We introduce a new numerical technique for the calculation of the pore size distribution in two-dimensional disordered systems. Our method is based on a triangulation technique which allows a closer measurement of pores surface without any morphological hypothesis.In this work, we focus our calculations in simulated gels. Such materials are modeled in two different conditions: by means of the Diffusion-Limited and Reaction-Limited Cluster-cluster Aggregation algorithms, DLCA and RLCA, respectively. In both situations, when the particles concentration decreases, the average pores size increases. The more compact cluster in RLCA, compared with DLCA, is consistent with the pore size distribution we have calculated. The simulated mean pore size is quantitatively in agreement with experimental data from literature.  相似文献

A new sensor for simultaneous measurement of humidity and temperature is proposed. The sensor consists of Fabry–Perot cavity formed by two identical uniform fiber Bragg gratings. To make the cavity serves as humidity sensor, moisture sensitive polymer, which is polyimide, is coated on the FBG and on the cavity with different thickness. When the sensor is exposed to the relative humidity change, the polyimide will expand and stretch the fiber and induces strain on the FBG and on the cavity. The induced strain alters the grating period, cavity length and effective refractive index of fiber. The simulation results show that the humidity sensitivity and thermal sensitivity are 1.92 pm/%RH and 8.87 pm/°C, respectively, for polyimide coating thickness of 10 μm on the FBG and 15 μm on the cavity.  相似文献

The microstructural morphological changes in laser irradiated targets are investigated. Nd:YAG laser (1064 nm, ∼12 ns nominal, 1.1 MW) is used to irradiate 4 N pure (99.99%) fine polished and annealed silver samples in ambient air and under vacuum ∼10−6 Torr. The laser spot size and power density at tight focus are 12 μm and 3×1011 W/cm2, respectively. SEM micrographs and X-ray diffractograms of the exposed and unexposed targets reveal the surface texture and structural changes, respectively. Amongst the ablation mechanisms involved, exfoliation and hydrodynamic sputtering are found to be dominant. Surface modifications appear in the form of craters and ripples formation. Heat is conducted non-uniformly through narrow channels at the surface. Thermal stresses induced by the laser do not disturb inter planar distance of the target. On the other hand irradiation causes significant variations in grain size and diffracted X-rays intensities.  相似文献

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) coated hydroxyapatite was deposited onto a 316L stainless steel substrate by electrophoretic deposition. Deposition was carried out in a methanol suspension at pH 5.5 using a graphite rod as an anode. Parameters such as PVA concentration, deposition voltage and time were optimized to achieve a homogeneous, crack-free adhesive coating. Techniques such as X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were used to study the phase composition of the coated materials and the stability of hydroxyapatite in the presence of PVA.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a highly nonlinear dispersion flattened hexagonal photonic crystal fiber (HNDF-HPCF) with nonlinear coefficients as large as 57.5W−1 km−1 at 1.31 μm wavelength for dental optical coherence tomography (OCT) applications. This HNDF-HPCF offers not only large nonlinear coefficient but also very flat dispersion slope and very low confinement losses. Using these characteristics of our proposed PCF, it is shown through simulations by using finite difference method with an anisotropic perfectly matched boundary layer that this PCF offers the efficient supercontinuum (SC) generation for dental OCT applications at 1.31 μm wavelength using a picosecond pulse easily produced by commercially available less expensive laser sources. Coherent length of light source using SC is found 10 μm and the spatial resolutions in the depth direction for dental applications of OCT are found about 6.1 μm for enamel and 6.5 μm for dentin.  相似文献

The effect of simultaneous Sr substitution at the Ba and Y sites has been studied in the Sr0.75Y0.75Ba1.5Cu3O7–dsystem. Attempts to replace 25% Y and 25% Ba have been successful and superconductivity was observed above 78 K for Sr0.75Y0.75Ba1.5Cu3O7–d compound with high oxygen content, i.e., O6.76, and having orthorhombic crystal symmetry. The compound was treated in argon gas at 800°C to reduce the oxygen content and to induce some structural changes. The Sr0.75Y0.75Ba1.5Cu3O6.1 compound thus obtained has tetragonal symmetry and low oxygen content, O6.1. It has also shown superconductivity at 28 K. The paper presents a careful comparison of the structural and electrical properties and infrared absorbance spectra of the two compounds with the same metallic composition, Sr0.75Y0.75Ba1.5Cu3, but with different oxygen content and crystal symmetry. The study clearly establishes the occurrence of superconductivity in tetragonal Sr-substituted (both at Y and Ba sites in) YBCO.  相似文献

A simple, rapid and sensitive spectrophotometric method for the assay of clomipramine-HCl is described. It has been found that clomipramine-HCl reacts with ammonium molybdate in acetic medium to give blue color product exhibiting maximum absorbance at 712 nm. The reaction is selective for clomipramine-HCl with 1 μg/mL as visual limit of detection. It provides a basis for a sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of clomipramine-HCl. The method obeys Beer’s Law from 0.001 to 0.250 mg/mL. The standard deviation does not exceed 0.005 mg/mL. The method has been successfully applied to the determination of clomipramine-HCl in pure form and pharmaceutical preparations. The quantitative assessment of tolerable amounts of possible interferants was also studied. The results are reproduced within ±1% and are in good agreement with those obtained by the standard procedure.  相似文献

It is challenging to achieve stable and efficient radical emissions under ambient conditions. Herein, we present a rational design strategy to protect photoinduced carbonyl free radical emission through electrostatic interaction and spin delocalization effects. The host-guest system is constructed from tricarbonyl-substituted benzene molecules and a series of imidazolium ionic liquids as the guest and host, respectively, whereby the carbonyl anion radical emission can be in situ generated under the light irradiation and further stabilized by electrostatic interaction. More importantly, the anion species and the alkyl chain length of imidazolium ionic liquids show a noticeable effect on luminescence efficiency, with the highest radical emission efficiency is as high as 53.3 % after optimizing the imidazole ionic liquid's structure, which is about four times higher than the polymer-protected radical system. Theoretical calculations confirm the synergistic effect of strong electrostatic interactions and that the spin delocalization effect significantly stabilizes the radical emission. Moreover, such a radical emission system also could be integrated with a fluorescent dye to induce multi-color or even white light emission with reversible temperature-responsive characteristics. The radical emission system can also be used to detect different amine compounds on the basis of the emission changes and photoactivation time.  相似文献

Flow field of a cylinder with a mid-span curvature was experimentally investigated in a wind tunnel and a water tunnel. The azimuthal orientation of the cylinder was changed to obtain a nodal, saddle and a mixed nodal–saddle type of flow attachment. Surface flow topology suggested that the nature of the attachment strongly influenced the spanwise distributions of foci structures that play a significant role in introducing three-dimensionality in the immediate wake. Flow visualization in the water tunnel revealed that the length of a vortex formation region also followed the changes in the nature of the attachment. A symmetric shedding of vortices was observed with a saddle type of attachment. Wake mean velocity profiles showed that the velocity defect and therefore the drag of a curved cylinder was minimum for nodal, and maximum for saddle type of attachment. Nomenclature of the wake was compared with asymptotic profiles and equilibrium parameters. Approach to self-preservation, similarity and other features are discussed.  相似文献
