The article describes the use of iodic acid in combination with catalytic amounts of tetraethylammonium bromide (TEAB) as a mild and alternative reagent system for oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides. Herein, we report a mild and highly regioselective Rh(iii)-catalyzed non-oxidative [5 + 1] vinylic C–H annulation of 2-alkenylanilides with allenyl acetates, which has been elusive so far. The reaction proceeds via vinylic C–H activation, regioselective 2,3-migratory insertion, β-oxy elimination followed by nucleophilic cyclization to get direct access to 1,2-dihydroquinoline derivatives. The strategy was also successfully extended to C–H activation of 2-alkenylphenols for constructing chromene derivatives. In the overall [5 + 1] annulation, the allene serves as a one carbon unit. The acetate group on the allene is found to be crucial both for controlling the regio- and chemoselectivity of the reaction and also for facilitating β-oxy elimination. The methodology was scalable and also further extended towards late stage functionalization of various natural products.

A highly regioselective Rh(iii)-catalyzed non-oxidative [5 + 1] vinylic C–H annulation of 2-alkenylanilides and 2-alkenylphenols with allenyl acetates was described for accessing dihyroquinoline and chromene derivatives.  相似文献

To achieve the nutritional target of human food, boron (B) has been described as an essential mineral in determining seed and theoretical oil yield of Sesamum indicum L. The research to increase its cultivation is garnering attention due to its high oil content, quality and its utilization for various purposes, which include human nutrition as well as its use in the food industry. For this, a two-year field experiment was performed at PAU, Punjab, India to determine the effect of different concentrations of foliar-applied B (20, 30 and 40 mg L−1) and different growth stages of crop, i.e., we measured the effects on agroeconomic indicators and certain quality parameters of sesame using different concentrations of B applied at the flowering and capsule formation stages as compared to using water spray and untreated plants. Water spray did not significantly affect the studied parameters. However, B application significantly increased the yield, uptake, antioxidant activity (AOA) and theoretical oil content (TOC) compared to those of untreated plants. The maximum increase in seed yield (26.75%), B seed and stover uptake (64.08% and 69.25%, respectively) as well as highest AOA (69.41%) and benefit to cost ratio (B:C ratio 2.63) was recorded when B was applied at 30 mg L−1 at the flowering and capsule formation stages. However, the maximum sesame yield and B uptake were recorded when B was applied at a rate of 30 mg L−1. A significant increase in TOC was also recorded with a B application rate of 30 mg L−1. For efficiency indices, the higher values of boron agronomic efficiency (BAE) and boron crop recovery efficiency (BCRE) were recorded when B was applied at 20 mg L−1 (5.25 and 30.56, respectively) and 30 mg L−1 (4.96 and 26.11, respectively) at the flowering and capsule formation stages. In conclusion, application of B @ 30 mg L−1 at the flowering and capsule formation stages seemed a viable technique to enhance yield, B uptake and economic returns of sesame.  相似文献

Summary.  Various sulfa drugs were condensed with 4-isothiocyanato-4-methyl-2-pentanone at pH∼3–5 by refluxing in methanol to give various substituted mercaptopyrimidines. On condensation with 9-chloro-2-substituted or -unsubstituted acridines, sulfathiazole gave the corresponding condensed products. N-Ethylaminoadenosine reacted with 9-chloroacridine to the coupled product. Condensation of sulfathiazole with 9-isothiocyanato-2,4-substituted or -unsubstituted acridines afforded the corresponding condensed compounds. The structures of all synthesized compounds were confirmed by spectroscopic methods. Anticancer, antiinflammatory, and analgesic activities of all compounds were investigated. The present paper deals with ion transport studies on a new proton conducting composite polymer electrolyte — (PVAx:NH4SCN)y:PVAc system. Complexation and morphology of the composite electrolyte films are discussed on the basis of X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry data. Coulometry and transient ionic current measurements revealed charge transport through protons. The maximum ion conductivity was found to be 7.4·10−4 S·cm−1 for the composition: x=0.15, y=0.12. The observed conductivity behaviour is correlated to the morphology of the films. The temperature dependence of the electrical conductivity exhibits Arrhenius characteristics in two different temperature ranges separated by a plateau region related to morphological changes occurring in the electrolyte.  相似文献

Static and dynamic behavior of concrete and granite in tension with damage   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
A series of dynamic and static tensile-splitting experiments were performed on concrete and granite specimens to investigate the effect of induced damage on their tensile strength. These experiments were performed as part of a larger effort investigating the penetration process into the two materials. The strain rate each specimen was subjected to remained constant for these experiments, while the level of induced damage was increased. Damage was induced into the specimens through repeated drop-weight impacts and quantified using a statistical technique. The dynamic splitting experiments were performed using a split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB), while the static splitting experiments were conducted per the ASTM standard procedures D3967 and C496. As part of the investigation, photoelastic dynamic tensile-splitting experiments were also performed to establish the validity of using static relations for the determination of dynamic tensile strength. The experiments showed that the static splitting strength was highly dependent on the orientation of the induced damage with regard to the applied loading; however the dynamic tensile strength decreased with increasing damage with no apparent dependency on the random damage orientation. Photoelastic experiments have shown that the mechanism of failure changes for the dynamically tested damaged specimens, reducing their dependence on damage orientation.  相似文献
