Intrinsic ligament and triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tears of the wrist: comparison of isovolumetric 3D-THRIVE sequence MR arthrography and conventional MR image at 3 T

Purpose

The purpose of the study was to validate the diagnostic performance of high-resolution isovolumetric magnetic resonance arthrography (MRA) for intrinsic ligament and triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tears of the wrist as compared to conventional MR imaging (MRI).

Materials and methods

Forty-eight patients with traumatic TFCC tears at arthroscopy were enrolled. All patients had underwent proton-density- and T2-weighted MRI before arthrography and three-dimensional T1 high-resolution isovolumetric examination (3D-THRIVE) MRA on a 3-T MR. We assessed the presence of scapholunate interosseous ligament (SLIL)/lunotriquetral interosseous ligament (LTIL) or TFCC tears using the arthroscopy as a gold standard.

Results

Arthroscopy revealed 37 TFCC central tears, 15 TFCC peripheral tears, 20 SLIL tears and 13 LTIL tears. Sensitivities of MRI and MRA were 70.3% and 94.6% for detection of TFCC central tears, 60.0% and 93.3% for detection of TFCC peripheral tears, 65.0% and 85.0% for SLIL tears, and 61.5% and 84.6% for LTIL tears. The specificity of the MRI was 100% for the detection of ligaments and TFCC tears. The specificities of the MRA for detection of TFCC central tears, TFCC peripheral tears, SLIL tears and LTIL tears were 100%, 97%, 96.4% and 100%, respectively.

Conclusion

Isovolumetric 3D-THRIVE wrist MRA provided better results for depiction of intrinsic ligament and TFCC tears than wrist MRI.

Non-destructive detection and generation of the Werner state via a dissipative process

We propose a scheme for the non-destructive detection of an unknown Werner state by detecting the steady-state output intensity of the probe field. Moreover, with a similar mechanism, a Werner state can be generated as a stationary state by pumping the cavity field. The numerical simulations indicate that both the state detection and generation schemes are effective and efficient.     

35kV高温超导可控电抗器数据采集系统设计

针对35kV高温超导可控电抗器,设计开发了一套专门用于监控电抗器工作状态的数据采集系统。根据其工作环境,选择了检测所用探头的种类以及对应的配套设备;根据数据采集本身精准度的要求,完成了数据采集仪器的选型;对探头数量、排布进行了优化选择,针对其发热问题较为严重的部位进行重点监控;利用Lab VIEW设计了一套完整的数据采集人机交互系统。     

Effect of optimized aging processing on properties of the sintered Dy-doped Nd–Fe–B permanent magnet

We investigate the effect of the optimized aging processing on magnetism and mechanical property of the sintered Dydoped Nd–Fe–B permanent magnet. The experimental results show that the magnetism, especially intrinsic coercivity, of the optimized aged Dy-doped Nd–Fe–B magnet is more excellent than that of the sintered one, but the former's strength and hardness are lower than that of the latter. It was observed that the optimized aged Dy-doped Nd–Fe–B magnet have more uniform grain size, thinner(Nd, Dy)-rich boundary phase. By means of the EBSD technology, the number of larger angle grain boundaries in the optimized aged Dy-doped Nd–Fe–B magnet is more than that of the sintered one. The reasons for the increased intrinsic coercivity and decreased mechanical properties of the optimized aged Dy-doped Nd–Fe–B magnet are also discussed.     

源气体对沉积的a-C∶F∶H薄膜结构的影响

采用微波电子回旋共振等离子体化学气相沉积(MWPECRCVD)方法,使用不同的源气体(CHF3CH4,CHF3C2H2,CHF3C6H6)体系制备了aC∶F∶H薄膜.由于CH4,C2H2,C6H6气体在等离子体中的分解反应不同导致了薄膜的沉积速率和结构上的差异.红外吸收谱的结果表明,用C6H6CHF3作为源气体沉积的薄膜中几乎不含H,而用C2H2CHF3所沉积的薄膜中的含氟量最高,其相应的CF振动峰位向高频方向偏移.薄膜的真空退火结果表明,aC∶F∶H薄膜的热稳定性除了取决于薄膜的CC键浓度外,还与CC键 关键词： 氟化非晶碳膜 电子回旋共振化学气相沉积 红外吸收光谱     

Vector subdivision schemes in (L_p(R~5))~r(1≤p≤∞) spaces

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the refinement equations of the formwhere the vector of functions = (1, … ,r)T is in (LP(R8))T,1 ≤ p ≤∞, α(α),α ∈ Z5, is a finitely supported sequence of r × r matrices called the refinement mask, and M is an s x a integer matrix such that limn→ ∞ M-n = 0. In order to solve the refinement equation mentioned above, we start with a vector of compactly supported functions (0 ∈ (LP(R8))r and use the iteration schemes fn := Qan0,n = 1,2,…, where Qa is the linear operator defined on (Lp(R8))r given byThis iteration scheme is called a subdivision scheme or cascade algorithm. In this paper, we characterize the Lp-convergence of subdivision schemes in terms of the p-norm joint spectral radius of a finite collection of some linear operators determined by the sequence a and the set B restricted to a certain invariant subspace, where the set B is a complete set of representatives of the distinct cosets of the quotient group Z8/MZ8 containing 0.     

Fundamental regular semigroups with inverse transversals

Let C be a regular semigroup with an inverse transversal C° and let C be generated by its idempotents. Following W. D. Munn and T. E. Hall’s idea, in this paper, a fundamental regular semigroup T _C,C° with an inverse transversal T _C,C° ^° is constructed such that the following holds. For any regular semigroup S with an inverse transversal S° and 〈E(S)〉 = C, C° = C ∩ S°, there is a homomorphism φ from S to T _C,C° such that the kernel of φ is the maximum idempotent-separating congruence on S, and φ satisfies: (1) φ| _C is a homomorphism from C onto 〈E(T _C,C°)〉 ; (2) φ| _S° is a homomorphism from S° to T _C,C° °. In particular, S is fundamental if and only if S is isomorphic to a full subsemigroup of T _C,C°. Our fundamental regular semigroup T _C,C° is isomorphic to a subsemigroup of the Hall semigroup of C but it is easier to handle. Its elements are partial transformations, and the operation—although not the usual composition—is defined by means of composition.     

The leveling of mask and wafer in proximity nanolithography using fringe pattern phase analysis

The fringe pattern phase analysis method is proposed for the leveling of mask and wafer in proximity lithography. The tilt between mask and wafer in the space is reflected in the tilted fringe pattern. The method combining the 2-D Fourier transform and 2-D Hanning window is proposed for processing the tilted fringe pattern. The offset and angle of tilt are extracted through phase analysis. Computer simulation and experiment are both performed to verify this method. The results indicate that the tilt of the mask and wafer in the space can be extracted with high accuracy through this method.
