Scattering by a cylindrical cavity in a porous solid is studied by the boundary layer approximation of Mei and Foda. Quantitative results will be presented for two cases: (1) vacuum cavity and (2) cavity filled with fluid. In each case both P and SV incident waves will be studied. Focus will be on the stress distribution near the cavity surface and contrast to the non-porous case will be pointed out. The effect of fluid compressibility due to possible entrainment of air will be discussed. These results should be of interest to the design of long tunnels subject to earthquakes. 相似文献

The experimental charge density distribution of dimethyl-trans-2-oxohexahydro-pyrimidine-4,6-dicarboxylate 1 has been determined using single-crystal X-ray diffraction data measured at 100 K, in terms of the rigid-pseudoatom formalism. We study the magnetic quantum phase transition in an anisotropic Kondo lattice model. The dynamical competition between the RKKY and Kondo interactions is treated using an extended dynamic mean field theory appropriate for both the antiferromagnetic and paramagnetic phases. A quantum Monte Carlo approach is used, which is able to reach very low temperatures, of the order of 1% of the bare Kondo scale. We find that the finite-temperature magnetic transition, which occurs for sufficiently large RKKY interactions, is first order. In order to search for new materials for the application of magnetic refrigeration, the polycrystalline perovskite compound Nd2/3Sr1/3MnO3 was prepared by a solid-state method. The dependence of the magnetization on the applied field and temperature was measured near the Curie temperature. In terms of Maxwells equation, the temperature dependence of the absolute value of the isothermal magnetic entropy change |SM| at various applied fields from 1 T to 5 T was determined. The results showed that a large magnetic entropy change was observed in this compound. The maximum magnetic entropy change |SMmax|can reach 3.25 J/kgK with an applied field of 1 T at the Curie temperature of 257.5 K, which equals that of Gd. At 5 T applied field, it is 7.57 J/kgK. Such good magnetocaloric properties make this compound a promising candidate for the application of magnetic refrigeration in the room-temperature range. We synthesized two new compounds: Sodium 2-(4′-dimethyl-aminocinnamicacyl)-3,3-(1′,3′- ethyl- enedithio) acrylate (STAA-1) and Sodium 2-(4′-dimethyl-aminocinnamicacyl)-3, 3-(1′,3′-propylenedithio) acrylate (STAA-2). The maximum absorption of these compounds ranges from 460 to 520 nm with different molecular structures in different solvents. Meanwhile, the emission peak of these compounds arranges from yellow (510 nm) to red (605 nm). The emission spectra show red shift according to the strength of the hydrogen bonding property of the solvent. But the absorption spectra do not show clearly relationship with the strength of the hydrogen bonding property of the solvent. The Stoke shift of the compounds ranges from 42 to 102 nm. It changes in the following order, EtOH>H2O>DMF, and STAA-1>STAA-2 in the same solvent. The fluorescent quantum yield of STAA-1 was measured to be 7.12% with quinine sulphate as the standard compound in ethanol. Furthermore, the relationship of the fluorescence of STAA-1 with pH (ranges form 4 to 14) in water (c=∼10−4) was studied to make sure that these compounds could be used as proton sensors. 相似文献

Phosphoric acid‐doped crosslinked proton‐conducting membranes with high anhydrous proton conductivity, and good chemical stability in phosphoric acid were synthesized and characterized. The synthetic procedure of the acid‐doped composite membranes mainly involves the in situ crosslinking of polymerizable monomer oils (styrene and acrylonitrile) and vinylimidazole, and followed by the sulfonation of pendant imidazole groups with butanesultone, and further doped with phosphoric acid. The resultant phosphoric acid‐doped composite electrolyte membranes are flexible and show high thermal stability and high‐proton conductivity up to the order of 10?2 S cm?1 at 160 °C under anhydrous conditions. The phosphoric acid uptake, swelling degree, and proton conductivity of the composite membranes increase with the vinylimidazole content. The resultant composite membranes also show good oxidative stability in Fenton's reagent (at 70 °C), and quite good chemical stability in phosphoric acid (at 160 °C). The properties of the prepared electrolyte membranes indicate their promising prospects in anhydrous proton‐exchange membrane applications. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
