In this article a unified approach is presented to hypertopologies on collections of nonempty closed subsets of a Hausdorff uniform space generated by a saturated and separating family of pseudo-metrics. One identifies here a suitable topology on the family of proper, convex and lower semicontinuous functions defined on a Hausdorff locally convex space for which the Young Fenchel transform is bicontinuous. This improves a well known result due to Mosco, Joly and Beer.  相似文献

Ondansetron, a widely used antiemetic agent, is a P‐glycoprotein (P‐gp) substrate and therefore expression of P‐gp at the blood–brain barrier limits its distribution to the central nervous system (CNS), which was observed to be reversed by coadministration with P‐gp inhibitors. Tariquidar is a potent and selective third‐generation P‐gp inhibitor, and coadministration with ondansetron has shown improved ondansetron distribution to the CNS. There is currently no reported bioanalytical method for simultaneously quantifying ondansetron with a third‐generation P‐gp inhibitor. Therefore, we aimed to develop and validate a method for ondansetron and tariquidar in rat and human plasma samples. A full validation was performed for both ondansetron and tariquidar, and sample stability was tested under various storage conditions. To demonstrate its utility, the method was applied to a preclinical pharmacokinetic study following coadministration of ondansetron and tariquidar in rats. The presented method will be valuable in pharmacokinetic studies of ondansetron and tariquidar in which simultaneous determination may be required. In addition, this is the first report of a bioanalytical method validated for quantification of tariquidar in plasma samples.  相似文献

Silicon substrates with (100) orientation were modified with amino-silane self-assembled monolayer (SAM) to provide amino (NH(2)) moieties at the substrate surface. Self-organization of polyaniline during chemical polymerization, on this modified surface, leads to the growth of highly oriented films at the substrate-polymer interface. The morphology studied using scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy revealed the formation of polymer film with well faceted pyramidal crystallites. XPS and FTIR spectroscopy were used to analyze the chemical structure of the film. X-ray diffraction measurements show the crystalline nature of the polyaniline, whose lattice parameters are in agreement with the reported values. This study underlines the importance of a SAM in deciding the structure and morphology of the deposited polymer.  相似文献

This article reports an easy chemical method of synthesizing boehmite nanofibers by a modified sol-gel process involving aluminum isopropoxide precursor. Nanorods of gamma-alumina have been successfully prepared after dehydration of the viscous sol at 600 degrees C for 4 h in air. The boehmite nanofibers and gamma-alumina nanorods were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy for surface chemistry and functional groups, scanning electron microscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy with selected area electron diffraction, and energy-dispersed spectroscopy for morphology and structure identification. The length of the boehmite nanofibers was found to be more than 10 mum with a crystalline lattice structure. The mechanism of formation of the boehmite nanofibers included the preferential growth along the longitudinal axis due to interaction between the solvent molecules and the surface OH- groups of hydrogen bonds. It is also suggested that the boehmite nanofibers may have formed due to the inherent instability of the planar structure of the boehmite lattice. The diameter of the gamma-alumina nanorods was found to be less than 10 nm with a varying length in the range of 50-200 nm. Boehmite to gamma-Al2O3 transformation was attributed to the loss of water molecules by internal condensation of protons and hydroxyl ions.  相似文献

A series of novel 2‐substituted benzimidazole and benzoxazole derivatives as a potential antimicrobial and antioxidant agent were synthesized via coupling of N‐methyl‐o‐phenylenediamine or 2‐amino‐phenol with aromatic aldehyde and acid in the presence of polyphosphoric acid as an efficient catalyst as well as solvent by conventional method in short reaction times with excellent yield. The newly synthesized benzimidazole and benzoxazole derivatives were evaluated for antimicrobial and antioxidant activity and exhibited excellent to good activities compared to the standard drugs. Furthermore, the theoretical predictions based on molecular docking against microbial DNA gyrase could provide an insight into the plausible mechanism of action and establish a link between the observed antimicrobial activity and the binding affinity shedding light on specific thermodynamic (bonded and nonbonded) interactions governing the activity. Furthermore, the synthesized compounds were analyzed for absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion properties and exhibited potential properties to build up as good oral drug candidates.  相似文献

Abstract— We have, previously, described a light-induced near infrared (700–850 nm) light scattering transient obtained in the presence of ATP from bovine rod outer segments suspensions in which the plasma but not the disk membranes were perforated (Uhl et al ., 1979a). This transient was termed the 'A' signal. To elucidate its possible origin, we have analyzed their angular and wavelength dependencies. These data have been compared with osmotically controlled (non-light) induced light scattering changes from identical control rod outer segments suspensions. It has been found that AD (the dark light scattering signal obtained in the presence of ATP) and ALS (the slow component of the actinic flash induced light scattering signal, AL) can be assigned to the swelling of the disk membranes while ALf (the fast component of this latter signal) can be attributed to the change in refractive index of the ROS caused by the hypsochromic spectral shift of photolyzed rhodopsin. The collective disk swelling associated with A, and ALS is consistent with the pumping of ions into the disk lumen by the action of a disk membrane bound ATPase.  相似文献

The reaction of hexachloropropene with hydroxy-coumarins and chromones has been utilized to synthesise dichloro-benzodipyrandiones. Eight mixed copper(II) complexes of the type [Cu(II)(D)(HL)], where D = anion of glycylglycine, glycyl-L-tyrosine or glycyl-L-phenylalanine, and HL = imidazole, 1-methylimidazole, 2-methylimidazole or benzimidazole have been prepared and characterised. The visible and EPR spectral studies of these complexes indicate that they are monomeric having five coordinate square pyramidal geometry (possibly distorted) about Cu(II). The dipeptide behaves as terdentate ligand in these complexes with amino, ionised amide nitrogen and carboxylate oxygen donor atoms approximately tetragonally disposed about Cu(II). The magnetic and bonding parameters obtained by detailed EPR spectral analysis coupled with electronic absorption spectral data suggest that imidazole, 1-methylimidazole, 2-methylimidazole or benzimidazole occupies the fourth position in the tetragonal plane and water molecule occupies an axial position about Cu(II) in solid state and in solution.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] An efficient asymmetric synthesis of the vasopeptidase inhibitor BMS-189921 was accomplished. Two short enantioselective syntheses of the common key intermediate (S)-alpha-aminoazepinone 6b were developed. Olefin 3 was converted to 6b via asymmetric hydrogenation. Alternatively, enyne 12 was converted to racemic alpha-aminoazepinone 15b, which was transformed to 6b by a practical dynamic resolution.  相似文献
