Henstock type integral in compact zero-dimensional metric space and quasi-measures representations

Properties of a Henstock type integral defined on a compact zero-dimensional metric space are studied. Theorems on integral representation of so-called quasi-measures, i.e., linear functionals on the space of ??polynomials?? defined on the space of the above mentioned type, are obtained.

Flow from the Soil Surface into a Fractured Porous Aeration Zone

The one-dimensional problem of the contamination of a fractured porous aeration zone as a result of a fast spill of fluid over the soil surface is investigated. The block capillary imbibition rate is approximated with allowance for the experimental data. An analytic dependence describing the trajectory of the leading contamination front is obtained and the depth of penetration of the spill into the soil is found. The block contamination profile is determined.     

Synthesis of poly(dimethyl){methyl[2-(2,2,3-trifluoro-3-trifluoromethylcyclobutyl)ethyl]}siloxane

The possibility of preparing a new fluorosiloxane elastomer by hydrolytic copolycondensation of the hydrosilylated derivative of 1-vinyl-2,2,3-trifluoro-3-trifluoromethylcyclobutane with dimethyldichlorosilane was examined.     

Bending vibrations of semiconductor wafers with local heat sources

Experimental and theoretical analysis of temperature fields generated by the pulsed current heating of metallization paths on a semiconductor wafer surface is performed. It is shown that any step change in the heating power causes bending vibrations of the wafer. Within the safety margins for semiconductor device operation, the vibration amplitude is proportional to the step amplitude. The damping factor for the entire wave packet is found (Γ=1103 s^?1), and frequency components of acoustic radiation excited in a 300-µm-thick silicon wafer are determined.     

Integration by Parts for Perron Type Integrals of Order 1 and 2 in Riesz Spaces

A Perron-type integral of order 1 and 2 for Riesz-space-valued functions is investigated. Some versions of integration by parts formula for this integral are proved for both orders. Supported by RFFI-0.5.01.00206.     

Role of the static pressure in experiments on flow control by means of surface capacitor discharges

The effect of the static pressure on the reaction force exerted on a plate above whose surface a gas flow has been induced by exciting a capacitor (barrier) discharge is investigated. In the experiments the discharge was restructured so that the reaction force and the corresponding momentum entrained by the neutral flow increased when the pressure was reduced from atmospheric pressure to 200 Torr, the power supplied to the discharge being fixed. The charge exchange effect is of importance for the formation of the resulting gas flow. It is shown that under the experimental conditions the effect of an increase in the force with decrease in pressure is associated with an increase in the plasma volume ahead of the electrodes and the total number of ions in this volume.     

Simulation of experiment on total external reflection of electron bremsstrahlung

Computer simulation of an experiment on scattering of a strongly collimated beam of 13-MeV bremsstrahlung electrons from a macroscopically smooth surface through ultrasmall angles is carried out by the Monte Carlo method taking into account the interaction of the beam with an extended air medium. A comparison of the results of calculations and experimental data indicates the possibility of total external reflection of γ quanta in the energy range ≤1 MeV.
