A tetrathiafulvalene-porphyrin-fullerene (TTF-P-C(60)) molecular triad, which generates electrical current by harnessing light energy when self-assembled onto gold electrodes, has been developed. The triad, composed of three unique electroactive components, namely, 1) an electron-donating TTF unit, 2) a chromophoric porphyrin unit, and 3) an electron-accepting C(60) unit, has been synthesized in a modular fashion. A disulfide-based anchoring group was tagged to the TTF end of the molecule in order to allow its self-assembly on gold surfaces. The surface coverage by the triad in a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) was estimated to be 1.4 nm(2) per molecule, a density which is consistent with hexagonal close-packing of the spherical C(60) component (diameter approximately 1 nm). In a closed electronic circuit, a triad-SAM functionalized working-electrode generates a switchable photocurrent of approximately 1.5 microA cm(-2) when irradiated with a 413 nm Kr-ion laser, a wavelength which is close to the porphyrin chromophore's absorption maximum peak at 420 nm. The electrical energy generated by the triad at the expense of the light energy is ultimately exploited to drive a supramolecular machine in the form of a [2]pseudorotaxane comprised of a pi-electron-deficient tetracationic cyclobis(paraquat-p-phenylene) (CBPQT(4+)) cyclophane and a pi-electron-rich 1,5-bis[(2-hydroxyethoxy) ethoxy]naphthalene (BHEEN) thread. The redox-induced dethreading of the CBPQT(4+) cyclophane from the BHEEN thread can be monitored by measuring the increase in the fluorescence intensity of the BHEEN unit. A gradual increase in the fluorescence intensity of the BHEEN unit concomitant with the photocurrent generation, even at a potential (0 V) much lower than that required (-300 mV) for the direct reduction of the CBPQT(4+) unit, confirms that the dethreading process is driven by the photocurrent generated by the triad-SAM.  相似文献

We derive the exact bifurcation diagram of the Duffing oscillator with parametric noise thanks to the analytical study of the associated Lyapunov exponent. When the fixed point is unstable for the underlying deterministic dynamics, we show that the system undergoes a noise-induced reentrant transition in a given range of parameters. The fixed point is stabilised when the amplitude of the noise belongs to a well-defined interval. In this paper, we present a formulation based on constrained variational approach to enable efficient computation of energy derivatives using Fock-space multireference coupled-cluster theory. Adopting conventional normal ordered exponential with Bloch projection approach, we present a method of deriving equations when general incomplete model spaces are used. Essential simplifications arise when effective Hamiltonian definition becomes explicit as in the case of complete model spaces or some special quasicomplete model spaces. We apply the method to derive explicit generic expressions upto third-order energy derivatives for [0,1], [1,0], and [1,1] Fock-space sectors. Specific diagrammatic expressions for zeroth-order Lagrange multiplier equations for [0,1], [1,0], and [1,1] sectors are presented.  相似文献

The fluorescence and phosphorescence quantum yields (ΦΓ and ΦΠ) and observed triplet decay time (τP) of phenyl isocyanate and its chloro derivative, parachlorophenyl isocyanate have been measured in the polar solvent ethanol. Due to the co-existence of optical activity and linear birefringence in a Bi12SiO20 crystal, a phase gratting induced in this medium has many interesting and unusual properties. We study the ellipticity and orientation of the directly transmitted and diffracted beams as a function of the read-beam vector orientation. In image processing experiments the signal to noise ratio can be increased significantly by appropriately choosing the read-beam orientation such that the strong direct beam is linearly polarized and can be eliminated with the help of a polarizer.  相似文献

In this work, the anion-responsive conduct of a Ru(II)-bipyridine complex incorporating pyrazolyl-bis (benzimidazole) ligand is thoroughly investigated in acetonitrile and water via absorption and emission spectroscopy as well as by square-wave voltammetry (SWV). Substantial alteration of the photo-redox behavior of the complex is observed in the presence of the selected anions. The free form of the complex exhibits emission indicating the “on-state”, while inclusion of anions leads to quenching of emission and represents the “off-state”. The restoration of the initial state of the complex is feasible in the presence of acid and the process is reversible and can be recycled. In essence, the complex functions as anion- and acid-responsive molecular switches. Additionally, we applied herein neural network based deep learning methodologies, viz. Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS)} for thorough analysis and fully understand the multi-channel anion sensing behavior of the complex.  相似文献

Steady state absorption and fluorometric techniques have been used to investigate the photophysics of norharmane (NHM), a bioactive fluorophore, in aqueous as well as aqueous cyclodextrin (CD) environments. The absorption and steady state fluorescence spectral studies reveal the formation of two types of inclusion complexes between the fluorophore and beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) depending on the relative population of the two. The stoichiometries and association constants of these complexes have been determined monitoring the fluorescence data. alpha-and gamma-cyclodextrin (alpha-CD, gamma-CD) do not have appreciable effect on the spectral pattern of the fluorophore. The differential fluorimetric behavior of NHM in different CD environments has been rationalized from the variation of the relative dimensions of the probe and the CD cavities.  相似文献

The carbophosphazene and cyclophosphazene hydrazides, [{NC(N(CH(3))(2))}(2){NP{N(CH(3))NH(2)}(2)}] (1) and [N(3)P(3)(O(2)C(12)H(8))(2){N(CH(3))NH(2)}(2)] were condensed with o-vanillin to afford the multisite coordination ligands [{NC(N(CH(3))(2))}(2){NP{N(CH(3))N═CH-C(6)H(3)-(o-OH)(m-OCH(3))}(2)}] (2) and [{N(2)P(2)(O(2)C(12)H(8))(2)}{NP{N(CH(3))N═CH-C (6)H(3)-(o-OH)(m-OCH(3))}(2)}] (3), respectively. These ligands were used for the preparation of heterometallic complexes [{NC(N(CH(3))(2))}(2){NP{N(CH(3))N═CH-C(6)H(3)-(o-O)(m-OCH(3))}(2)}{CuCa(NO(3))(2)}] (4), [{NC(N(CH(3))(2))}(2){NP{N(CH(3))N═CH-C(6)H(3)-(o-O)(m-OCH(3))}(2)}{Cu(2)Ca(2)(NO(3))(4)}]·4H(2)O (5), [{NC(N(CH(3))(2))}(2){NP{N(CH(3))N═CH-C(6)H(3)-(o-O)(m-OCH(3))}(2)}{CuDy(NO(3))(4)}]·CH(3)COCH(3) (6), [{NP(O(2)C(12)H(8))}(2){NP{N(CH(3))N═CH-C(6)H(3)-(o-O)(m-OCH(3))}(2)}{CuDy(NO(3))(3)}] (7), and [{NP(O(2)C(12)H(8))}(2){NP{N(CH(3))N═CH-C(6)H(3)-(o-O)(m-OCH(3))}(2)}{CuTb(NO(3))(3)}] (8). The molecular structures of these compounds reveals that the ligands 2 and 3 possess dual coordination pockets which are used to specifically bind the transition metal ion and the alkaline earth/lanthanide metal ion; the Cu(2+)/Ca(2+), Cu(2+)/Tb(3+), and Cu(2+)/Dy(3+) pairs in these compounds are brought together by phenoxide and methoxy oxygen atoms. While 4, 6, 7, and 8 are dinuclear complexes, 5 is a tetranuclear complex. Detailed magnetic properties on 6-8 reveal that these compounds show weak couplings between the magnetic centers and magnetic anisotropy. However, the ac susceptibility experiments did not reveal any out of phase signal suggesting that in these compounds slow relaxation of magnetization is absent above 1.8 K.  相似文献
