We report multiferroic properties in a 3% Mn-doped CdTe (CdTe:Mn or CTM) thin film grown in a co-deposition system constituting pulsed laser deposition and radio frequency (RF) sputtering, in which the Mn concentration was tuned by the sputtering rate of Mn. We observed a clear ferroelectric hysteresis loop in the CTM thin film with remanent polarization of 3.5 μC/cm2 and ferromagnetism in the film at a temperature lower than the Curie temperature of 15 K. Both features show direct evidence of multiferroics in the CTM thin film.  相似文献

Let(M, θ) be a compact strictly pseudoconvex pseudohermitian manifold which is CR embedded into a complex space. In an earlier paper, Lin and the authors gave several sharp upper bounds for the first positive eigenvalue λ_1 of the Kohn-Laplacian □_b on(M, θ). In the present paper, we give a sharp upper bound for λ_1, generalizing and extending some previous results. As a corollary, we obtain a Reilly-type estimate when M is embedded into the standard sphere. In another direction, using a Lichnerowicz-type estimate by Chanillo, Chiu, and Yang and an explicit formula for the Webster scalar curvature, we give a lower bound for λ_1 when the pseudohermitian structure θ is volume-normalized.  相似文献

We show that there exists a systematic expansion around four spatial dimensions for Fermi gas in the unitarity regime. We perform the calculations to leading and next-to-leading orders in the expansion over E = 4-d, where d is the dimensionality of space. We find the ratio of chemical potential and Fermi energy to be mu/epsilon(F) =1/2 (E 3/2) + 1/16 (E 5/2) lnE -0.0246E (5/2) + ... and the ratio of the gap in the fermion quasiparticle spectrum and the chemical potential to be Delta/mu =2E(-1) - 0.691 + ... . The minimum of the fermion dispersion curve is located at |p|=(2mepsilon(0))(1/2), where epsilon_(0)/mu=2+O(E). Extrapolation to d=3 gives results consistent with Monte Carlo simulations.  相似文献

An optimal control problem with pointwise mixed constraints of the instationary three-dimensional Navier–Stokes–Voigt equations is considered. We derive second-order optimality conditions and show that there is no gap between second-order necessary optimality conditions and second-order sufficient optimality conditions. In addition, the second-order sufficient optimality conditions for the problem where the objective functional does not contain a Tikhonov regularization term are also discussed.  相似文献

The determination of fuzzy information granules including the estimation of their membership functions play a significant role in fuzzy system design as well as in the design of fuzzy rule based classifiers (FRBCSs). However, although linguistic terms are fundamental elements in the process of elucidating expert’s knowledge, the problem of linguistic term design along with their fuzzy-set-based semantics has not been fully addressed, since term-sets of attributes have not been interpreted as a formalized structure. Thus, the essential relationship between linguistic terms, as syntax, and the constructed fuzzy sets, as their quantitative semantics, or in other words, the problem of the natural semantics of terms behind the linguistic literal has not been addressed. In this paper, we introduce the problem of the design of optimal linguistic terms and propose a method of the design of FRBCSs which may incorporate with the design of linguistic terms to ensure that the presence of linguistic literals are supported not only by data but also by their natural semantics. It is shown that this problem plays a primordial role in enhancing the performance and the interpretability of the designed FRBCSs and helps striking a better balance between the generality and the specificity of the desired fuzzy rule bases for fuzzy classification problems. A series of experiments concerning 17 Machine Learning datasets is reported.  相似文献

In this paper, we address the problem of complex object tracking using the particle filter framework, which essentially amounts to estimate high-dimensional distributions by a sequential Monte Carlo algorithm. For this purpose, we first exploit Dynamic Bayesian Networks to determine conditionally independent subspaces of the object’s state space, which allows us to independently perform the particle filter’s propagations and corrections over small spaces. Second, we propose a swapping process to transform the weighted particle set provided by the update step of the particle filter into a “new particle set” better focusing on high peaks of the posterior distribution. This new methodology, called Swapping-Based Partitioned Sampling, is proved to be mathematically sound and is successfully tested and validated on synthetic video sequences for single or multiple articulated object tracking.  相似文献

In a segmented-in-series solid oxide fuel cell (SIS-SOFC), an interconnect (IC) provides electrical contact and sealing between the anode of one cell and the cathode of the next. A metallic silver-glass composite (SGC) is considered a promising alternative to ceramic IC materials in SIS-SOFCs. In this work, a simulation study is performed on a tubular SIS-SOFC to assess the effectiveness of the SGC-IC design and to predict the SOFC performance characteristics for various IC geometries and conductivities. The developed model provides detailed information on cell behavior, such as the internal resistance, the potential/current distribution, and the local gas species concentration. The results demonstrate that the SGC material greatly reduces a potential drop across the IC film. Thus, it provides the following substantial advantages over conventional ceramic IC materials: (i) increased power density and (ii) a larger degree of flexibility in the cell design. Moreover, the validation test, i.e., comparison of the simulated results with the experimental data, indicates that the model could serve as a valuable tool for design optimization to achieve the required SOFC performance.  相似文献

Molecular electronic devices that utilize single molecules or molecular monolayers as active electronic components represent a promising approach in the ongoing miniaturization and integration of electronic devices. Rapid advances in technology have enabled us to engineer molecular electronic devices with diverse functionalities. Significant progress has been made in understanding charge transport in molecular systems at the single-molecule level, and concomitantly, new device concepts have emerged. This review article focuses on experimental aspects of electronic devices made with single molecules or molecular monolayers, with a primary focus on the characterization and manipulation of charge transport.  相似文献

Zn–Sn–O (ZTO) thin film transistors (TFTs) were fabricated with a Cu source/drain electrode. Although a reasonably high mobility (μFE) of 13.2 cm2/Vs was obtained for the ZTO TFTs, the subthreshold gate swing (SS) and threshold voltage (Vth) of 1.1 V/decade and 9.1 V, respectively, were inferior. However, ZTO TFTs with Ta film inserted as a diffusion barrier, exhibited improved SS and Vth values of 0.48 V/decade and 3.0 V, respectively as well as a high μFE value of 18.7 cm2/Vs. The improvement in the Ta‐inserted device was attributed to the suppression of Cu lateral diffusion into the ZTO channel region. (© 2013 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献
