By in situ observations using simultaneous X-ray diffraction and the DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) method, the effect of water, methanol, ethanol, and benzene on the crystallization has been observed in an ionic liquid (IL)-rich phase. The IL is a hydrophilic ionic liquid, N, N-diethyl-N-methyl-N-2-methoxyethyl ammonium tetrafluoroborate, [DEME][BF4]. At a small amount of the above additional molecules in the IL, the conventional preferred orientation on the Debye rings was seen by the X-ray diffraction. At 0.9 mol % H2O, twinlike crystal domains develop extraordinary on the microdomains. By the "crystal-growth enhancement effect" at a slight amount of water, a composite domain structure, which consists of the large domain and the weakly orientated microdomains, is formed without internal strains. Above 2.9 mol % H2O, the domain structure, however, disappears completely. It is remarkable that, in a thermal cycling experiment using pure [DEME][BF4], the similar composite domain structure appeared. This is also caused by an uptake of a slight amount of water.  相似文献

The extracellular matrix (ECM) is the natural fibrous scaffold that regulates cell behavior in a hierarchical manner. By mimicking the dynamic and reciprocal interactions between ECM and cells, higher‐order molecular self‐assembly (SA), mediated through the dynamic growth of scaffold‐like nanostructures assembled by different molecular components, was developed. Designed and synthesized were two self‐sorted coumarin‐based gelators, a peptide molecule and a benzoate molecule, which self‐assemble into nanofibers and nanobelts, respectively, with different dynamic profiles. Upon the dynamic growth of the fibrous scaffold assembled from peptide gelators, nanobelts assembled from benzoate gelators transform into a layer‐by‐layer nanosheet, reaching ninefold increase in height. By using light and an enzyme, the spatial–temporal growth of the scaffold can be modified, leading to in situ height regulation of the higher‐order architecture.  相似文献

Sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) diblock copolymers were studied through the postsulfonation process. Two kinds of hydrophobic oligomers with a molecular weight of 20 kDa were prepared in advance as block sequences and then coupled together to obtain diblock copolymers. One oligomer was synthesized from bis(4‐hydroxyphenyl) sulfone (BHPS) and 4,4′‐difluorodiphenyl sulfone (DFDPS), which was thought to be incapable of postsulfonation. The other oligomer was synthesized from hydroquinone (HQ) and 4,4′‐dichlorodiphenyl sulfone (DCDPS), which successfully proceeded to a hydrophilic sequence as a result of sulfonation onto the HQ moiety after the coupling reaction. Consequently, a diblock copolymer with high molecular weight was obtained; although its intrinsic viscosity was too low to form a tough membrane because of its high rigidity and high crystallinity. Therefore, the use of decafluorobiphenyl (10F) as a termination reagent was investigated with the aim of achieving higher coupling reactivity and a kinky property. As a result, a sulfonated diblock copolymer was successfully obtained with sufficient molecular weight and intrinsic viscosity to form the membrane, as well as with adequate thermal properties. It was observed that proton conductivity, water uptake, and the water diffusion coefficient increased with higher ion exchange capacity. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The endo/exo selectivities of Diels–Alder reactions of N-protected pyrroles with allene-1,3-dicarboxylates were studied under Lewis acid assisted and thermal reaction conditions. A novel attractive effect between the N-protective carbonyl group of pyrrole and the ester group of allene-1,3-dicarboxylates operates to control the selectivity in the above Diels–Alder reaction. This new attractive effect to give the exo adduct is more effective than the Alder orbital effect.  相似文献

Parallel phase-shifting digital holography (PPSDH) is a technique of single-shot phase-shifting digital holography. We found that there are two problems with this technique. (1) Some extraneous noises caused by the intensity unevenness of the reference wave become slightly superimposed on the object image. (2) The conjugate image cannot be completely removed. This is because the object wave causes the phase-shift error by illuminating an image sensor with a large incident angle. To solve these problems, we propose an algorithm for removing residual 0th-order diffraction and conjugate images in PPSDH. In the proposed algorithm, we modified phase-shifting interferometry in order to work through the unevenness of the intensity distribution and applied the Fourier transform technique to PPSDH to remove the residual conjugate image. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm was experimentally verified.  相似文献

This paper presents an investigation into the relaxation process of photo-excited carriers in anatase TiO2 thin films, in which the concentration of oxygen vacancy is controlled by annealing at various temperatures in an oxygen atmosphere. Optical properties for immiscible polymer blends composed of poly(methyl methacrylate), PMMA, and ethylene–vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) are studied employing various EVA samples with different vinyl acetate contents. PMMA/EVA shows transparency at room temperature when the difference in refractive index between both phases is small. The light transmittance, however, decreases with increasing the ambient temperature. This phenomenon is attributed to the difference in the volume expansion ratio, leading to the difference in refractive index, between PMMA and EVA. It is found that addition of tricresyl phosphate, TCP, improves the transparency and its temperature dependence. As a result, a ternary PMMA/EVA/TCP blend shows high level of transparency in the wide temperature range, although it has apparent phase separated morphology.  相似文献

We report unusual laser-induced shape conversions of silver nanoparticles dispersed in polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) aqueous solutions. Silver nanocrystals such as nanoplates and nanorods were formed using laser irradiation for colloidal silver nanoparticles prepared using laser ablation in aqueous solutions of PVP. Differing from the nanocrystal formation observed in neat water and halide solutions, which were induced by weak laser or fluorescent-light irradiation, the nanocrystal formation in PVP solutions was induced by strong laser irradiation. On the other hand, nanocrystal formation was not observed in polyvinylalcohol (PVA) solutions, in which fusion of nanoparticles were prominent. It is proposed that the nanocrystals were formed from fragmented nanoparticles protected by PVP via a ripening process.  相似文献
