We report infrared absorption of Y1Ba2Cu3O7−δ as a function of oxygen stoichiometry (0<δ<1) and copper substitution by iron in the spectral range of 450–700 cm−1. The strong bands associated with Cu-O vibrations undergo significant changes in their frequencies and intensities asδ is varied across the orthorhombic to tetragonal phase. These changes coupled with those arising as a result of doping with iron has helped in identifying the nature of the vibrational modes.  相似文献

In order to ascertain the effect of a donor monomer, vinyl acetate (VAc), on the graft copolymerization of acceptor monomers, ethyl acrylate (EA) and butyl acrylate (BA), grafting of mixed vinyl monomers (EA + VAc) and (BA + VAc) was carried out on Himachali wool in aqueous medium using ceric ammonium nitrate (CAN) as a redox initiator. Graft copolymerization was carried out at different temperatures for various reaction periods. Percent grafting and percent efficiency were determined as functions of 1) concentration of mixed vinyl monomers, 2) concentration of CAN, 3) concentration of HNO3 4) temperature, and 5) reaction time. VAc, the donor monomer, was found to decrease percent grafting of EA and BA onto wool.  相似文献

This paper presents a review of light scattering results on static and dynamic properties of ordered colloidal suspensions of charged polystyrene particles and fractal colloidal aggregates. Our studies on static structure factor,S(Q), of ordered monodisperse colloidal suspensions and binary mixtures of particles with different particle diameters, measured by angle-resolved Rayleigh scattering will be discussed. This will include determination of bulk modulus using gravitational compression and observation of colloidal glass (inferred from splitting of the second peak inS(Q)). Dynamic light scattering, with real time analysis of scattered intensity fluctuations, is used to get information about Brownian dynamics of the particles. Recent advances in the field of light scattering from colloidal aggregates which show fractal geometry will also be discussed.  相似文献

L-shell photoelectric cross section measurements have been made at 36·818 and 74·409 keV for four elements in the range 81 ≤Z ≤ 92. The measurements at 74·409 keV are found to agree with theory, within experimental uncertainties, but the experimental values at 36·818 keV are found to be higher than the theoretical predictions. The possible reasons for the observed discrepancy are discussed.  相似文献

H2O17 is a freely diffusible tracer and naturally occurring isotope of O16 detectable by MRI and has been shown to be useful for assessing cerebral perfusion in animal studies using direct and indirect MR detection techniques. However, earlier MR techniques are either not sensitive to changes in small concentrations of tissue H2O17 or are not practical for use on clinical scanners. In this work, a novel method for detecting H2O17 with high sensitivity has been proposed that uses a short, intense, binomial preparatory spin lock pulse with resonance offsets for high sensitive rapid, multislice imaging of tissue H2O17. Two sets of phantom experiments were performed on the 1.5 T and repeated on 3.0 T to assess the feasibility of the proposed technique. The phantom was constructed using ovalbumin and doped with 0.4 atom% and 1.0 atom% H2O17. After obtaining initial parameters, the proposed technique was validated in an anesthetized primate model that was injected with 1.8 cc of 40 atom% H2O17. Phantom experiments showed that the proposed technique was able to detect H2O17 with relatively high sensitivity and high B1 amplitude (and small offsets) preparatory pulses produced similar results as low B1 amplitude (and larger offsets). Primate brain study showed a 42.97% difference in mean signal intensity between pre- and post-H2O17 injection. The proposed technique was successfully implemented on a clinical scanner and was able to detect H2O17 with relatively high sensitivity. Primate study has shown that such a technique can be successfully used for human imaging applications to investigate and assess cerebral perfusion.  相似文献

The emergence of untreatable drug-resistant strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis is a major public health problem worldwide, and the identification of new efficient treatments is urgently needed. Mycobacterium tuberculosis cytochrome P450 CYP121A1 is a promising drug target for the treatment of tuberculosis owing to its essential role in mycobacterial growth. Using a rational approach, which includes molecular modelling studies, three series of azole pyrazole derivatives were designed through two synthetic pathways. The synthesized compounds were biologically evaluated for their inhibitory activity towards M. tuberculosis and their protein binding affinity (KD). Series 3 biarylpyrazole imidazole derivatives were the most effective with the isobutyl ( 10 f ) and tert-butyl ( 10 g ) compounds displaying optimal activity (MIC 1.562 μg/mL, KD 0.22 μM ( 10 f ) and 4.81 μM ( 10 g )). The spectroscopic data showed that all the synthesised compounds produced a type II red shift of the heme Soret band indicating either direct binding to heme iron or (where less extensive Soret shifts are observed) putative indirect binding via an interstitial water molecule. Evaluation of biological and physicochemical properties identified the following as requirements for activity: LogP >4, H-bond acceptors/H-bond donors 4/0, number of rotatable bonds 5–6, molecular volume >340 Å3, topological polar surface area <40 Å2.  相似文献

Rubidium uranium trisulphate [Rb2U(SO4)3] was prepared as a high purity compound of uranium in different lots of 250 g each. The compound was characterised and evaluated by chemical, atomic spectrosopic, infrared, X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric methods for its use as a chemical assay standard for uranium. The compound is stoichiometric, pure, homogeneous and stable in atmospheric conditions. The solubility studies showed that Rb2U(SO4)3 is easily soluble in mineral acids. An experiment based on Randomised Block Design was carried out to assign a value to the uranium content in Rb2U(SO4)3 from the statistically analysed chemical data. The assigned value of [34.167±0.042]% to the uranium content is in close agreement with the theoretical value of 34.152%. Based on these studies, Rb2U(SO4)3 is recommended as a chemical assay standard for uranium.  相似文献

By combining atomic layer deposition (ALD) and molecular layer deposition (MLD) thin-film techniques, the latter being a variant of the former in which organic precursors are used, it is possible to deposit thin films containing precisely controlled portions of inorganic and organic constituents. This in turn enables the adjustment of material properties by changing the number of ALD and MLD cycles applied during the deposition. In this work, the properties of such thin-film "alloys" prepared by varying the portions of Ti-4,4'-oxydianiline (Ti-ODA) inorganic-organic hybrid and TiO(2) in the structure were investigated. The films were deposited at 280 °C using TiCl(4) and water as precursors for TiO(2), and TiCl(4) and ODA for the Ti-ODA hybrid. The results demonstrate excellent tunability of the film properties such as degree of crystallinity, roughness, refractive index, and hardness depending on the relative number of TiO(2) and Ti-ODA cycles employed.  相似文献

The conversion of aldehydes into carboxylic acids using oxidizing agents is a common protocol in transformation chemistry. An efficient oxidation strategy of transformation of pyrazole‐4‐aldehydes to the corresponding acids using vanadium catalysts in the presence of 30% H2O2 as an oxidant is described. The catalytic technology was successfully applied to a range of various 4‐formylpyrazoles, and plausible mechanism is also discussed.  相似文献

Experiments and computer simulations demonstrate that water spontaneously fills the hydrophobic cavity of a carbon nanotube. To gain a quantitative thermodynamic understanding of this phenomenon, we use the recently developed two phase thermodynamics method to compute translational and rotational entropies of confined water molecules inside single-walled carbon nanotubes and show that the increase in energy of a water molecule inside the nanotube is compensated by the gain in its rotational entropy. The confined water is in equilibrium with the bulk water and the Helmholtz free energy per water molecule of confined water is the same as that in the bulk within the accuracy of the simulation results. A comparison of translational and rotational spectra of water molecules confined in carbon nanotubes with that of bulk water shows significant shifts in the positions of the spectral peaks that are directly related to the tube radius.  相似文献
