A novel and efficient method for the diastereoselective synthesis of α-hydrazine tetrazoles via an isocyanide-based multicomponent reaction is reported in good yields. The α-hydrazine tetrazoles were obtained by a facile azide Ugi four-component reaction (U-4CR) using cyclic ketones, trimethylsilyl azide, hydrazides, and corresponding isocyanide without any catalyst and with high bond forming efficiency at room temperature. 相似文献

The simplest field flow fractionation technique, which uses the earth's gravity as the external field is applied to isolate two populations, which differ in both shape and size, from a polydisperse sub-micron TiO2 powder of homogenous density. The fraction eluted first is spherical with an average diameter of 0.31 microm while the second fraction is ellipsoidal and can be associated with a 0.45 microm hydrodynamic diameter. Elution conditions appeared to be very sensitive to electrolyte and surfactant characteristics in the carrier phase as well as on the sample concentration. Using 25 microl (1%, w/w) sample suspension, separations of spherical from ovoid particles was performed in almost 2 h with a mobile phase of 0.001 M KNO3-0.01% (v/v) Fl-70 in water in a 0.025-cm thick channel made of polystyrene walls. 相似文献

Determining whether a protein regulates its net electrostatic charge during electron transfer (ET) will deepen our mechanistic understanding of how polypeptides tune rates and free energies of ET (e.g., by affecting reorganization energy, and/or redox potential). Charge regulation during ET has never been measured for proteins because few tools exist to measure the net charge of a folded protein in solution at different oxidation states. Herein, we used a niche analytical tool (protein charge ladders analyzed with capillary electrophoresis) to determine that the net charges of myoglobin, cytochrome c, and azurin change by 0.62±0.06, 1.19±0.02, and 0.51±0.04 units upon single ET. Computational analysis predicts that these fluctuations in charge arise from changes in the pKa values of multiple non‐coordinating residues (predominantly histidine) that involve between 0.42–0.90 eV. These results suggest that ionizable residues can tune the reactivity of redox centers by regulating the net charge of the entire protein–cofactor–solvent complex. 相似文献

A wide variety of spiroquinazolinone derivatives have been synthesized via a one‐pot three‐component reaction of isatoic anhydride, cyclic ketones, and hydrazides in the presence of catalytic amount (20 mol%) of H3PO3 in ethanol. In this letter, an expedient method was developed for the construction of novel indolo[2,3-c]quinolinone derivatives via palladium-catalyzed arylation of Ugi adducts obtained from the reaction of indole-2-carboxylic acid, various aromatic aldehydes, 2-bromoanilines, and isocyanides. The first main target of this work is to synthesis some emulsifiers from local raw materials used for cutting oil formulations. Seventeen emulsifiers (15 nonionic and 2 anionic) were prepared from locally available materials such as linear alkyl benzene sulfonic acid (LABSA), glycerol, polyethylene glycol, and maleic anhydride. Their chemical structures were confirmed using FTIR. The surface tension for the emulsifiers was measured at 25°C, and the surface and thermodynamic properties were calculated based on the surface tension parameters. The formulations of cutting oil fluids were prepared using these emulsifiers. The second target is to investigate the stability of soluble oil blends and emulsion stability of soluble oil in water. The results are discussed in the light of surface‐active properties and chemical structure of emulsifiers. 相似文献

In this paper, we have investigated the performance of a nano-optical directional coupler based on gap plasmon waveguides. The coupler consists of two waveguides having a localized coupled plasmon propagating between two semi-cylindrical surfaces. It is clear that the wave number and correspondingly light confinement in the waveguides are the most effective parameters in coupling strength and coupling length. Some expected and unexpected dependencies of the coupling length on the structure parameters are shown. Simulation results of the coupler obtained by the compact-2D finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method comply with those derived by an analytic method with the aid of the finite-element frequency-domain (FEFD) software package of COMSOL. The considered structures, because of their small coupling length and dimensions are appropriate for use in optical integrated circuits. 相似文献
