Microimaging Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy is able to monitor differentiation between normal and malignant tissues. All the specimens, previously submitted to histological analysis, displayed abnormal spectra compared with the corresponding normal tissues with changes in many diagnostic bands like those arising from phosphate, C–O and CH stretching vibrational modes. The comparison between cancer (K) and connective (C) spectra evidenced the following differences: in the vCH region 3000–2800 cm−1 no hypomethylation effect was evident in K; the convolution of the bands of connective indicated an expected higher membrane fluidity; in the neoplastic zone, Amide I and II modes showed convoluted bands with maxima at 1651 and 1547 cm−1, respectively, indicating an α-helix conformation of proteins due to changes in the secondary structure proteins upon carcinogenesis. Other signature bands, such as the deformation O–P–O phosphate band at 965 cm−1, suggested DNA conformational changes in solid cancer, infiltrating cancer and neoplasia in the region 1350–800 cm−1. These characteristic bands have been monitored as a function of the degree of cancer progression. Chemometric methods, such as principal component analysis (PCA) and hierarchical clustering analysis (HCA) have been used in order to distinguish spectra of neoplastic and normal zones.  相似文献

New ω‐alkenyl‐substituted ansa‐bridged bisindenyl zirconium complexes are prepared and tested as self‐immobilized catalysts for ethene polymerization. But, even at very high concentration of the tethered complexes and low pressure of ethene, there is no evidence of their insertion into the polyethene chain. A “cross polymerization” test, performed by copolymerizing the tethered complexes with ethene using rac‐Me2Si(2‐MeBenzInd)2ZrCl2 ( MBI ), does not lead to their incorporation into the polyethene chain. However, the corresponding ligand proves to be a suitable comonomer for ethene, and, through copolymerization promoted by MBI, innovative poly(ethene‐co‐2,2′‐bis[(1H‐inden‐3′‐yl)‐hex‐5‐ene) copolymers are prepared and characterized by 13C NMR. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 8-Methoxsalen was vehicled in nanoemulsion and in solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) prepared by the hot homogenization technique in order to be used in topical psoralen UVA (PUVA) therapy. Drug entrapment efficiency in nanoparticles was improved by choosing the appropriate lipid matrix. The use of α-tocopherol in the lipid phase reduces 8-methoxsalen induced photooxidation of porcine skin, which was evaluated in vitro by a malondialdehyde (MDA) test: This result is promising to reduce in vivo human skin irritation after PUVA therapy, which can be attributed to skin photooxidation.  相似文献

A novel heteroleptic ruthenium complex carrying a heteroaromatic-4,4'-pi-conjugated 2,2'-bipyridine [Ru(II)LL'(NCS)(2)] (L = 4,4'-bis[(E)-2-(3,4-ethylenedioxythien-2-yl)vinyl]-2,2'-bipyridine, L' = 4,4'-(dicarboxylic acid)-2,2'-bipyridine) was synthesized and used in dye-sensitized solar cells, yielding photovoltaic efficiencies of 9.1% under standard global AM 1.5 sunlight.  相似文献

The HPLC enantioselective separation of (R/S)-Naringenin, a chiral flavonoid found in several fruits juices and well-known for its beneficial health-related properties, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cancer chemopreventive, immunomodulating and antimicrobial activities, has been performed on both analytical and (semi)-preparative scale using an amylose derived Chiralpak AD chiral stationary phase (CSP). A standard screening protocol for cellulose and amylose based CSPs was firstly applied to analytical Chiralcel OD-H and Chiralpak AD-H, as well as to Lux Cellulose-1, Lux Cellulose-2 and Lux Amylose-2 in order to identify the best experimental condition for the subsequent scaling-up. Using Chiralpak AD-H and eluting with pure methanol (without acidic or basic additives) relatively short retention times, high enantioselectivity and good resolution (α=1.49, R(s)=3.48) were observed. Therefore, these experimental conditions were properly scaled-up to (semi)-preparative scale using both a pre-packed Regispack column and a Chiralpak AD column packed in house with bulk CSP. The developed preparative method proved to be superior to previously published methods in terms of elution times, separation and resolution and is suitable for obtaining a quick access to the desired enantiomers with high enantiomeric excess and amounts sufficient for biological investigations. Future scale-up options (enantioselective supercritical fluid chromatography or HPLC in the Simulated Moving Bed mode) were also evaluated. It could be shown that both methodologies have a high potential for future production of Naringenin enantiomers by enantioselective chromatography.  相似文献

We present a combined density functional theory (DFT)/time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) study of the geometry, electronic structure, and absorption and emission properties of the tetranuclear "cubane" Cu4I4py4 (py = pyridine) system. The geometry of the singlet ground state and of the two lowest triplet states of the title complex were optimized, followed by TDDFT excited-state calculations. This procedure allowed us to characterize the nature of the excited states involved in the absorption spectrum and those responsible for the dual emission bands observed for this complex. In agreement with earlier experimental proposals, we find that while in absorption the halide-to-pyridine charge-transfer excited state (XLCT*) has a lower energy than the cluster-centered excited state (CC*), a strong geometrical relaxation on the triplet cluster-centered state surface leads to a reverse order of the excited states in emission.  相似文献

In this study the chemical composition of the essential oil from aerial parts of Moluccella spinosa L. collected in Sicily was evaluated by GC and GC-MS. The main components of M. spinosa L. were α-pinene (26.6%), caryophyllene oxide (16.8%) and β-caryophyllene (8.6%). A comparison with other studied oils of genus Moluccella is made. Antibacterial and antifungal activities against some microorganisms infesting historical textiles were also determined.  相似文献

The blending of PLA with poly(butylene-adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT) is a promising strategy to achieve a toughened multiphase material. The blends ductility could be further improved through reactive compatibilization, i.e. inducing the formation of comb PLA-PBAT copolymers during the melt blending. In the present work a non-selective strategy was adopted which consisted in the use of a peroxide, 2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane. The phase morphology development and the final properties (torque, fluidity in the melt, tensile behaviour, thermal and dynamical-mechanical features) of the blends were studied as a function of the peroxide concentration. The elongation at break was improved up to a maximum value thanks to this approach and a corresponding minimum was observed in the value of the dispersed phase diameter. A structural characterization of the macromolecules formed during the reactive process was attempted by using size exclusion chromatography of the blends and comparison with the pure polymers obtained by processing in the presence of the peroxide.  相似文献
