In this article, the preparation, X-ray powder results and vibrational properties of a new type of complex with planar dithiooxamides are discussed. In acetonitrile, Cu(I) can form complexes with the formula Cu(LH2)2X1 (X = Cl, Br) where LH2 is an N,N'-disubstituted dithiooxamide. Complexes with N,N'-dimethyldithiooxamide and N,N'-diethyldithiooxamide have been prepared. A thorough vibrational analysis with infrared and Raman techniques was performed, assisted by H/D and 63Cu/65Cu isotope substitution. The vibrational study indicates the presence of an inversion centre in the structure. This leads to the proposal of a very unusual six-coordinate structure for these compounds, with the two dithiooxamide ligands, having S-cis conformation, coordinated to the same copper and with the halogens bridged between two different copper atoms. Confirmation of this result was attempted by X-ray analysis, but although several methods were tried to obtain crystals, only powder X-ray data could be obtained, which could not give a definitive answer. Since such six-coordinate Cu(I) has never been described before, a less rigourous interpretation of the vibrational data was followed, leading to a square-pyramidal five-coordinate structure, with a rather weak bond between Cu(I) and a terminal halogen. The latter structure, with the data available up to now, seems a bit more likely, since five-coordination for Cu(I) has already been described.  相似文献

The assessment of conditional stability constants of aquatic humic substance (HS) metal complexes is overviewed with special emphasis on the application of ultrafiltration methods. Fundamentals and limitations of stability functions in the case of macromolecular and polydisperse metal-HS species in aquatic environments are critically discussed. The review summarizes the advantages and application of ultrafiltration for metal-HS complexation studies, discusses the comparibility and reliability of stability constants. The potential of ultrafiltration procedures for characterizing the lability of metal-HS species is also stressed.  相似文献

A method for the determination of geosmin and 2-methylisoborneol (MIB) in water by solid-phase microextraction (SPME) is presented. Various SPME fibre chemistries have been compared for their efficiency in extracting MIB from water. Extraction conditions including the extraction time and temperature have been optimised. A 30 ml water sample is extracted for 20 min at 60 degrees C using a divinylbenzene fibre, and the extract analysed by gas chromatography with ion-trap mass spectrometry detection. d5-Geosmin and d3-MIB are added as internal standards to compensate for any variability in the SPME process which is not carried out to equilibrium. Chemical ionisation, using acetonitrile as the reagent gas, was found to give superior sensitivity to electron impact ionisation (EI) for the detection of MIB. EI was used as the ionisation mode for detection of geosmin. The method shows good linearity over the concentration range 5-40 ng l-1 and gives detection limits of 1 ng l-1 for both geosmin and MIB. Recovery (93-110%) and precision (3-12%) over this concentration range, for both raw and treated drinking waters, are comparable to currently employed methods such as closed-loop stripping analysis (CLSA). The method offers the advantage of being simple to use, with much shorter analysis times in comparison to CLSA.  相似文献

A new method for visualising proteins in two-dimensional polyacrylamide gels was developed. Proteins were labelled with the fluorophore 2-methoxy-2,4-diphenyl-3(2H)furanone (MDPF) while present in the first-dimensional gel after isoelectric focusing and subsequently electrophoresed into the second-dimensional gel. High resolution spot patterns were produced and compared with other methods of visualisation. A new rapid imaging system based on a cooled charge-coupled-device was used to view the two-dimensional fluorescent protein spot patterns. The method allows the immediate and rapid imaging of two-dimensional gels at the end of electrophoresis with no further processing.  相似文献

Depending on the polarity and protic abilities of the solvent, 2-(2′-pyridyl)pyrrole can exist in either syn or anti rotameric forms. In nonpolar solvents, intramolecular excited state single proton transfer is observed, manifested by the appearance of low-energy tautomeric emission. The solvent-assisted excited state double proton transfer reaction is also detected. DFT calculations confirm low barriers for both single and double proton transfer processes in the lowest excited singlet state and show different character of the tautomerization in both cases: in the intramolecular reaction, mutual approach of two nitrogen atoms plays an important role.  相似文献

A simple, specific, rapid and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the assay of clotrimazole, in bulk drug and its pharmaceutical preparations. This method is based on the ion-pair complex reaction of clotrimazole and methyl orange in aqueous methanol, and in the presence of citric acid. The chromogen, being extractable with chloroform, could be measured quantitatively at 422 nm. All variables were studied to optimize the reaction conditions. Regression analysis of beer's plot showed good correlation in a general concentration range of 2-14 mu/ml. The proposed method has been successfully applied for the analysis of the bulk drug and its dosage forms such as powder, vaginal tablets, topical solution and creams. No interference was observed from betamethasone dipropionate (Lotriderm cream) or dexamethasone acetate and azidamphenicol (Baycuten cream) or other common pharmaceutical adjuvants. In addition, this method was also found to be specific for the analysis of clotrimazole in the presence of its hydrolytic products as well as imidazole, as a possible impurity.  相似文献

In the electrochemical reduction of 2,6-bis- and 2,4,6-tris(nitrophenyl) derivatives of 3,5-dicarbethoxy-1,4-dihydropyridine, in the first stage, one of the para-nitrophenyl groups in position 2 or 6 of the heterocycle is reduced. Free radicals have been obtained and identified, the primary species being ion radicals of the nitrophenyl type. The presence of the heterocycle in the molecule of the 1,4-dihydropyridine derivative stabilizes secondary free radicals of the nitrosophenyl type. In the process of electrochemical reduction, no evidence has been found of any intramolecular transfer of electrons or protons from the dihydropyridine part of the molecule to the nitrophenyl groups. We present a method for performing relativistic CI calculations in ground and excited atomic and ionic levels. An electron occupying a relativistic shellnκ in a given electronic configuration is described by a single numerical four-component Dirac-Fock orbital having the samen and κ quantum numbers to those of the shellnκ. Application of this method yields estimates for the I.P. (88 741 cm?1) and the core correlation energy (?30916 cm?1) for Sr II and for the total correlation energy in Sr III (?30916 cm?1). Core-valence correlation energies for the |core 5s〉 (?4379 cm?1), |core 6s〉 (?1191 cm?1) and |core 13s〉 (?32 cm?1) levels have been calculated for Sr II. Estimates for the total relativistic, Breit, vacuum polarization and self energy corrections for these levels are also reported. Configurations in which the core is not fully occupied have been found to yield significant contributions to the correlation energies of both ground and excited levels. Our results show that full scale relativistic CI calculations using numerical four-component Dirac-Fock orbitals are feasible and provide a useful ab-initio tool for the investigation of atomic properties within the framework of fully relativistic theories.  相似文献
