A dipyridylamine ligand with a pendant pyrrole (N-(3-N,N′-bis(2-pyridyl)propylamino)pyrrole, PPP) and its corresponding rhenium(I) complex, Re(CO)3(κ2-N,N-PPP)Cl, were synthesized. The structure of Re(CO)3(κ2-N,N-PPP)Cl was determined by X-ray crystallography. Electrochemical polymerization of the pyrrole moiety resulted in the immobilization of poly[Re(CO)3(κ2-N,N-PPP)Cl] film onto a glassy carbon electrode, which exhibited electrocatalytic activity for the reduction of CO2 to CO. 相似文献

With a view towards direct methanol fuel cell applications, novel sulfonated poly(phenylene sulfide sulfone nitrile) (sPPSSfN) has been prepared and subsequently crosslinked by a Friedel‐Craft reaction using 4,4′‐oxybis(benzoic acid) as a crosslinker to achieve lower water swelling and lower methanol permeability. The dimensional change of SPPSSfN40 is 43.7% in 90 °C liquid water but that of the crosslinked membrane, XsPPSSfN40, is 23.3% while maintaining proton conductivity at 0.22 S · cm−1. These results show that the Friedel‐Craft crosslinking of the novel sPPSSfN membrane effectively reduces water uptake and the degree of swelling while improving the dimensional stability and maintaining high proton conductivity.

2-Arylsulfanyl and 2-benzylsulfanylpyridinium N-arylimides (2) easily prepared from 3-aryltetrazolopyridinium salts (1) with aryl and benzylthiolates, respectively, reacted with various dipolarophiles yielding cycloadducts that underwent transformation to give tetrahydropyrrolo[3,2-b]pyridines (5, 6, and 8) in good yields. A similar rearrangement (formation of 15) was also observed in the case of parent derivatives being unsubstituted in position 2 (12). The abscence of any significant solvent effect, comparison of the sulfur and non-sulfur analogues, as well as the stereoselective nature of the observed ring transformation seem to support a sigmatropic mechanism. MoO3/Pt binary catalysts with various Mo/Pt ratios were prepared by an electrodeposition method for use as the anode in a direct methanol fuel cell. Pt was electrodeposited onto indium tin oxide (ITO) substrate, and then MoO3 was electrodeposited from an Mo-peroxo electrolyte on the top of Pt with different deposition times. The crystallinity of synthesized films was analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and the oxidation state of both the platinum and molybdenum were determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses. Scanning electron microscopy–energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM/EDS) was employed to investigate the surface morphology and composition. The catalytic activity and stability for methanol oxidation were measured using cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry in a mixture of 0.5 M H2SO4 and 0.5 M CH3OH aqueous solution. Electrocatalytic activity for CO oxidation was also evaluated in a 0.5-M H2SO4 solution. The addition of a proper amount of MoO3 was found to significantly improve both the catalytic activity and stability for methanol oxidation. 相似文献

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) have side effects including gastric erosions, ulceration and bleeding. In this study, pattern recognition analysis of the 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of urine was performed to develop surrogate biomarkers related to the gastrointestinal (GI) damage induced by indomethacin in rats. Urine was collected for 5 h after oral administration of indomethacin (25 mg kg−1) or co-administration with cimetidine (100 mg kg−1), which protects against GI damage. The 1H-NMR urine spectra were divided into spectral bins (0.04 ppm) for global profiling, and 36 endogenous metabolites were assigned for targeted profiling. The level of gastric damage in each animal was also determined. Indomethacin caused severe gastric damage; however, indomethacin administered with cimetidine did not. Simultaneously, the patterns of changes in their endogenous metabolites were different. Multivariate data analyses were carried out to recognize the spectral pattern of endogenous metabolites related to indomethacin using partial least square-discrimination analysis. In targeted profiling, a few endogenous metabolites, 2-oxoglutarate, acetate, taurine and hippurate, were selected as putative biomarkers for the gastric damage induced by indomethacin. These metabolites changed depending on the degree of GI damage, although the same dose of indomethacin (10 mg kg−1) was administered to rats. The results of global and targeted profiling suggest that the gastric damage induced by NSAIDs can be screened in the preclinical stage of drug development using a NMR based metabolomics approach. 相似文献

A matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS)-based method has been developed for rapid differentiation between Panax ginseng and Panax quinquefolius, two herbal medicines with similar chemical and physical properties but different therapeutic effects. This method required only a small quantity of samples, and the herbal medicines were analyzed by MALDI-MS either after a brief extraction step, or directly on the powder form or small pieces of raw samples. The acquired MALDI-MS spectra showed different patterns of ginsenosides and small chemical molecules between P. ginseng and P. quinquefolius, thus allowing unambiguous differentiation between the two Panax species based on the specific ions, intensity ratios of characteristic ions or principal component analysis. The approach could also be used to differentiate red ginseng or P. quinquefolius adulterated with P. ginseng from pure P. ginseng and pure Panax quinquefolium. The intensity ratios of characteristic ions in the MALDI-MS spectra showed high reproducibility and enabled quantitative determination of ginsenosides in the herbal samples and percentage of P. quinquefolius in the adulterated binary mixture. NH chemical shift temperature coefficients have been measured in a large series of N-substituted-3-piperidinethiopropionamides in which the NN distances are short but of varied length, as well as in a couple of the corresponding amides and in some simpler amides and thioamides. Geometries are calculated by means of ab initio DFT methods. The N-substituted-3-piperidinethiopropionamides show in most cases strong intramolecular N–HN hydrogen bonds according to IR spectra and ab initio calculations. For compounds with rather short NN distances the S=C–N–H moiety is non-planar. Dihedral angles as small as 160° are found. The NH chemical shift coefficients measured in non-polar solvents in all the N-substituted-3-piperidinethiopropionamides are more negative (−8 to −17 ppb/K) than in non-hydrogen bonded thioamides. For the latter in non-polar solvents like CDCl3 and toluene the temperature coefficients are as small as −1 to −4 ppb/K. The large negative effects can be related not only to the non-planarity of the thioamide group in a way that the more pronounced the non-planarity the more negative the temperature coefficients, but also to strong hydrogen bonding and the fact that the acceptor is a nitrogen. For similar amides with non-planar amide groups and nitrogen acceptor large negative temperature coefficients are likewise seen. In polar solvents like DMF the effects in simple thioamides are uniform and close to −6 ppb/K, whereas in the more complex compound like 4p(t) the temperature coefficient is close to 0. An essential feature of measuring temperature coefficients of compounds without strong intramolecular hydrogen bonds in non-polar solvents and at low temperatures is to keep the concentration low enough to avoid dimerisation. 相似文献

The role of sphingomyelinase (SMase) activation and mitogen activated protein kinases (MAPKs) activation in cellular apoptosis was investigated during the hyperthermic treatment of HL-60 human leukemia cells. Treating the cells for 1 h at 43(o)C caused more than 50% of cellular apoptosis within several hours. The neutral-SMase activity in the cells treated for 1 h at 42(o)C was slightly increased but decreased in the cells treated at 43(o)C or 44(o)C for the same period whereas the acid SMase activity was slightly increased after heating the cells at 42(o)C and 43(o)C and markedly increased at 44(o)C for 1 h. Treatment of cells with inhibitors of SMase activation and ceramide formation significantly reduced the heat-induced apoptosis. Three major families of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), i.e. ERK1/2, p38 and JNK, were activated by the hyperthermic treatment of cells. Inhibition of ERK1/2 with PD98059 exerted little effect on the heat-induced apoptosis and p38 inhibition with SB203580 slightly lessened apoptosis whereas, inhibition of JNK with SP600125 markedly suppressed the heat-induced apoptosis. These results indicate that heat-shock induced the activation of SMase, particularly acid-SMase, thereby causing apoptosis and that JNK played a pivotal role in heat-induced apoptosis in HL-60 leukemia cells. 相似文献
