Detection of low caloric power of coal by pulse fast-thermal neutron analysis

This paper introduces the analysis method and principle of pulse fast-thermal neutron analysis (PFTNA). A system for the measurement of low caloric power of coal by PFTNA is also presented. The 14 MeV pulse neutron generator and BGO detector and 4096 MCA were applied in this system. A multiple linear regression method applied to the data solved the interferential problem of multiple elements. The error of low caloric power between chemical analysis and experiment was less than 0.4 MJ/kg. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

Power scaling of printed-circuit-board preionized TEA CO2 laser up to 3.6 kW

A high average power, high-repetition-rate TEA CO₂ laser employing printed-circuit-board preionizer is described. The power scaling of this preionization configuration has been demonstrated. The average output power reaches 3.6 kW at pulse repetition rate of 180 pps. Furthermore, the scaling-up ability of the rotating spark gap as high-voltage switch for high-average-power gas laser has been validated.     

The primary investigation of optical-limiting effects of optical active phthalocyanine derivative TMBO-SiPc

The optical-limiting property of an optically active phthalocyanine derivative with different configuration in chloroform solution was measured at 532 nm with 10 ns pulses. The excited state absorption cross-section σ_ex of the derivative was determined with the Z-scan technique. The results showed that the phthalocyanine derivative possesses larger σ_ex than the ground state absorption cross-section σ₀, indicating that it is a material for reverse saturable absorption. And it is specially noticed that the change in the optically active configuration affects its optical-limiting property significantly.

Synthesis of TiO2–SiO2/polymer core–shell microspheres with a microphase‐inversion method

A novel microphase‐inversion method was proposed for the preparation of TiO₂–SiO₂/poly(methyl methacrylate) core–shell nanocomposite particles. The inorganic–polymer nanocomposites were first synthesized via a free‐radical copolymerization in a tetrahydrofuran solution, and the poor solvent was added slowly to induce the microphase separation of the nanocomposite and result in the formation of nanoparticles. The average particle sizes of the microspheres ranged from 70 to 1000 nm, depending on the reaction conditions. Transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy indicated a core–shell morphology for the obtained microspheres. Thermogravimetric analysis and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements confirmed that the surface of the nanocomposite microspheres was polymer‐rich, and this was consistent with the core–shell morphology. The influence of the synthetic conditions, such as the inorganic composition and the content of the crosslinking monomer, on the particle properties was studied in detail. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Li+粘贴CHnCl3-nO2和CFnCl3-nO2( n = 1~3 )自由基：Li+–CHnCl3-nO2和 Li+–CFnCl3-nO2的结构与性质的研究

The structures and stabilities of these still experimentally unknown CH_nCl_(3-n)O_(2-)Li~ and CF_nCl_(3-n)O_(2-)Li~ ionshave been theoretically investigated by ab initio molecular orbital theory and density functional theory(DFT)inconjunction with the 6-311G(d,p),6-311 G(d,p),6-311 G(2d,p)and 6-311 G(2df,2p)basis sets.The optimizedgeometries,chemical bonding and NBO analysis indicate that these complexes of CH_nCl_(3-n)O_(2-)Li~ and CF_nCl_(3-n)O_(2-)Li~ exist as ion-dipole molecules.The calculated affinity energies of these species exceed 41.9 kJ/mol,which arelarge enough to suggest the possibility that these title complexes could be detected as stable species in gas phase byLi~ ion attachment mass spectrometry.     

A New Sesquiterpene Lactone from Ainsliaea bonatii

A new sesquiterpene lactone, Ainsliaolide A, was isolated from Ainsliaea bonatii. The structure was determined on the basis of spectral data.     

纸基质室温燐光法测定痕量核黄素的研究

本文以国产滤纸为基质,醋酸汞作重原子微扰剂,详细研究了 RTP 的各种条件,成功地建立了测定核黄素的纸基质室温燐光法(PS-RTP)。结果表明,核黄素标准曲线线性范围为5×10~(-6)～1×10~(-3)mol/L,检出限为0.75ng。将该法用于血清中核黄素的测定,标准回收率在93.5％～103％之间。     

Metal- and acid-free,TBN-mediated direct CH nitration of arenes

A metal-free, acid-free, direct and eco-friendly nitration methodology has been developed. A tert-butyl nitrite efficiently promotes the direct CH nitration of electron-rich arenes with good to excellent yields and regioselectivities. The practical utility of this protocol has been demonstrated in gram-scale nitration of crown ether and mono nitration of Sesamin. A plausible free radical mechanism is proposed based on detailed experimental observations.
