The reduced transition probabilities, B(E2; 0(gs)+ -->2(1)+), have been measured in the radioactive isotopes (108,106)Sn using subbarrier Coulomb excitation at the REX-ISOLDE facility at CERN. Deexcitation gamma rays were detected by the highly segmented MINIBALL Ge-detector array. The results, B(E2;0(gs)+ -->2(1)+)=0.222(19)e2b2 for 108Sn and B(E2; 0(gs)+-->2(1)+)=0.195(39)e2b2 for 106Sn were determined relative to a stable 58Ni target. The resulting B(E2) values are approximately 30% larger than shell-model predictions and deviate from the generalized seniority model. This experimental result may point towards a weakening of the N=Z=50 shell closure.  相似文献

Lifetimes of states in the yrast superdeformed bands of 163Lu and 164Lu were determined in a Doppler-shift attenuation-method experiment. From fractional Doppler shifts and line shapes, average transition quadrupole moments, Q t = 8.2-0.6 +1.0 b and 7.1-0.6 +0.5 b, were deduced for one of the bands in 163Lu and 164Lu, respectively. These values are much larger than the quadrupole moment of the normal-deformed yrast band in 163Yb, Q t = 4.9-0.4 +1.3 b, that was also determined in this experiment. Comparison to cranking calculations indicates that both superdeformed bands correspond to a local potential energy minimum with a pronounced triaxiality, γ∼ 20°. The neutron deficient nucleus82Zr has been studied through the reaction58Ni(28Si, 2p 2n)82Zr with a calculated cross section of 0.3% of the total fusion cross section atE(28Si)=128 MeV. Gamma rays from excited states of82Zr were measured and identified using the NORDBALL escape-suppression array at the Niels Bohr Institute. Reaction channel selection was performed by use of neutron and charged particle detector arrays in conjunction with the germanium detectors. A rotational band in82Zr has been identified with spins up to 20 ? by analysis of reaction channel selectedγ-γ coincidence matrices. Band crossings were identified at frequencies 0.57 and 0.69 MeV.  相似文献

In an in-beam study of 67 151 Ho84 we have established its high-spin states up to 10 MeV and have suggested spin assignments up to (49/2) at 6.2 MeV. The main decay-cascade proceeds through the yrast states of the h3 11/2f2 7/2 and h3 11/2f7/2h9/2 5-particle configurations, which are predicted with good accuracy in parameter-free shell-model calculations. States with one proton in d3/2, or involving i13/2 or f7/2×3 excitations were also identified.  相似文献

A new 710 ns isomer in 179W is found to decay directly into backbending region of the 72-(514) gorund-state band. The i132 band is observed up to spin 412 and shows no evidence for backbending at core rotational frequencies, where the effect is observed in the 179W and 180W ground-state bands.  相似文献
