SCHENBERG is a resonant-mass gravitational wave detector built in Brazil. Its spherical antenna, weighting 1.15 t, is connected to the outside world by a suspension system whose main function is to attenuate the external seismic noise. In this work, we report how the system was modeled using finite elements method. The model was validated on experimental data. The simulation showed that the attenuation obtained is of the order of 260 dB, which is sufficient for decreasing the seismic noise below the level of the thermal noise of the detector operating at 50 mK. 相似文献

The car interior is becoming quieter and other sounds are now exposed to user perception, such as the sound produced by interface buttons when actuated. So, the functional role of the button sound on interface operation and its aesthetic and emotional role on the user experience are now more important than before. However, little research and design effort has been paid to understand how to design buttons that produce a pleasant sound. Moreover, the button’s sound requirements received by interface manufacturers are ill-defined, insufficient or even inexistent, and consequently their conversion into specifications for manufacturing is problematic and leads to long and costly development processes. The purpose of this paper is to contribute to identify relevant acoustic parameters that explain the users sound preferences. Data on preference subjective judgments were collected and buttons acoustic signals were measured allowing the development of preference models based on partial least squares regression and neural networks methods. The former was successful in selecting the relevant parameters to describe the preference ratings of the buttons sound. The later, dealing with the non-linear nature of acoustic perception, was able to predict preferences based on the relevant parameters. 相似文献

It is reported the synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles via the chemical co-precipitation of Fe 3+ ions and their preparation by coating them with polyaniline. The electronic micrograph analysis showed that the mean diameter for the nanoparticles is ~15 nm. FTIR, powder X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy were used to understand the chemical, crystallographic and 57Fe hyperfine structures for the two samples. The nanoparticles, which exhibited magnetic behavior with relatively high spontaneous magnetization at room temperature, were identified as being mainly formed by maghemite (γFe2O3). The coated magnetic nanoparticles (sample labeled “mPANI”) presented a real ability to bind biological molecules such as trypsin, forming the magnetic enzyme derivative (sample “mPANIG-Trypsin”). The amount of protein and specific activity of the immobilized trypsin were found to be 13±5 μg of protein/mg of mPANI (49.3 % of immobilized protein) and 24.1±0.7 U/mg of immobilized protein, respectively. After 48 days of storage at 4 °C, the activity of the immobilized trypsin was found to be 89 % of its initial activity. This simple, fast and low-cost procedure was revealed to be a promising way to prepare mPANI nanoparticles if technological applications addressed to covalently link biomolecules are envisaged. This route yields chemically stable derivatives, which can be easily recovered from the reaction mixture with a magnetic field and recyclable reused. 相似文献

Some diuretic substances are controlled and monitored by the World Anti-Doping Agency as prohibited substances for use by athletes, such as triamterene (TRT). Thus, this work describes a voltammetric method based on graphite-epoxy composite electrode modified by tosyl-functionalized magnetic particles (GECE/MPs-To) for determination of TRT diuretic in urine sample. The TRT presented an oxidation peak at +1.24 V at GECE/MPs-To with irreversible behavior. Controlled potential electrolysis of the TRT at +1.26 V indicated the two electrons are transferred during amine group oxidation and the main product was identified by LC-MS/MS. The anodic peak current is 25 % higher at the modified electrode, suggesting that TRT is adsorbed on the magnetic particles. Using optimized conditions by using multivariate optimization of the parameters inherent of the square wave voltammetry, a calibration curve was constructed with a linear relationship for TRT from 0.500 to 99.8 μmol L?1. The limits of detection and quantification were 1.47 and 4.91?×?10?7 mol L?1, respectively. The proposed method was applied to urine sample and validated by LC-MS/MS technique where the values found and compared between the two techniques showed no significant difference at 95 % confidence. 相似文献

1H detection can significantly improve solid‐state NMR spectral sensitivity and thereby allows studying more complex proteins. However, the common prerequisite for 1H detection is the introduction of exchangeable protons in otherwise deuterated proteins, which has thus far significantly hampered studies of partly water‐inaccessible proteins, such as membrane proteins. Herein, we present an approach that enables high‐resolution 1H‐detected solid‐state NMR (ssNMR) studies of water‐inaccessible proteins, and that even works in highly complex environments such as cellular surfaces. In particular, the method was applied to study the K+ channel KcsA in liposomes and in situ in native bacterial cell membranes. We used our data for a dynamic analysis, and we show that the selectivity filter, which is responsible for ion conduction and highly conserved in K+ channels, undergoes pronounced molecular motion. We expect this approach to open new avenues for biomolecular ssNMR. 相似文献
