This paper is a continuation of the program started by Ruan (Acta Math Sin (Engl Ser) 19(3):485–496, 2003, Illinois J Math 47(4):1047–1062, 2003), of developing real operator space theory. In particular, we develop the theory of real operator algebras. We also show among other things that the injective envelope, $C^*$ -envelope and non-commutative Shilov boundary exist for a real operator space. We develop real one-sided $M$ -ideal theory and characterize one-sided $M$ -ideals in real $C^*$ -algebras and real operator algebras with contractive approximate identity.  相似文献

We show that a weakly integral braided fusion category ${{\mathcal C}}$ such that every simple object of ${{\mathcal C}}$ has Frobenius-Perron dimension ≤?2 is solvable. Due to the high costs and lengthy lead times involved with training health human resources such as physicians and surgeons, combined with the serious burden borne by the general population when health care provider shortages occur, advance planning of resource requirements is critical. This is particularly true in light of current demographic trends and Canada’s ageing population, which will potentially increase demand for health care providers in the future while also leading to the retirement of many of the providers currently practicing. The purpose of this research was to develop a model simulating the workforce within a single specialty at a national level, which includes students training to enter the profession, providing a tool that would help to inform future resource planning. We present the details of this model, developed using system dynamics modelling, and demonstrate it using the example of cardiac surgeons in Canada.  相似文献

The hemilabile Ad2P(o-C6H4)NMe2 ligand promotes fast, quantitative and irreversible oxidative addition of alkynyl and vinyl iodides to gold. The reaction is general. It works with a broad range of substrates of various electronic bias and steric demand, and proceeds with complete retention of stereochemistry from Z and E vinyl iodides. Both alkynyl and vinyl iodides react faster than aryl iodides. The elementary step is amenable to catalysis. Oxidative addition of vinyl iodides to gold and π-activation of alkenols (and N-alkenyl amines) at gold have been combined to achieve hetero-vinylation reactions. A number of functionalized heterocycles, i.e. tetrahydrofuranes, tetrahydropyranes, oxepanes and pyrrolidines were obtained thereby (24 examples, 87% average yield). Taking advantage of the chemoselectivity for vinyl iodides over aryl iodides, sequential transformations involving first a hetero-vinylation step and then a C–N coupling, a C–C coupling or an heteroarylation were achieved from a vinyl/aryl bis-iodide substrate.

For the first time in the published literature, a study is described concerning the use of the saw-sedge Cladium mariscus (C. mariscus) for adsorption of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) from aqueous systems. Among the experiments carried out, the elemental composition of C. mariscus was determined (C = 48.0 %, H = 7.1 %, N = 0.95 %, S = 0.4 %), FTIR spectroscopic analysis was performed to confirm the chemical structure of the adsorbent, and porous structure parameters were measured: BET surface area (A BET  = 0.6 m2/g), total pore volume (V p  = 0.001 cm3/g) and average pore size (S p  = 6.6 nm). It was shown that the effectiveness of removal of 2,4-D from aqueous systems using C. mariscus depends on parameters of the process: contact time, system pH, mass of sorbent, and temperature. Maximum adsorption was attained for a solution at pH = 3. Further increase in the alkalinity of the tested systems led to a reduction in the effectiveness of the process. The kinetic of adsorption of 2,4-D by C. mariscus was also determined, and thermodynamic aspects were investigated. The experimental data obtained correspond to a pseudo-second-order kinetic model of type 1. Additionally the negative values obtained for ΔHº indicate that the process is exothermic, and the negative values of ΔGº show it to be spontaneous. As the temperature of the system increases the spontaneity of adsorption is reduced, in accordance with the exothermic nature of the process.  相似文献

Critical behavior in the La0.6Sr0.4Mn0.8Fe0.1Cr0.1O3 ceramics was studied using magnetization methods. Results show that the paramagnetic–ferromagnetic transition is of second order. Based on the critical behavior analysis using the Banerjee criterion and the Kouvel–Fisher method, we find the critical exponents: β=0.395±0.010, γ=1.402±0.010, and δ=5.208±0.007, for which the magnetic interaction is satisfied within the three-dimensional Heisenberg model. Results indicate the presence of short-range interactions. The magnetic entropy change (−ΔSM) reached maximum values of 1.75, 1.45, 1.15, 0.8 and 0.43 J Kg−1 K−1 under a magnetic field variation of 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 T, respectively. Nevertheless, these (−ΔSM) values are much low for any potential application at this moment. The nature of this phenomenon is discussed in relation to the characteristics of the magnetic phase transition and critical exponents.  相似文献
