Compared to two‐dimensional substrates, only a few methodologies exist for the spatially controlled decoration of three‐dimensional objects, such as microparticles. Combining electrohydrodynamic co‐jetting with synthetic polymer chemistry, we were able to create two‐ and three‐patch microparticles displaying chemically orthogonal anchor groups on three distinct surface patches of the same particle. This approach takes advantage of a combination of novel chemically orthogonal polylactide‐based polymers and their processing by electrohydrodynamic co‐jetting to yield unprecedented multifunctional microparticles. Several micropatterned particles were fabricated displaying orthogonal click functionalities. Specifically, we demonstrate novel two‐ and three‐patch particles. Multi‐patch particles are highly sought after for their potential to present multiple distinct ligands in a directional manner. This work clearly establishes a viable route towards orthogonal reaction strategies on multivalent micropatterned particles.  相似文献

Girinimbine, a carbazole alkaloid isolated from the stem bark of Murraya koenigii was tested for the in vitro anti-tumour promoting and antioxidant activities. Anti-tumour promoting activity was determined by assaying the capability of this compound to inhibit the expression of early antigen of Epstein-Barr virus (EA-EBV) in Raji cells that was induced by the tumour promoter, phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate. The concentration of this compound that gave an inhibition rate at fifty percent was 6.0 μg/mL and was not cytotoxic to the cells. Immunoblotting analysis of the expression of EA-EBV showed that girinimbine was able to suppress restricted early antigen (EA-R). However, diffused early antigen (EA-D) was partially suppressed when used at 32.0 μg/mL. Girinimbine exhibited a very strong antioxidant activity as compared to a-tocopherol and was able to inhibit superoxide generation in the 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA)-induced differentiated premyelocytic HL-60 cells more than 95%, when treated with the compound at 5.3 and 26.3 μg/mL, respectively. However girinimbine failed to scavenge the stable diphenyl picryl hydrazyl (DPPH)-free radical.  相似文献

Our continuing studies on secondary metabolites from the stem bark of Calophyllum soulattri has led to the isolation of another new diprenylated xanthone, phylattrin (1), in addition to five other xanthones and two common sterols. The xanthones are soulattrin (2), caloxanthone C (3), macluraxanthone (4), brasixanthone B (5) and trapezifolixanthone (6) while the sterols are stigmasterol (7) and β-sitosterol (8). The structures of these compounds were determined on the basis of spectroscopic analyses such as 1D and 2D-NMR, HRESIMS, IR and UV. Compounds 1-7 exhibited moderate cytotoxic activities against SNU-1, HeLa, Hep G2, NCI-H23, K562, Raji, LS174T, IMR-32 and SK-MEL-28 cells.  相似文献

Raman intensity of intramolecular and lattice modes of crystalline alpha-bithiophene (alpha-2T) are investigated within density functional theory using a nonlinear response formalism. First, comparison between the calculated Raman spectrum and the experimental data allows the assignment of the main Raman lines over the whole frequency range. Then, a bond polarizability (BP) model, limited to first neighbors, is built. We show that, although the BP model cannot reproduce the changes of dielectric susceptibility under individual atomic displacements, it is accurate enough to reproduce the profile of the unpolarized nonresonant Raman spectrum of alpha-2T powder. Finally, the BP model, fitted on our first-principles results on alpha-2T, is applied with success to the alpha-quaterthiophene polymorph phases and alpha-sexithiophene, demonstrating on practical examples that first-principles and BP approaches are powerful complementary tools to calculate the nonresonant Raman spectrum of alpha-2T and make reasonable predictions on larger oligothiophenes.  相似文献

By using the spectral moments method, we calculate the infrared spectra of chiral and achiral single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) of different diameters and lengths. We show that the number of the infrared modes, their frequencies, and intensities depend on the length and chirality of the nanotubes. Furthermore, the dependence of the infrared spectrum as a function of the size of the SWCNT bundle is analyzed. These predictions are useful to interpret the experimental infrared spectra of SWCNTs.  相似文献

We demonstrate a new type of Au{111} substrate that is both atomically flat and optically transparent, which consists of solution-grown flat gold nanoparticles (FGNPs) deposited on indium tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass. We show that FGNPs are atomically flat single-crystal plates with large {111} faces that expose only 2-4 atomic layers. These FGNPs are excellent platforms for alkanethiol self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) and for high-resolution scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). Our supported FGNPs are also low-cost Au{111} substrates, employing only basic wet chemical techniques in preparation. This approach should be broadly applicable to other types of substrates for scanning probe microscopies.  相似文献

Conventional data envelopment analysis (DEA) assists decision makers in distinguishing between efficient and inefficient decision making units (DMUs) in a homogeneous group. Standard DEA models can not provide more information about efficient units. Super-efficiency DEA models can be used in ranking the performance of efficient DMUs and overcome this obstacle. Because of the possible infeasibility, the use of super efficiency models has been restricted. This research proposes a methodology to determine a distance-based measure of super-efficiency. The proposed methodology overcomes the infeasibility problem of the existing ranking methodologies. The applicability of the proposed model is illustrated in the context of the analysis of gas companies?? performance.  相似文献

We consider the Cauchy problem for the Schrödinger maps evolution when the domain is the hyperbolic plane. An interesting feature of this problem compared to the more widely studied case on the Euclidean plane is the existence of a rich new family of finite energy harmonic maps. These are stationary solutions, and thus play an important role in the dynamics of Schrödinger maps. The main result of this article is the asymptotic stability of (some of) such harmonic maps under the Schrödinger maps evolution. More precisely, we prove the nonlinear asymptotic stability of a finite energy equivariant harmonic map under the Schrödinger maps evolution with respect to non-equivariant perturbations, provided obeys a suitable linearized stability condition. This condition is known to hold for all equivariant harmonic maps with values in the hyperbolic plane and for a subset of those maps taking values in the sphere. One of the main technical ingredients in the paper is a global-in-time local smoothing and Strichartz estimate for the operator obtained by linearization around a harmonic map, proved in the companion paper [36]. © 2021 Wiley Periodicals LLC.  相似文献
