An optically active, axially chiral NAD model compound(1) with a quinoline ring system was reduced by the chiral NADH model compound (4), affording a mixture of 1,2- and 1,4-dihydroquinolines. Abstract

A method for a preliminary survey of the relationship between molecular structure and performance was described using 1506 random data of structure-acute toxicity for mice (intravenously dosed). The structural patterns of the weakest toxic structures (111) were extracted from the data and the patterns discriminated for 64.2% of the other structures (1395). As for the 826 structures of strongest toxicity, 78.3% were discriminated by these structural patterns. These results were obtained by using structural parameter ratios to describe the structural patterns and the exhaustive elimination process to select the best parameter ratio from many candidates. The results were summarized in the form of a chart which can be used for practical screening for the weakest toxic structures.  相似文献

The anisotropic g and hyperfine tensors of the Mn di-micro-oxo complex, [Mn(2)(III,IV)O(2)(phen)(4)](PF(6))(3).CH(3)CN, were derived by single-crystal EPR measurements at X- and Q-band frequencies. This is the first simulation of EPR parameters from single-crystal EPR spectra for multinuclear Mn complexes, which are of importance in several metalloenzymes; one of them is the oxygen-evolving complex in photosystem II (PS II). Single-crystal [Mn(2)(III,IV)O(2)(phen)(4)](PF(6))(3).CH(3)CN EPR spectra showed distinct resolved (55)Mn hyperfine lines in all crystal orientations, unlike single-crystal EPR spectra of other Mn(2)(III,IV) di-micro-oxo bridged complexes. We measured the EPR spectra in the crystal ab- and bc-planes, and from these spectra we obtained the EPR spectra of the complex along the unique a-, b-, and c-axes of the crystal. The crystal orientation was determined by X-ray diffraction and single-crystal EXAFS (Extended X-ray Absorption Fine Structure) measurements. In this complex, the three crystallographic axes, a, b, and c, are parallel or nearly parallel to the principal molecular axes of Mn(2)(III,IV)O(2)(phen)(4) as shown in the crystallographic data by Stebler et al. (Inorg. Chem. 1986, 25, 4743). This direct relation together with the resolved hyperfine lines significantly simplified the simulation of single-crystal spectra in the three principal directions due to the reduction of free parameters and, thus, allowed us to define the magnetic g and A tensors of the molecule with a high degree of reliability. These parameters were subsequently used to generate the solution EPR spectra at both X- and Q-bands with excellent agreement. The anisotropic g and hyperfine tensors determined by the simulation of the X- and Q-band single-crystal and solution EPR spectra are as follows: g(x) = 1.9887, g(y) = 1.9957, g(z) = 1.9775, and hyperfine coupling constants are A(III)(x) = |171| G, A(III)(y) = |176| G, A(III)(z) = |129| G, A(IV)(x) = |77| G, A(IV)(y) = |74| G, A(IV)(z) = |80| G.  相似文献

Eight S-glycosylated 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(tetrafluorophenyl)porphyrins (1a′, 1b′, 1a and 1b (a: S-glucosylated, b: S-galactosylated)) and their 1,3-dipolar cycloadducts, i.e. chlorins 2a′, 2b′, 2a and 2b were prepared by nucleophilic substitution of the pentafluorophenyl groups with S-glycoside. These photosensitizers were characterized by 1H, 13C and 19F NMR spectroscopies and elemental analysis. The photocytotoxicity of the S-glycosylated photosensitizers and the parent porphyrin (1) and chlorin (2) was examined in HeLa cells. Photosensitizers 1, 2, 1a′, 1b′, 2a′ and 2b′ showed no significant photocytotoxicity at the concentration of 0.5 μM, while the deprotected photosensitizers 1a, 1b, 2a and 2b were photocytotoxic. The strong inhibition by sodium azide of the photocytotoxicity of these photosensitizers suggested that 1O2 is the main mediator. The S-glucosylated photosensitizers 1a and 2a showed higher photocytotoxicity than S-galactosylated 1b and 2b, respectively. The cellular uptake of 1a and 2a increased up to 24 h, while that of 1b and 2b was saturated by 12 h.  相似文献

Specific acid catalysis of p-sulfonatocalix[n]arenes (n = 4, Calix-S4; n = 6, Calix-S6; n = 8, Calix-S8) was observed in the alcoholysis of N-acetyl-l-amino acids in methanol. The methanolysis rates of basic amino acid substrates (His, Lys, and Arg) were markedly enhanced in the presence of Calix-Sn, as compared with rates observed with p-hydroxybenzenesulfonic acid (pHBS), which is a noncyclic analogue of Calix-Sn. This catalytic effect of Calix-Sn was not observed for the methanolysis of Phe, Tyr, and Trp substrates. On the other hand, (1)H NMR experiments following the effect of Calix-Sn on N-acetyl-l-amino acid substrates in CD(3)OD showed that the spectrum of a mixture of the His substrate with Calix-Sn was significantly different from the combined spectra of the respective compounds. These changes in spectra support the formation of an inclusion complex of Calix-Sn with basic amino acids. Furthermore, it was obvious that methanolysis of the His substrate catalyzed by Calix-S4 and Calix-S6 obeyed Michaelis-Menten kinetics. These results indicate that the catalytic activity of Calix-Sn originates from its forming a complex with specific substrates (basic amino acids), similar to enzymatic reactions.  相似文献

Polylactic acid (PLA) in a crystallized state has mechanical properties at high temperatures superior to PLA in an amorphous state. However, a long annealing time is required to fully crystallize PLA. In this study, microfibrillated cellulose (MFC)-reinforced partially crystallized PLA composites were produced, with the goal of reducing the time required to fabricate PLA parts. A series of PLA/MFC composites at a fiber content of 10 wt% from degree of crystallinity (Xc) 0 to 43% was obtained by annealing at 80 °C. Although the annealing time required to obtain a composite (Xc: 17%) was only around one-seventh of the 20 min needed to fully crystallize neat PLA (Xc: 41%), both materials had comparable rigidity above the glass transition temperature (T g) and creep deformation at around T g. These results showed that partially crystallized PLA/MFC composite can replace fully crystallized neat PLA.  相似文献

A novel methacrylate monomer bearing 5,10,15,20‐tetraphenylporphyrinato palladium(II) (PdTPP) (monomer 1a ) was synthesized and copolymerized with isobutyl methacrylate (IBM) and 2,2,2‐trifluoroethyl methacrylate (TFEM) to give poly (IBM‐co‐TFEM) bearing PdTPP (copolymer 2a ) as a dye‐conjugated oxygen‐permeable polymer for pressure‐sensitive paint applications. The introduction of PdTPP into copolymer 2a was confirmed by UV–vis spectroscopy and extended X‐ray absorption fine structure analysis. The Stern–Volmer plots of the copolymer 2a and a mixture of PdTPP and poly(IBM‐co‐TFEM) both showed downward curvature, unlike that of the platinum complex analogue (copolymer 2b ) previously reported. The plots were successfully fitted with a two‐site model to give two distinct Stern–Volmer constants (KSV1 and KSV2) and the partition ratio f1. Interestingly, the f1 values for the copolymer 2a were almost constant at about 0.98, whereas those of the mixture of PdTPP and poly(IBM‐co‐TFEM) increased from 0.889 to 0.967 as the temperature was increased. This finding suggests that there are two distinct microheterogeneities, one temperature‐dependent and the other temperature‐independent, in the mixture of PdTPP and poly(IBM‐co‐TFEM). The dye‐conjugation approach effectively eliminates the temperature‐dependent, but not the temperature‐independent microheterogeneity. The luminescence decays of copolymers 2a and 2b and the corresponding mixtures in the absence of oxygen indicated that the temperature‐dependent microheterogeneity involves an oxygen diffusion process, whereas the temperature‐independent one appears to be inherent nature in PdTPP. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Na2O-B2O3-SiO2 (NBS) gels containing a large amount of CdS quantum-dots (10 wt%) were densified using the hot press (HP) sintering method. By HP treatment, full-densification temperature could be lowered by about 40°C than that of the normal non-pressing (NP) heat treatment. Exciton absorption of CdS quantum-dots in HP-sample showed a large blue shift compared with that in the NP sample, and the size-distribution of CdS dots remained very sharp, with a mean particle diameter d = 3.66 nm and a standard deviation of = 0.72. HP pressure had a large effect on the reduction of sintering temperature and time, resulting in the suppression of the aggregation and growth of CdS quantum-dots in NBS glasses.  相似文献
