [L = 4-cyanopyridine (pyCN) and piperidine (pip)] were investigated using theoretical and spectroscopic methods. DFT calculations revealed the delocalized character of chemically and spectroscopicaly relevant molecular orbitals and the presence of a low-lying manifold of CO pi-based unoccupied molecular orbitals. Traditional ligand-field arguments are not applicable. The lowest excited states of [W(CO)(5)(pyCN)] are W --> pyCN MLCT in character. They are closely followed in energy by W --> CO MLCT states. Excitation at 400 or 500 nm populates the (3)MLCT(pyCN) excited state, which was characterized by picosecond time-resolved IR and resonance Raman spectroscopy. Excited-state vibrations were assigned using DFT calculations. The (3)MLCT(pyCN) excited state is initially formed highly excited in low-frequency vibrations which cool with time constants between 1 and 20 ps, depending on the excitation wavelength, solvent, and particular high-frequency nu(CO) or nu(CN) mode. The lowest excited states of [W(CO)(5)(pip)] are W --> CO MLCT, as revealed by TD-DFT interpretation of a nanosecond time-resolved IR spectrum that was measured earlier in a low-temperature glass (Johnson, F. P. A.; George, M. W.; Morrison, S. L.; Turner, J. J. J. Chem. Soc., Chem. Commun. 1995, 391-393). MLCT(CO) excitation involves transfer of electron density from the W atom and, to a lesser extent, the trans CO to the pi orbitals of the four cis CO ligands. Optical excitation into MLCT(CO) transition of either complex in fluid solution triggers femtosecond dissociation of a W-N bond, producing [W(CO)(5)(solvent)]. It is initially vibrationally excited both in nu(CO) and anharmonicaly coupled low-frequency modes. Vibrational cooling occurs with time constants of 16-22 ps while the intramolecular vibrational energy redistribution from the v = 1 nu(CO) modes is much slower, 160-220 ps. No LF excited states have been found for the complexes studied in a spectroscopically relevant range up to 6-7 eV. It follows that spectroscopy, photophysics, and photochemistry of [W(CO)(5)L] and related complexes are well described by an interplay of close-lying MLCT(L) and MLCT(CO) excited states. The high-lying LF states play only an indirect photochemical role by modifying potential energy curves of MLCT(CO) states, making them dissociative.  相似文献

A series of are necyc lope ntadienyl complexes,i. e., [Ru(5-c5R5)(6- are ne)]+ (1, R= H, arene = C6H6; 2, R = Me, arme = C6H6; 3, R = H, arctic = C6H3Me3; 4, R = Me, arene = C6H3Me3; 5, R = H, arene = C6Me6; 6, R = Me, arene = C6Me6) was studied by cyclic voltammetry. These compounds are capable of both oxidation and reduction. The reduction potential values depend on the number of methyl groups in the complex. Reduction of benzene complexes I and 2 by sodium amalgam in THF leads to the formation of decomplexation products, the addition of hydrogen to benzene, and dimerization of the benzene ligands. Both chemical and electrochemical reductions of mesitylene complexes3 and4 result in dimeric products [(5-C5R5)Ru(-5;5-Me3H3C6H3Me3)Ru(5-C5R5)] (14, R = H; 15, R = Me). The action of sodium amalgam on compound5 gives products of hydrogen addition to both hexamethylbenzene (17) and cyclopentadienyl (18) ligands along with the major product, the dimer [5-C5H5)Ru(-5; 5-Me6C6C6Me6)Ru(5-C5H5)] (16). Novel P-monodentate aryl phosphite ligands have been synthesised in one step from (R)-BINOL, (R)-H8-BINOL and (R)-H8-3,3′-dibromo-BINOL. With the new aryl phosphites, up to 86% ee was observed in the asymmetric Pd-catalysed amination of 1,3-diphenyl-2-propenyl acetate with sodium diformylamide. In the enantioselective alkylation of 1,3-diphenyl-2-propenyl acetate with dimethyl malonate, up to 97% enantioselectivity was achieved.  相似文献

The reaction of the tricarbollide salt Tl[7-tBuNH-7,8,9-C3B8H10] (Tl1) with [(cod)Rh(THF)x]+ gives the rhodium complex [1-(cod)-12-tBuNH-1,2,4,12-RhC3B8H10] in almost quantitative yield. Analogous reactions of Tl1 with [(ring)M(THF)x]2+ ((ring)M = Cp*Rh and (1,3,5-C6H3Me3)Ru) afford the corresponding metallatricarbollides [1-(ring)-12-tBuNH-1,2,4,12-MC3B8H10] in ca. 50% yield. Refluxing Tl1 with [Mn(CO)3(MeCN)3]+ in THF give the tricarbollide analogue of cymantrene, [1,1,1-(CO)3-12-tBuNH-1,2,4,12-MnC3B8H10], the structure of which was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. In all cases, the formation of the metallatricarbollide complexes is accompanied by polyhedral rearrangement leading to the maximum separation of the cage carbon atoms.  相似文献

The use of capillary electrophoresis (CE) with laser-induced fluorescence excited by ultraviolet (UV) lasers in the range 200–300 nm has been restricted by the available wavelengths and expense of UV lasers. The integration of a NeCu deep UV laser operating at 248.6 nm with a single channel CE system with post-column sheath flow detection allows detection limits for serotonin and tryptophan of 3.9×10-8 M and 4.5×10-8 M respectively. Single cell analysis of serotonergic metacerebral cells from the sea slug Aplysia californica yields a value of 800±85 fmol of serotonin in each cell soma. For the first time, serotonin is directly detected in electrically stimulated release from single metacerebral cell soma, with approximately 4% of the serotonin contained in the soma released from a semi-intact preparation with a 2 min electrical stimulation.  相似文献

The complexes (RN=CH-CH=NR)Co(NO)(CO) with R = isopropyl, 2,6-diisopropylphenyl, or p-tolyl are chemically and electrochemically reducible to radical anions at potentials which strongly depend on R. The DFT calculated structure for the neutral compound with R = iPr agrees with the experiment, and the computed structure of the anion radical reveals changes according to a reduction of the R-DAB ligand. EPR results confirm an (R-DAB)-based singly occupied molecular orbital in [(RNCHCHNR)Co(NO)(CO)](.-), with minor but detectable contributions from NO as supported by IR spectroelectrochemistry and as quantified by DFT spin density calculations. The calculations indicate increasingly stabilized CO, NO, and RNCHCHNR pi* acceptor orbitals, in that order. On the basis of TD-DFT (time-dependent density functional theory) calculations, the lowest-lying excited states are assigned to metal-to-(R-DAB) charge transfer transitions while bands due to the metal-to-nitrosyl charge transfer occur at higher energies but still in the visible region. Synthesis and photochemistry of Ru(II) complexes containing phenanthroline-based ligands with fused pyrrole rings

Hydrolysis of 1,10-phenanthrolinopyrrole ethyl ester leads to the acid derivative which is unstable at room-temperature releasing CO(2) and forming 1,10-phenanthrolinopyrrole (php). The ligand reacts with ruthenium(II) to form a series of complexes of the general formula [Ru(php)(n)(bpy)(3-n)](2+), where bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine and n = 1-3. The photochemical properties reveal that the complexes have longer-lived excited states than the standard complex, [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+). Their emission lifetimes range from 9.04 micros (n = 1) to 35.5 micros (n = 3) at 77 K compared to 7.57 micros for the standard. Similarly, at room-temperature, emission lifetimes range from 1.20 micros (n = 1) to 1.70 micros (n = 3) relative to the standard (0.56 micros). The emission quantum yields also have higher values than the standard [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+) under similar conditions. The temperature-dependent studies for the complexes establish the distribution among the radiative, nonradiative, and (3)MLCT to (3)d-d decay channels and are in agreement with the energy gap law.  相似文献

Cationic arene complexes [Cb*Co(naphthalene)]+ (2, Cb* = C4Me4) and [Cb*Co(phenanthrene)]+ were synthesized by the reactions of [Cb*Co(MeCN)3]+ with arenes. The [Cb*Co(anthracene)]+ complex was synthesized by the abstraction of the iodide ion from [Cb*CoI]2 by TIBF4 in the presence of anthracene. Complex 2 exchanges the naphthalene ligand for other arenes at room temperature. Dedicated to Academician G. A. Abakumov on the occasion of his 70th birthday. The reactions of metapara-substituted aryl isocyanates with phosphorus-containing 1,3-zwitterions, which proceed with the CN migration of the CO2Et group to form the corresponding carbamates, were extended to ortho-substituted aryl isocyanates. The influence of the steric and electronic effects of the ortho substituents in the aromatic rings of aryl isocyanates on the ease of this rearrangement is qualitatively considered.  相似文献

Hydroxyaluminosilicates (HAS) are critical secondary mineral phases in the biogeochemical cycle of aluminium. They are formed from the reaction of silicic acid (Si(OH)4) with an aluminium hydroxide template and act as a geochemical control of the biological availability of Al. There are two main forms of HAS which we have called HASA and HASB and which of these will predominate will depend upon the Si(OH)4 to Al ratio in any one environment. In all but the most heavily weathered environments or those undergoing a progressive acidification Si(OH)4 will be present in significant excess to Al and HASB will be the dominant secondary mineral phase. We have tried to determine the solubility of HASB(s) so that its contribution to Al solubility control might be compared with other secondary minerals such as Al(OH)3(gibbsite). In preliminary experiments, the dissolution of HASB(s) was found to be non-congruent with almost no Al being released during 18 months ageing. We then demonstrated that HASB(s) was significantly less soluble than Al(OH)3(s) prepared under identical experimental conditions. We have used this information to describe a solubility expression for HASB(s) at a predefined quasi-equibrium and to calculate a solubility constant.
