Basis sets ranging in size from (16, 10, 7) to (20, 14, 11) have been derived for the atoms Y–Cd. Separate sets represent the energy optimized wave functions for each of the s2dn, s1dn+1, and s0dn+2 configurations. The energies from the largest sets are within 3 mhartrees of the values obtained in numerical Hartree–Fock calculations. Reasonable Hartree–Fock s2dns1dn+1 and s2dns0dn+2 excitation energies may be obtained either using the largest basis sets, or using d-orbitals optimized for the s0dn+2 configurations. The basis sets are slightly unbalanced in favor of the s-functions and in disfavor of the d-functions, but various alternative basis sets may be derived by combining parts of the five parent sets. The convergence of radial expectation values is discussed.  相似文献

The present work has for the first time described and verified a theoretical model of the analytical extraction process electro-membrane extraction (EME), where target analytes are extracted from an aqueous sample, through a thin layer of 2-nitrophenyl octylether immobilized as a supported liquid membrane (SLM) in the pores in the wall of a porous hollow fibre, and into an acceptor solution present inside the lumen of the hollow fibre by the application of an electrical potential difference. The mathematical model was based on the Nernst-Planck equation, and described the flux over the SLM. The model demonstrated that the magnitude of the electrical potential difference, the ion balance of the system, and the absolute temperature influenced the flux of analyte across the SLM. These conclusions were verified by experimental data with five basic drugs. The flux was strongly dependent of the potential difference over the SLM, and increased potential difference resulted in an increase in the flux. The ion balance, defined as the sum of ions in the donor solution divided by the sum of ions in the acceptor solution, was shown to influence the flux, and high ionic concentration in the acceptor solution relative to the sample solution was advantageous for high flux. Different temperatures also led to changes in the flux in the EME system.  相似文献

Nitroxide‐mediated polymerization was used as a model system for preparing styrenic monolithic materials with significant mesopore contents in different mold formats, with the aim of assessing the validity of pore characterization of capillary monoliths by analysis of parallel bulk polymerized precursor solution. Capillary monoliths were prepared in 250 μm id fused silica tubes (quadruplicate samples, in total 17 m), and the batch polymerizations were carried out in parallel in 100 μL microvials and regular 2 mL glass vials, both in quintuplicate. The monoliths recovered from the molds were characterized for their meso‐ and macroporous properties by nitrogen sorptiometry (three repeated runs on each sample), followed by a single analysis by mercury intrusion porosimetry. A total of 14 monolith samples were thus analyzed. A Grubbs' test identified one regular vial sample as an outlier in the sorptiometric surface area measurements, and data from this sample were consequently excluded from the pore size calculations, which are based on the same nitrogen sorption data, and also from the mercury intrusion data set. The remaining data were subjected to single factor analyses of variance analyses to test if the porous properties of the capillary monoliths were different from those of the bulk monoliths prepared in parallel. Significant differences were found between all three formats both in their meso‐ and macroporous properties. When the dimension was shrunk from conventional vial to capillary size, the specific surface area decreased from 52.2±4.7 to 34.6±1.7 m2/g. This decrease in specific surface area was accompanied by a significant shift in median diameter of the through‐pores, from 310±3.9 to 544±13 nm. None of these differences were obvious from the scanning electron micrographs that were acquired for each sample type. The common practice of determining the mesopore characteristics from analysis of samples prepared by parallel bulk polymerization and looking for changes in the macropore structure by visual assessment of SEMs are therefore both rather questionable, at least for monoliths of the kind used in this study.  相似文献

We have developed approximate Riemann solvers for ideal MHD equations based on a relaxation approach in [4], [5]. These lead to entropy consistent solutions with good properties like guaranteed positive density. We describe the extension to higher order and multiple space dimensions. We investigate the relativistic and non-relativistic quantum dynamics of a neutral spin-1/2 particle subject to an external electromagnetic field in the presence of a cosmic dislocation. We analyze the explicit contribution of the torsion in the geometric phase acquired in the dynamics of this neutral spinorial particle. We discuss the influence of the torsion in the relativistic geometric phase. Using the Foldy–Wouthuysen approximation, the non-relativistic quantum dynamics is studied and the influence of the torsion on the Aharonov–Casher and He–McKellar–Wilkens effects are discussed. This paper presents a framework for incorporating arbitrary implicit multistep schemes into the lattice Boltzmann method. While the temporal discretization of the lattice Boltzmann equation is usually derived using a second-order trapezoidal rule, it appears natural to augment the time discretization by using multistep methods. The effect of incorporating multistep methods into the lattice Boltzmann method is studied in terms of accuracy and stability. Numerical tests for the third-order accurate Adams-Moulton method and the second-order backward differentiation formula show that the temporal order of the method can be increased when the stability properties of multistep methods are considered in accordance with the second Dahlquist barrier.  相似文献

We consider a mathematical model for surface nanobubbles arising from hydrogen electrolysis in polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) electrolyzers. Experimental advances in recent years indicated longer lifetimes of surface nanobubbles than may be explained by classical theories. Contrary to [5], we state a full model of an evolving single surface nanobubble yielding a coupled system consisting of a partial differential equation (PDE) for the hydrogen concentration in water and an ordinary differential equation (ODE) for the radius evolution. In the special case of dynamic equilibrium conditions, we prove the well-posedness of this steady state problem by a fixed-point strategy, assuming an acute-angled contact angle, and that the corresponding algorithm allows for its numerical simulation.
