The features of the first-passage-time density function are analyzed theoretically in terms of synchronization between noise and periodic signal in a symmetric double-square-well system. Resonance is demonstrated as a maximum synchronization between them. To have the maximum cooperation between signal and noise, it is shown that the noise strength at resonance should increase linearly with the frequency of the signal. The time scale of the process at resonance is also shown to increase linearly with the period of the signal.  相似文献

Till now the nanoscale focusing and imaging in the sub‐diffraction limit is achieved mainly with the help of plasmonic field enhancement by confining the light assisted with noble metal nanostructures. Using far field imaging technique, we have recorded polarized spectroscopic photoluminescence (PL) imaging of a single AlGaN nanowire (NW) of diameter ~100 nm using confinement of polarized light. It is found that the PL from a single NW is influenced by the proximity to other NWs. The PL intensity is proportional to 1/(l×d), where l and d are the average NW length and separation between the NWs, respectively. We suggest that the proximity induced PL intensity enhancement can be understood by assuming the existence of reasonably long lived photons in the intervening space between the NWs. A nonzero non‐equilibrium population of such photons may cause stimulated emission leading to the enhancement of PL emission with the intensity proportional to 1/(l×d). The enhancement of PL emission facilitates far field spectroscopic imaging of a single semiconductor AlGaN NW of sub‐wavelength dimension.

ZnS nanocrytsals of size ∼2.5 nm were prepared by chemical precipitation technique. Pressed pellets of nanostructured ZnS were implanted with He+ ions at doses of 5 × 1014, 1 × 1015 and 5 × 1015 ions/cm2. Raman spectra of both unimplanted and He+ ion implanted samples were recorded with ultraviolet (UV) excitation. LO, 2LO, 2TO, (LO + TA) and (2TO − TA) modes of ZnS were observed in the resonance Raman spectra of the unimplanted nanostructured ZnS samples. In addition, a surface mode was observed at 294 cm−1. With the implantation of He+ ions, the 2TO mode disappeared and 2LO mode became prominent and this observation was attributed to the decrease in band gap of ZnS nanocrytsals due to ion implantation. The exciton–LO phonon coupling strength was determined from the intensity ratio of 2LO to LO modes and it was observed that the exciton–LO phonon coupling strength increases with increase in implantation dose. In the present work, we report for the first time the observation of 2TO mode in the resonance Raman spectrum of nanostructured ZnS and also the modification of exciton–LO phonon coupling strength of semiconductor nanoparticles by ion implantation. Glucose stabilized palladium nanoparticles (PdNPs) have been prepared and the application of NPs in catalyzing both Suzuki and Heck reactions has been explored in aqueous media under microwave conditions. Both electron-rich and electron-deficient aryl halides can be coupled with a variety of boronic acids and styrene to access a wide variety of biaryl compounds and substituted alkenes in good to excellent yields. The catalyst can be recycled and reused four times with minimally affecting the morphology and efficiency of the nanoparticles. A plausible reaction mechanism has been proposed.  相似文献

First measurements of the Collins and Sivers asymmetries of charged hadrons produced in deep-inelastic scattering of muons on a transversely polarized 6LiD target are presented. The data were taken in 2002 with the COMPASS spectrometer using the muon beam of the CERN SPS at 160 GeV/c. The Collins asymmetry turns out to be compatible with zero, as does the measured Sivers asymmetry within the present statistical errors.  相似文献

Deuterium gas compressed in a palladium lattice is considered to form a quantum plasma of bosons leading to significant screening of the Coulomb potential between deuterium ions. Zinc ion fluorescence sensing and the binding properties of 4-methyl-2,6-bis(((phenylmethyl)imino)methyl)phenol (HL) have been investigated. It displays high selectivity for Zn2+ and can be used as zinc ion-selective luminescent probe for biological application under physiological conditions. The increase in emission in the presence of Zn2+ is accounted for by the formation of hexanuclear complex [Zn6(L)2(OH)2(CH3COO)8] characterized by X-ray crystallography. An approximately 6-fold Zn2+-selective chelation-enhanced fluorescence response in HEPES buffer (pH 7.4) is attributed due to the strong coordination of Zn(II) that would impose rigidity and hence decrease the nonradiative decay of the excited state. By incubation of cultured living cells (B16F10 mouse melanoma and A375 human melanoma) with HL, intracellular Zn2+ concentration could be monitored.  相似文献
