The problem of functional foods with bioactive components of natural origin is current for the food industry. Plant extracts rich in polyphenols with antioxidant and antimicrobial activity are a promising source for use in improving the quality and characteristics of fresh meat and meat products. In this context, the purpose of the present study was to evaluate the physico-chemical, microbiological, sensory properties of sausages prepared with the addition of lyophilized extract of basil, thyme or tarragon. For the beginning, the total amount of polyphenols, the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of the extracts obtained from three spices were evaluated. In the sausages previously infected with Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli it was observed that there is a much larger number of colonies of microorganisms in the control sample compared to the other samples within 24 and 48 h. Moreover, following the addition of sausage extracts, no changes were found regarding their sensory acceptability.  相似文献

Cryptands with di-yne units were obtained in good yields by the acetylenic homocoupling reaction of tripodands possesing terminal ethynyl units on the pendant arms. The coupling reactions also led to isomeric bismacrocylic compounds, and the shifting of the process toward the products of intramolecular or intermolecular coupling reactions was influenced by the structure of tripodands and by the coupling reaction conditions.  相似文献

Two types of magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles were investigated as adsorbents for the simultaneous removal of Pb(II), Cd(II), and As(III) metal ions from aqueous solution. Magnetite nanoparticles were prepared by two synthesis procedures, both using water as solvent, and are referred to as conventional Fe3O4 nanoparticles and green Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The latter used Citrus limon (lemon) aqueous peel extract as the surfactant. Box–Behnken experimental design was used to investigate the effects of parameters such as initial concentration (20–150?mg?L?1), pH (2–9), and biomass dosage (1–5?g?L?1) on the removal of Pb(II), Cd(II), and As(III) ions. The optimum parameters for removal of the studied metal ions from aqueous solutions, including the initial ion concentration (20?mg?L?1), pH (5.5) and adsorbent dose (5?g?L?1), were determined. The pseudosecond-order model exhibited the best fit for the kinetic studies, while adsorption equilibrium isotherms were best described by Langmuir and Freundlich models. The optimum conditions were applied for the treatment wastewater. The removal efficiencies of Pb(II), Cd(II), and As(III) using the conventional and green synthesized Fe3O4 nanoparticles were 59.4?±?4.3, 18.7?±?1.9 and 17.5?±?1.6, and 98.8?±?5.6, 46.0?±?1.3, and 48.2?±?2.6%, respectively. These results demonstrate the potential of magnetite nanoparticles synthesized using C. limon peel extract as highly efficient adsorbents for the removal of Pb(II), Cd(II), and As(III) ions from aqueous solution.  相似文献

This paper describes the investigation of the potential of a quadrupole orthogonal acceleration time-of-flight mass spectrometer (Q-TOF) equipped with an atmospheric pressure ionisation interface for quantitative measurements of small molecules separated by reversed phase liquid chromatography. To this end, the detection limits and linear dynamic range in particular were studied in an LC/MS/MS experiment using 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine standards and 3,4-methylenedioxyethylamphetamine for internal standardisation. In a second phase, the experiment was repeated with real biological extracts (whole blood, serum, and vitreous humour). A calibration for 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine and its metabolite 3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine was prepared in each of these matrices again using 3,4-methylenedioxyethylamphetamine as internal standard. The resulting quantitative data were compared with those obtained by liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection for the same extracts. The Q-TOF results revealed excellent sensitivity and a linear dynamic range of nearly four decades (2-10 000 pg on-column, r(2) = 0.9998, 1/x weighting). Furthermore, all the calibration curves prepared in biological material were superimposable, LC/MS/MS and LC-fluorescence, and the quantitative results for actual samples compared very favourably. It was concluded that the Q-TOF achieves a linear dynamic range for quantitative LC/MS/MS work exceeding that of fluorescence detection and at much better absolute sensitivity. The thin layer chromatographic behavior of U(VI), Th(IV), lanthanides(III), Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) on silica gel H with di(n-butyl) and di(iso-butyl)dithiophosphoric acids as complexing agents in the organic mobile phase has been investigated. The results obtained show that the dithiophosphate anion has a substantial effect on the migration of these metal ions. The presence of electron-donor solvents in the mobile phase increases retention, especially for U(VI), Th(IV), and lanthanides(III). The effect is explained on the basis of greater solubility of the metal chelates of the dithiophosphoric anions in the organic mobile phase, because of a solvation process. Separation was investigated for three groups of metal ions — actinides, lanthanides, and d transition metals. By choice of an appropriate organic mobile phase, separation of the pairs Th(IV)-U(VI), Pr(III)-Sm(III), Sm(III)-Gd(III), and Gd(III)-Er(III) was achieved, as was separation of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) from each other. A complex separation mechanism based on adsorption-desorption, cation exchange, and extraction is suggested.
