Regioselective hydroxylation of aromatic acids with hydrogen peroxide proceeds readily in the presence of iron(II) complexes with tetradentate aminopyridine ligands [FeII(BPMEN)(CH3CN)2](ClO4)2 ( 1 ) and [FeII(TPA)(CH3CN)2](OTf)2 ( 2 ), where BPMEN=N,N′‐dimethyl‐N,N′‐bis(2‐pyridylmethyl)‐1,2‐ethylenediamine, TPA=tris‐(2‐pyridylmethyl)amine. Two cis‐sites, which are occupied by labile acetonitrile molecules in 1 and 2 , are available for coordination of H2O2 and substituted benzoic acids. The hydroxylation of the aromatic ring occurs exclusively in the vicinity of the anchoring carboxylate functional group: ortho‐hydroxylation affords salicylates, whereas ipso‐hydroxylation with concomitant decarboxylation yields phenolates. The outcome of the substituent‐directed hydroxylation depends on the electronic properties and the position of substituents in the molecules of substrates: 3‐substituted benzoic acids are preferentially ortho‐hydroxylated, whereas 2‐ and, to a lesser extent, 4‐substituted substrates tend to undergo ipso‐hydroxylation/decarboxylation. These two pathways are not mutually exclusive and likely proceed via a common intermediate. Electron‐withdrawing substituents on the aromatic ring of the carboxylic acids disfavor hydroxylation, indicating an electrophilic nature for the active oxidant. Complexes 1 and 2 exhibit similar reactivity patterns, but 1 generates a more powerful oxidant than 2 . Spectroscopic and labeling studies exclude acylperoxoiron(III) and FeIV?O species as potential reaction intermediates, but strongly indicate the involvement of an FeIII? OOH intermediate that undergoes intramolecular acid‐promoted heterolytic O? O bond cleavage, producing a transient iron(V) oxidant.  相似文献

A sensitive and rapid liquid chromatographic method was successfully developed and validated for the determination of sibutramine hydrochloride in bulk and capsules. Sibutramine in the presence of its degradation products was analyzed using UV detection at 225 nm. Chromatography was performed on a reversed-phase C8 (150 × 4.0 mm I.D., 5 μm) analytical column under isocratic conditions. The mobile phase was composed of acetonitrile:water (aqueous phase containing 0.3% triethylamine and pH adjusted to 7.0) (75:25, v/v) at a flow-rate of 1.1 mL min−1. No chromatographic interference was found during the analysis. Light was the stress condition which most contributed to sibutramine degradation. The method showed a linear response (r > 0.999) from 30 to 90 μg mL−1. The mean recovery for capsules was 101.2%. Inter-day assays showed relative standard deviations of 0.42 and 1.62% for bulk and capsules, respectively. The developed method is able to separate sibutramine from its major degradation products and it may be used in the quality control of this active pharmaceutical ingredient in both bulk and capsules.  相似文献

The combustion energies for 2-acetylpyrrole (cr) and 2-acetylfuran (cr) were determined using a static bomb calorimeter, whereas the combustion energy of 2-acetylthiophene (l) was determined with a rotating bomb calorimeter; both calorimeters have been recently described. The molar combustion energies obtained were: −(3196.1 ± 0.6) kJ mol−1 for 2-acetylpyrrole, −(2933.8 ± 0.7) kJ mol−1 for 2-acetylfuran, and −(3690.4 ± 0.8) kJ mol−1 for 2-acetylthiophene. From these combustion energy values, the standard molar enthalpies of formation in the condensate phase were obtained as: −(163.51 ± 0.97) kJ mol−1, −(283.50 ± 1.06) kJ mol−1 and −(123.93 ± 1.15) kJ mol−1, respectively. The obtained values of combustion and formation enthalpies of 2-acetylthiophene are in concordance with the reported previously. For the two last compounds, polyethene bags were used as an auxiliary material in the combustion experiments. The heat capacities and purities of the compounds were determined using a differential scanning calorimeter.  相似文献

Pouteria lucuma Ruiz and Pav., known as the ‘Gold of the Incas’ or ‘lucuma’, is a subtropical fruit belonging to the Sapotaceae family, with a very sweet flavor, used to prepare cakes, ice creams as well as in the baking and dairy industries. To date, the content of primary metabolites is known, but little information is reported about the composition in specialized metabolites. Moreover, no study is reported on skin which represent an important agricultural waste due to the high demand for lucuma. In order to have a preliminary metabolite profile of Pouteria lucuma, the extracts of pulp and skin have been analyzed by LC-ESI/LTQOrbitrap/MS/MS in negative ion mode. The careful analysis of the accurate masses, of the molecular formulas and of the ESI/MS spectra allowed to identify specialized metabolites belonging to phenolic, flavonoid and polar lipid classes. The LC-MS/MS analysis guided the isolation of compounds occurring in the pulp extract whose structures have been characterized by spectroscopic methods including 1D- and 2D-NMR experiments and ESI-MS analysis. Furthermore, the phenolic content of the extracts along with the antioxidant activity of extracts and isolated compounds was evaluated.  相似文献

In this paper, some results concerning the PageRank versatility measure for multiplex networks are given. This measure extends to the multiplex setting the well-known classic PageRank. In this work, the dynamic optimization of tubular reactors where nitroxide‐mediated radical polymerization (NMRP) of styrene takes place is performed. The effect of potential manipulated variables is addressed. The system is governed by partial differential equations (PDEs). The PDEs are discretized spatially giving rise to a differential‐algebraic equation (DAE) system. The DAE optimization problem is then solved using a simultaneous approach wherein the differential and the algebraic variables are fully discretized leading to a large‐scale nonlinear programming (NLP) problem. The resulting optimization problem is solved using an interior point algorithm capable of handling large‐scale NLPs.

Current methods used in document examinations are not suitable to associate or discriminate between sources of paper and gel inks with a high degree of certainty. Nearly non-destructive, laser-based methods using laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) were used to improve the forensic comparisons of gel inks, ballpoint inks and document papers based on similarities in elemental composition. Some of the advantages of these laser-based methods include minimum sample consumption/destruction, high sensitivity, high selectivity and excellent discrimination between samples from different origins. Figures of merit are reported including limits of detection, precision, homogeneity at a micro-scale and linear dynamic range. The variation of the elemental composition in paper was studied within a single sheet, between pages from the same ream, between papers produced by the same plant at different time intervals and between seventeen paper sources produced by ten different plants. The results show that elemental analysis of paper by LIBS and LA-ICP-MS provides excellent discrimination (> 98%) between different sources. Batches manufactured at weekly and monthly intervals in the same mill were also differentiated. The ink of more than 200 black pens was analyzed to determine the variation of the chemical composition of the ink within a single pen, between pens from the same package and between brands of gel inks and ballpoint inks. Homogeneity studies show smaller variation of elemental compositions within a single source than between different sources (i.e. brands and types). It was possible to discriminate between pen markings from different brands and between pen markings from the same brand but different model. Discrimination of ~ 96–99% was achieved for sets that otherwise would remain inseparable by conventional methods. The results show that elemental analysis, using either LA-ICP-MS or LIBS, provides an effective, practical and robust technique for the discrimination of document paper and gel inks with minimum mass removal (9–15 μg) and minimum damage to the document's substrate.  相似文献

To elaborate on superhydrophobic surfaces, we report the electrochemical synthesis, surface morphology, and wettability of hydrocarbon conductive polymer films obtained by the electrodeposition of polythiophene, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (i.e., PEDOT), and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxypyrrole) (i.e., PEDOP) derivatives. Highly hydrophobic films were obtained from n-C(14)H(29) and n-C(8)H(17) chains in the cases of polythiophenes and PEDOP, respectively. By contrast, superhydrophobic films were formed by the deposition of PEDOT substituted with n-C(10)H(21) chains (PEDOT-methyl undecanoate): static contact angle ≈ 160.6°, hysteresis ≈ 2°, and sliding angle ≈ 3°. Their surface properties were compared to those of previously reported fluorinated analogues. The water-repellent properties of PEDOT-methyl undecanoate were similar to the best surface properties obtained with fluorinated monomers. Even if the main approach for the chemical factor to build up superhydrophobic surfaces is via a coating of a fluorinated compound, this work confirms that the formation of fractal surfaces is able to achieve super-anti-wetting properties within a hydrocarbon series (less expensive with a favorable ecotoxic approach), and it opens a new path to bioinspired surfaces.  相似文献
