We consider a continuum model describing steady flows of a miscible mixture of two fluids. The densities ϱ i of the fluids and their velocity fields u (i) are prescribed at infinity: ϱ i | = ϱ i > 0, u (i)|∞ = 0. Neglecting the convective terms, we have proved earlier that weak solutions to such a reduced system exist. Here we establish a uniqueness type result: in the absence of the external forces and interaction terms, there is only one such solution, namely ϱ i ≡ ϱ i, u (i) ≡ 0, i = 1, 2. We present inelastic neutron scattering measurements of the low energy and strongly damped phonons in the high temperature bcc phase of zirconium. These phonons were investigated at different scattering vectors but equivalent phonon wave vectors in different Brillouin zones or along different but equivalent paths in the same Brillouin zone. Neither the observed differences in intensity nor in line shapes can be explained by the coherent one-phonon scattering law . This leads to an apparent violation of the fundamental symmetry of lattice dynamics. Taking into account the strong anharmonicity of these phonons, interferences between one- and multi-phonon scattering are held responsible for these effects. Measurements in different scattering planes reveal that due to the symmetry of the bcc lattice, these effects can only be observed in certain directions. Vector fields in three-space admit bundles of internal variables such as a Heisenberg algebra bundle. Information transmission along field lines of vector fields is described by a wave linked to the Schrödinger representation in the realm of time-frequency analysis. The preservation of local information causes geometric optics and a quantization scheme. A natural circle bundle models quantum information visualized by holographic methods. Alkaline and enzymatic hydrolyzes of poly(ethylene terephthalate) fabrics (PET) were mechanistically compared based on released degradation products (HPLC‐UV‐RI) and changes in surface properties [hydrophilicity, cationic dyeing, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS)]. Enzymatic hydrolysis led to an increase in the amount of hydroxyl and carboxyl groups on the surface resulting in an enhanced water absorption and dyeability. Enzymes partially adsorbed to PET fabrics during hydrolysis were completely removed by subsequent extraction according to XPS analysis. In contrast to the enzyme treatment, alkaline hydrolysis did not lead to an increase of hydroxyl and acid groups according to XPS while both treatments caused a substantial increase in hydrophilicity and were more effective on amorphous fibers. Alkaline hydrolysis led to a greater increase in the K/S value after cationic dyeing due to enlarged surface area. Consequently, ESEM‐images demonstrated that alkaline treatment drastically affected the surface morphology of the polymer resulting in crater‐like structures of the fibers, whereas after enzymatic treatment the morphology of the fibers remained unchanged. To reach similar benefits in hydrophilicity, drastically higher amounts of degradation products were released during alkaline hydrolysis as also indicated by >6% weight loss compared to <1% after enzyme treatment. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. At photolysis (253.7 nm) of monophenylphosphate (10?3 m) in O2-free neutral aqueous solution were determined: orthophosphate (Φ=0.006), phenol (Φ=0.0029), besides of small amounts of phosphorous acid, benzene, 2.2′-dihydroxybiphenyl and traces of 2.4′- and 4.4′-dihydroxybiphenyl. The yield of the main products is smaller at pH 2 and 12. Polymers were formed at u.v.-doses >2·1019 hv/ml. The electron yield determined by means of N2O increases from Φ (N2)= Φ(e aq ? )=0.012 to 0.019 changing the ester concentration from 0.001 to 0.1m. Φ (N2)-value rises by addition of methanol or increasing pH. As electron ejecting state an excited complex is postulated. The effective ionization potential of phenylphosphate in aqueous solution is ≦4.9 e.v.  相似文献
