High-lying excited states in <Superscript>10</Superscript>Be from the <Superscript>9</Superscript>Be(<Superscript>9</Superscript>Be,<Superscript>10</Superscript>Be)<Superscript>8</Superscript>Be reaction

A transfer-reaction experiment of ⁹Be(⁹Be, ¹⁰Be)⁸Be was performed at a beam energy of 45 MeV. Excited states in ¹⁰Be up to 18.80 MeV are produced using missing mass and invariant mass methods. Most of the observed high-lying resonant states, reconstructed from the α + ⁶He and t + ⁷Li decay channels, agree with the previously reported results. In addition, two new resonances at 15.6 and 18.8 MeV are identified from the present measurement. The 18.55 MeV state is found to decay into both the t + ⁷Li_g.s. and t + ⁷Li* (0.478 MeV) channels, with a relative branching ratio of 0.93 ± 0.33. Further theoretical investigations are encouraged to interpret this new information on cluster structure in neutron-rich light nuclei.     

High power fiber lasers

In this review article, the development of the double cladding optical fiber for high power fiber lasers is reviewed. The main technology for high power fiber lasers, including laser diode beam shaping, fiber laser pumping techniques, and amplification systems, are discussed in detail. 1050 W CW output and 133 W pulsed output are obtained in Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, China. Finally, the applications of fiber lasers in industry are also reviewed.      

Symmetries and generalizedW∞ algebra of the modified KP equation

The infinitely many symmetries with arbitrary functions of timet for the potential modified Kadomtsev-Petviashvilli equation are obtained by using a simple direct method. These symmetries constitute a generalization of the well-knownW algebra.     

高压氢激发态之间的受激喇曼散射

本文采用非稳腔输出的XeCl准分子激光,首次观察到高压氢高激发态之间的受激喇曼散射,并讨论了它们产生的条件.     

Tunable self-shifting Bloch modes in anisotropic hexagonal photonic lattices

We study controllable self-shifting Bloch modes in anisotropic hexagonal photonic lattices. The shifting results from a deformed band structure due to deformation of the index distribution in each unit cell. By reconfiguration of the index profile of the unit cell, the direction in which the Bloch modes move can be controlled. Our theoretical predictions are experimentally demonstrated in hexagonal lattices optically induced in an anisotropic nonlinear crystal.     

Survey of experimental results on μCF including hyperfine effects

Complementary to the investigations of the most efficient dt cycle, also the other muon-induced fusion cycles in mixtures of hydrogen isotopes have been studied. The results of these dedicated experiments provide rich information about muon-induced few-body reactions and contribute significantly to a better overall understanding of CF. A summary of the recent progress will be presented. Special emphasis will be put on two characteristic examples, namely a new experimental approach to study the muonic cascade in H-D mixtures and the systematic study of hyperfine effects in muon-induced reactions.     

Soliton control in optical lattices with periodic modulation of nonlinearity coefficient

We address the dynamics of solitons in the optical lattices with periodic modulation of the nonlinearity coefficient. Based on the quasi-particle approach, the properties of fundamental soliton localized in optical lattices are theoretically analyzed and shown its potential application for controllable soliton switching. Moreover, the phenomena of multi-soliton splitting and the single-soliton constituent trapping in the optical lattices are illustrated and discussed.     

The Lagrangian and the Lie symmetries of charged particle motion in homogeneous electromagnetic field

In this paper, a constant of motion of charged particle motion in homogeneous electromagnetic field is derived from Newton's equations and the characteristics of partial differential equation, the related Lagrangian is also given by means of the obtained constant of motion. By discussing the Lie symmetry for this classical system, this paper obtains the general expression of the conserved quantity. It is shown that the conserved quantity is the same as the constant of motion in essence.     

对物理实验教学方法改革的一些看法

近年来，物理实验的仪器虽有较大的更新，但教学方法仍未摆脱旧的模式。作者从物理学史中一些著名实验得到的启示，结合多年从事实验教学的体会提出在物理实验教学中应注意的几个问题。     

数字全息图取样模型的简化研究

数字全息研究领域目前存在两种不同的数字全息图取样模型.按照这两种模型进行研究时, 不但涉及较复杂的数学运算, 在许多情况下还会导致不同的研究结果, 不便于理论分析及实际应用.基于对数字全息图记录的物理过程分析及电荷藕合器件(charge coupled device, CCD)几何结构的研究, 本文将这两种取样模型简化为相同的数学表达式. 利用数字全息图的余弦级数展开及取样定理对简化模型的研究表明, 简化模型不但具有清晰的物理意义, 而且可以方便地为应用研究服务. 基于简化模型对物光波通过光学系统到达CCD的数字全息记录系统进行了研究, 导出得到实验证实的波前重建表达式. 关键词： 数字全息 波前重建 相干光成像
