This paper presents objective priors for robust Bayesian estimation against outliers based on divergences. The minimum -divergence estimator is well-known to work well in estimation against heavy contamination. The robust Bayesian methods by using quasi-posterior distributions based on divergences have been also proposed in recent years. In the objective Bayesian framework, the selection of default prior distributions under such quasi-posterior distributions is an important problem. In this study, we provide some properties of reference and moment matching priors under the quasi-posterior distribution based on the -divergence. In particular, we show that the proposed priors are approximately robust under the condition on the contamination distribution without assuming any conditions on the contamination ratio. Prolonged-release spherical micro-matrices of ibuprofen with acrylic polymer (Eudragit RS) were prepared using a novel emulsion-solvent diffusion method. It was found by examining cross sections of the spherical matrix before and after dissolution tests with a scanning electron microscope and a porosimeter that the resultant micro-matrix had a sponge-like internal structure. The spherical matrices were successfully recovered with a relatively high concentration of the drug in ethanol (0.4-0.6 g/ml) and over a wide range of temperatures (5-35 degrees C). The size of the spherical matrix could be easily controlled by varying the agitation speed of the system and the concentration of emulsifier added to the aqueous medium. The drug release rate from the spherical matrix decreased with increasing concentration of polymer formulated due to the reduced diffusion path and increased tortuosity in the matrix. Spherical matrices with ibuprofen:Eudragit RS = 3:1 improved the bioavailability of the drug and prolonged the drug action in beagle dogs. 相似文献

pharaonis phoborhodopsin (ppR, also called pharaonis sensory rhodopsin II [psRII]) is a member of the archaeal rhodopsin family and acts as a repellent phototaxis receptor of Natronobacterium pharaonis. Upon illumination, ppR is excited and undergoes a linear cyclic photoreaction, namely, a photocycle that constitutes photointermediates such as M- and O-intermediates (ppRM and ppRO, respectively). Under a constant background illumination (>600 nm) that irradiates ppRO, the decay rate of the flash-induced ppRO increased with an increase in the background light intensity, indicating the photoreactivity of ppRO. Azide did not influence the light-accelerated ppRO decay, but the time required for the cycle to be completed became shortened in an azide concentration-dependent manner because of acceleration of ppRM decay. Hence, the turnover rate of photocycling increased appreciably in the presence of both the background illumination and the azide. The observation reported previously (Schmies, G. et al. 2000, Biophys. J. 78:967-976) is discussed in connection with the present observations. 相似文献

Tertiary structure changes in DNA duplexes, induced by Hoechst 33258 binding, have been examined by the use of atomic force microscopy. Besides minor groove binding, which is an established mode of binding for this drug, Hoechst 33258 has now been found to show another binding mode, which causes an unwinding of the duplex. When the drug concentration is as high as 0.5 microg/ml, the Hoechst 33258 molecule seems to function as a clamp for two DNA chains and forms a condensate. The condensate was found to have a toroidal shape. By surveying more than 100 microscopic images of such condensates formed in I microg/ml drug solution, a mechanism of toroidal condensate formation has been proposed. 相似文献

The reactions of isolable dialkylgermylene and -stannylene with a galvinoxyl radical were found to give rather unusual cyclic compounds in high yields via intermediate adduct radicals. The structures of the cyclic compounds were determined by X-ray crystallography. We propose a concerted cyclization mechanism in which the abstraction of a hydrogen atom from the tert-butyl group by the galvinoxyl radical is accompanied by the simultaneous attack of the germyl radical center to the tert-butyl carbon atom. 相似文献

The patterning of liquid thin films on solid surfaces is very important in various fields of science and engineering related to surfaces and interfaces. A method of nanometer-scale patterning of a molecularly thin liquid film on a silicon substrate using the lyophobicity of the oxide nanostructures has recently been reported (Fukuzawa, K.; Deguchi, T.; Kawamura, J.; Mitsuya, Y.; Muramatsu, T.; Zhang, H. Appl. Phys. Lett. 2005, 87, 203108). However, the origin of the lyophobicity of the nanostructure with a height of around 1 nm, which was fabricated by probe oxidation, has not yet been clarified. In the present study, the change in thickness of the liquid film on mesa-shaped nanostructures and the wettability for the various combinations of the thickness of the liquid films and the height of ridge-shaped nanostructures were investigated. These revealed that lyophobicity is caused by a lowering of the intermolecular interaction between the liquid and silicon surfaces by the nanostructure and enables the patterning of a liquid film along it. The tendency of the wettability for a given liquid film and nanostructure size can be predicted by estimating the contributions of the intermolecular interaction and capillary pressure. In this method, the height of the nanostructure can control the wettability. These results can provide a novel method of nanoscale patterning of liquid thin films, which will be very useful in creating new functional surfaces. 相似文献
