A microanalytical HPLC technique has been developed for determination of swertiamarin in Swertia species and bacoside-A in Bacopa monnieri. Small quantities (≥2 mg) of powdered plant material are required for analysis. The limits of detection (LOD) of swertiamarin and bacoside-A are 500 pg and 4,000 ng, respectively, in 2 mg plant material. Dried plant material from S. cordata and S. chirata contained 5.59 and 0.44% swertiamarin, respectively, and B. monnieri contained 0.12% bacoside-A. The simplicity, accuracy, and reproducibility of the method enable its use for estimation of marker compounds. 相似文献
Summary An efficient method for preparing pure 1,3,8,10,15,17,22,24-octanitrophthalocyanine derivatives of copper(II) (CuPON), cobalt(II) (CoPON) and nickel(II) (NiPON) has been developed. Elemental analysis, electronic spectra, i.r. spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, thermogravimetry and powder X-ray diffraction studies were done in order to check the purity, structural integrity, thermal stability and crystallinity of these complexes. Susceptibility measurements showed a variation in the magnetic moments of the complexes with magnetic field strength, indicating the presence of intermolecular cooperative effects. 相似文献
Triphenyltelluronium /gb-diketonates, RC(O)CHC(O)R1 (where R = CH3, Ph or CF3 and R1 = CH3, Ph, CF3 or 2-thienyl) have been prepared. Spectral data(IR, 1H and 13C NMR, mass spectroscopy) are presented and discussed in conjunction with molecular weight and conductivity data. It is concluded that weak coordination of the β-diketonate to the tellurium atom is a common structural feature of the compounds. 相似文献
Himalaya PartySmart capsule is a polyherbal formulation recommended for its liver-protective properties. As the formulation contains extracts of six different herbs, a large number of markers are present in the same. This research work reports the standardization of Himalaya PartySmart capsule using andrographolide and catechin as therapeutic phytoconstituents to assess its quality and efficacy. A specific, sensitive, precise, and accurate high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) method has been developed for the quantitative estimation of andrographolide and catechin. Separation was performed on TLC silica gel 60 F254 aluminum plates as the stationary phase using chloroform‒acetone‒formic acid (7:3:0.5, V/V) as the mobile phase with densitometric detection at 259 nm. The developed method was validated as per the recommendations of the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) Q2(R1) guideline. Each marker phytoconstituent showed a good linear relationship with an average correlation coefficient (r2) = 0.99 in the concentration range studied. The proposed method was found to be specific, precise, and accurate with recovery within the range of 95‒105% and hence can be used for the routine analysis of PartySmart capsule formulation.
The celebrated U-conjecture states that under the Nn(0,In) distribution of the random vector X=(X1,…,Xn) in Rn, two polynomials P(X) and Q(X) are unlinkable if they are independent [see Kagan et al., Characterization Problems in Mathematical Statistics, Wiley, New York, 1973]. Some results have been established in this direction, although the original conjecture is yet to be proved in generality. Fatty acid amides are a diverse family of underappreciated, biologically occurring lipids. Herein, the methods for the chemical synthesis and subsequent characterization of specific members of the fatty acid amide family are described. The synthetically prepared fatty acid amides and those obtained commercially are used as standards for the characterization and quantification of the fatty acid amides produced by biological systems, a fatty acid amidome. The fatty acid amidomes from mouse N18TG2 cells, sheep choroid plexus cells, Drosophila melanogaster, Bombyx mori, Apis mellifera, and Tribolium castaneum are presented. 相似文献
Continuous depth sensing indentation microhardness measurements were performed to investigate the effect of filler content and dimensionality on the mechanical behaviour of different polymer nanocomposites. In 1D filler reinforced nanocomposites (such as PP/MWCNT system), both the hardness and the indentation modulus were found to appreciably increase up to a filler weight fraction of 1.6 wt.-%. Further addition of the filler changed the properties only insignificantly. In the nanocomposites with 2D filler (such as in PA6/LS) both the hardness and the indentation modulus increase notably with the addition of the filler and showed intense plasticity. In the investigated systems and composition range, the 3D filler (such as PP/OS2) showed no reinforcing effect at all. In was concluded that the 1D and 2D nanofillers play much more effective reinforcing role to improve the mechanical properties than the 3D fillers. 相似文献
