The one pot reaction of salicylaldehyde 1, beta-amino alcohols 2a-2c, and di-n-butyltin(IV) oxide 3a or diphenyltin(IV) oxide 3b produced five diorganotin(IV) compounds, 4a-4c, 5a, and 5c, in good yields. All compounds were characterized by IR, (1)H, (13)C, and (119)Sn NMR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis; furthermore, compounds 4b, 4c, 5a, and 5c were characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. After the structural characterization, all of the compounds were tested in vitro against Bacillus subtilis (Gram-positive, strain ATCC 6633), Escherichia coli (Gram-negative, strain DH5alpha), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Gram-negative, strain BH3), Desulfovibrio longus (strain DSM 6739), and Desulfomicrobium aspheronum (strain DSM 5918) to assess their antimicrobial activity. Compounds 4 and 5 demonstrated a wide range of bactericidal activities against the tested aerobic (one Gram-positive and two Gram-negative subtypes) and anaerobic bacteria (two sulfate-reducing bacteria, SRB). Compound 5 had better bactericidal performances than compound 4. For all of the compounds, the acute toxicity was measured using luminescent bacteria toxicity (LBT-Microtox) tests to track their further environmental impact. According to these results and in order to fulfill environmental regulations, the toxicity of the compounds studied herein can be modulated through the proper selection of the disubstituted tin(IV) moiety. 相似文献

Non-ionic surfactant (Brij 35, Tween 20, Tween 80 and Tergitol NPX) modified capillary isotachophoresis was investigated for the separation of 2-arylpropionic acids (fenoprofen, flurbiprofen, ibuprofen, ketoprofen and naproxen) and benzoic acid and its derivatives (salicylic, acetylsalicylic and gallic acids). The relative step height (RSH) values of analytes were found to be dependent on the type and concentration of the surfactant. The strength of the affinity of the 2-arylpropionic acids to the non-ionic micelles was found to be as follows: flurbiprofen > fenoprofen > ibuprofen > naproxen > ketoprofen. In general, the RSH values of 2-arylpropionic acids increase with an increase in the concentration of surfactants. However, the RSHs of benzoic, salicylic and gallic acids are not considerably affected. Separation of all acids was obtained with the Tween 20 (1.5%, w/v) in the leading electrolyte 10 mmol L(-1) hydrochloric acid/L-histidine (pH 6.0). Changes in the fluorescence intensity of fenoprofen, flurbiprofen and naproxen were also investigated in micellar media (Tween 20, Tween 80 and Brij 35). The strength of the affinity of the 2-arylpropionic acids to the Tweens micelles was found to be as follows: flurbiprofen > fenoprofen > naproxen, which is consistent with the isotachophoretic results. The study of experimental design conjunction with artificial neural networks for optimisation of isocratic ion-pair reverse phase HPLC separation of neuroprotective peptides is reported. Different types of experimental designs (full-factorial, fractional) were studied as suitable input and output data sources for ANN training and examined on mixtures of humanin derivatives. The independent input variables were: composition of mobile phase, including its pH, and column temperature. In case of a simple mixture of two peptides, the retention time of the most retentive component and resolution were used as the dependent variables (outputs). In case of a complex mixture with unknown number of components, number of peaks, sum of resolutions and retention time of ultimate peak were considered as output variables. Fractional factorial experimental design has been proved to produce sufficient input data for ANN approximation and thus further allowed decreasing the number of experiments necessary for optimisation. After the optimal separation conditions were found, fractions with peptides were collected and their analysis using off-line matrix assisted laser desorption/ionisation time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) was performed. 相似文献

In isotachophoresis (ITP), the sample constituents migrate, depending on their concentrations in the loaded sample, either in fully developed zones or in the boundary layers between the zones of constituents of the corresponding effective mobilities. The latter (spike) migration mode is analytically beneficial in selective detections of trace analytes, especially, when appropriately chosen discrete spacers minimize detection interferences due to matrix constituents. To facilitate a search for suitable mixtures of discrete spacers, a two-step calculation procedure was developed in this work. Using a pool of discrete spacers consisting of 42 anionic and zwitterionic constituents, this procedure was shown effective in the anionic ITP separations performed at pH = 6.5-10.0. Besides the predictions of the migration orders, it was helpful in identifying the spacing constituents that could cause resolution problems due to an uncertainty with which pH of the leading electrolyte solution is known. The ionic mobility and pKa data, taken for the spacing constituents from the literature and the ones obtained from the ITP experiments carried out in this work, were used in the calculations performed in a context with the choice of spacers. Although the data obtained from the ITP experiments provided better results, small uncertainties with which they were acquired (attributable to fluctuations in the experimental conditions) set practical limits in the calculation based choice of multi-component mixtures of the spacing constituents. 相似文献

The optical properties of reaction systems composed from a pseudoisocyanine (PIC) solution and dispersed layered silicates were studied using visible spectroscopy. Two series of reduced-charge montmorillonites were used as the silicate materials. Each series consisted of eight samples with different layer charges, which were prepared from one parent material. Observed trends were verified with another series of dioctahedral and trioctahedral smectites of different layer charges, structure, and origin. The layer charge density of the silicates significantly affected the aggregation of PIC cations. In addition to the formation of J-aggregates, dye spectral bleaching was also observed. Silicates with very low charge densities induced neither significant aggregation nor spectral bleaching of the dye. The highest levels of PIC J-aggregate formation were found in dispersions of the layered silicates with a medium surface charge. However, reversible spectral bleaching was also observed in some cases. PIC dye cations probably change their conformations during the adsorption process, due to the tension resulting from the large size of the cations and the relatively high charge density at the silicate surface. The bleached dye recovers, at least partially, with the rearrangement and redistribution of the dye cations over the time. In contrast, the presence of silicates with very high charge densities (synthetic taeniolite and fluorohectorite) led to the very fast and irreversible decomposition of the PIC. Perhaps, the tension in adsorbed dye cations, induced by the high charge density at the silicate surface, resulted in significant destabilization and a decomposition reaction of the chromophore. 相似文献

A new method for the spectrophotometric determination of vanadium(V) with 8-hydroxyquinoline in isoamyl alcohol is described. The spectra show broad absorption maxima between 450 and 490 nm. The effects of amount of reagent, acidity, time, and temperature were also studied. The optimal interval of Beer's law application is 0.75–3.50 μg vanadium/ml. The nature of the complex in solutions, as well as the interference, reproducibility, and precision of the method, was investigated. Experimental adsorption isotherms of five n-paraffins (ethane, propane, butane, pentane, and hexane) in 5A zeolite were described by means of a statistical thermodynamics model for linear adsorbates (MLA) developed by Ramirez-Pastor et al. (1999) and compared with the well-known multisite Langmuir model (MSL) of Nitta et al. (1984). The experimental data, obtained by different authors in a wide range of temperatures and pressures, were correlated by using an algorithm of multiple fitting. Two main conclusions were drawn from the analysis of experimental data: (i) for small molecules (ethane, propane), MLA is the more accurate model, validating the hypothesis of the linear rigid character of the adsorbate and reinforcing previous results obtained from the analysis of computational experiments developed for dimers and linear trimers; (ii) for large molecules (n-butane, n-pentane, n-hexane), the better performance of the MSL model suggests that the admolecules adsorb in a nonlinear structure. The isosteric heat of adsorption dependence on the number of carbons obtained from our study, ranging between 23.84 kJ/mol for ethane and 59.26 kJ/mol for hexane, showed a very good agreement with previous results reported in the literature, confirming the consistency of our analysis. 相似文献

A substoichiometric method for the determination of heavy rare earths (holmium, thulium) has been developed. After the addition of a substoichiometric amount of EDTA to the test sample of rare earth labelled with its radioactive isotopes, the negatively charged complex formed was separated by passage through a column of Dowex 50 x 8. Interfering metals can be removed by preliminary cupferron and diethylammonium diethyldithiocarbamate extraction. Concentrations of rare earth down to 4 x 10(-7)g 5 ml have been determined. 相似文献

The infrared (IR) and vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectra of S-2,2'-dimethyl-biphenyl-6,6'-dicarboxylic acid, S-1, in CDCl(3) solution are concentration-dependent, showing that oligomerization occurs with increasing concentration. DFT calculations support the conclusion that the oligomer formed is the cyclic tetramer (S-1)(4), in which S-1 monomers are linked by hydrogen(H)-bonded (COOH)(2) moieties. Due to the existence of two inequivalent tautomeric conformations of each (COOH)(2) moiety, six inequivalent conformations of (S-1)(4) are possible. B3LYP/6-31G* DFT calculations predict that the conformation "aaab", possessing three equivalent (COOH)(2) conformations, a, and one tautomeric conformation, b, has the lowest free energy. B3LYP/6-31G* IR and VCD spectra vary substantially with conformation. The B3LYP/6-31G* IR and VCD spectra of the C=O stretch modes of "aaab" are in excellent agreement with the experimental spectra, while those of all other conformations exhibit poor agreement, confirming the prediction that the "aaab" conformation is the predominant conformation. Comparison of the calculated IR and VCD spectra of the six conformations to the experimental spectra in the range 1100-1600 cm(-1) further supports this conclusion. The study is the first to use VCD spectroscopy to determine the structure of a supramolecular species. 相似文献
