In this study, we are reporting on the electrochemical deposition of two kinds of semiconducting nanowires (ZnO and CuSCN) on different substrates. ZnO and CuSCN are n- and p-type transparent semiconductors whose electrochemical preparation has some similarity, and it is a combination of two steps: an electrochemical reduction with consecutive chemical precipitation. Here, we show that despite the different physicochemical nature of the studied materials, when they are deposited electrochemically, their dimensions depend mainly on the surface state of the used substrate. Thus, depending on the substrate morphology, nanowires with diameters between 50 and 380 nm from both semiconductors could be grown. It is also shown that ZnO and CuSCN nanowires could be successfully grown on glass and plastic substrates as well as on a metallic one. The possibility of growing these transparent semiconductors on flexible substrates opens new perspectives for their use in “invisible” electronic devices.  相似文献

Deterioration after excavation of archaeological iron artefacts buried in soil is often associated with the presence of chlorinated phases in corrosion products, leading to serious problems for conservation of metallic objects of cultural heritage. Therefore, in order to better understand the corrosion process related to the presence of chlorine, some high‐resolution techniques of material characterisation are implemented. The analyses are realised on cross sections of corroded iron objects excavated from archaeological sites dated from the 12th to the 16th century A.D. Cl‐containing phases appear even when the Cl level in the water is low. In addition to the common oxy‐hydroxide‐containing chloride, akaganeite (β–FeOOH) often mentioned in the literature, a ferrous hydroxychloride β–Fe2(OH)3Cl was also found in the corrosion layers. Moreover, part of the study is based on the preparation and desalinisation of pure akaganeite powder in order to characterise the influence of the chloride content on its crystalline structure as characterised by Raman spectroscopy. Measurements of the axial streaming velocity are performed by means of laser doppler velocimetry in an experimental apparatus consisting of a waveguide having loudspeakers at each end for high intensity sound levels. Streaming is characterized by an appropriate Reynolds number Re(NL), the case Re(NL)<1 corresponding to the so-called slow streaming and the case Re(NL)>/=1 being referred to as fast streaming. The variation of axial streaming velocity with respect to the transverse coordinate is compared to the available slow streaming theory. Streaming fluid flow is measured both in the core region and in the near wall region. Streaming velocity in the center of the guide agrees reasonably well with the slow streaming theory for small Re(NL) but deviates significantly from such predictions for Re(NL)>20 and its evolution for further increasing Re(NL) is discussed. Then streaming behavior in the near wall region is particularly studied. For Re(NL)<70, two vortices are present across the guide section as predicted by slow streaming theory. Then it appears that, when the Reynolds number is increased, two other vortices become visible in the near wall region. Different stages for the generation and evolution of these inner streaming vortices are presented.  相似文献

At the surface of attached kidney stones, a particular deposit termed Randall's plaque (RP) serves as a nucleus. This structural particularity as well as other major public health problems such as diabetes type‐2 may explain the dramatic increase in urolithiasis now affecting up to 20% of the population in the industrialized countries. Regarding the chemical composition, even if other phosphate phases such as whitlockite or brushite can be found as minor components (less than 5%), calcium phosphate apatite as well as amorphous carbonated calcium phosphate (ACCP) are the major components of most RPs. Through X‐ray absorption spectroscopy performed at the Ca K‐absorption edge, a technique specific to synchrotron radiation, the presence and crystallinity of the Ca phosphate phases present in RP were determined ex vivo. The sensitivity of the technique was used as well as the fact that the measurements can be performed directly on the papilla. The sample was stored in formol. Moreover, a first mapping of the chemical phase from the top of the papilla to the deep medulla is obtained. Direct structural evidence of the presence of ACCP as a major constituent is given for the first time. This set of data, coherent with previous studies, shows that this chemical phase can be considered as one precursor in the genesis of RP.  相似文献
