Molecules derived from a parent skeleton are enumerated where both achiral ligands as well as chiral ligands are allowed. Chirality fittingness of an orbit is proposed in order to permit chiral ligands. The enumeration is conducted with and without consideration of obligatory minimum valency (OMV). The effect of the OMV is formulated by assigning different weights to the respective orbits of the parent skeleton. The importance of coset representations and their subduction by subgroups is discussed. The subduced representations are classified into three classes through their chirality fittingness, which determines the mode of substitution with chiral and achiral ligands. Several novel concepts such as a unit subduced cycle index and a subduced cycle index are given in general forms.  相似文献

Summary The pseudo-point group is constructed to characterize the symmetry of a basic pair of hexagonal reaction graphs having no par-bonds on its edges. Any pairs of reaction graphs (reaction pairs) are considered to be obtained by adding par-bonds to the edges of the basic pair; they are counted by the USCI (unit-subduced-cycle-index) approach. Thus, the six edges of the basic pair are assigned to the coset representation (/C 2v ). After the subduction of the is calculated, the partial-cycle-index method of the USCI approach is applied to the combinatorial enumeration of reactions pairs.Reaction pairs are classified to two categories, i.e. isoenergetic and anisoenergetic. An isoenergetic pair is concluded to be a self-reaction pair, while an anisoenergetic pair corresponds to a non-self-reaction pair. The concept of chronality is also discussed to clarify the symmetrical nature of the resulting orbits.  相似文献

The imprinted polymers based on a transient complex formation between methacrylic acid and template molecules were prepared by using methacrylic acid and ethylene dimethacrylate as a cross-linking agent. The template molecules used were (R,R)-cyclohexanediamine (1), (S,S)-1,2-diphenylethylenediamine (2) and (S)-1,1'-binaphthyl-2,2'-diamine (3). Another group of templates were those in which the amino group of these templates had been substituted by the hydroxy group: (R,R)-1,2-cyclohexanediol (4) and (S,S)-hydrobenzoin (5). Racemic 2 was separated by the polymer prepared with template 2 (P2) and that with template 1 (P1). Template 2 is larger than template 1 in steric bulkiness, but P1 was effective for the enantiomer separation of racemic 2. P1 was not effective for the separation of racemic 4. Enantioselectivity observed in racemic 2 in P2 was higher than that in racemic 1 in P1. P2 has no definite predetermined shape for solute 1, but it was capable of separating racemic 1. This separation should be thus ascribed to the orientation of at least two carbonyl groups reflecting the conformation of template 2 in P2 cavity. Racemic 5, having the same configuration of the two bulky phenyl groups as that of solute 2, was separated in P2. When the primary amines such as propylamine, cyclohexylamine and 1-adamantanamine were added into the acetic acid-methanol mixtures as eluents, both enantioselectivity and retentivity for racemic 2 were enhanced along with the remarkable peak tailing.  相似文献

Fujita’s proligand method is applied to the enumeration of ethane derivatives, where the counting of stereoisomers of tartaric acids is examined in detail as a probe for testing the versatility of the method. The cycle index with chirality fittingness (CI-CF) for enumerating ethane derivatives is obtained by Fujita’s proligand method and compared with the CI-CF derived alternatively by the direct calculation of permutations of substitution positions. The two CI-CFs are identical with each other so that the methodology underlying in Fujita’s method is demonstrated in a concrete fashion. The enumeration results are compared with those derived by Pólya’s corona. Fujita’s proligand method is shown to be capable of enumerating stereoisomers, whereas Pólya’s corona is concluded to enumerate graphs, but not stereoisomers. The conceptually change from graphs to three-dimensional (3D) chemical structures is discussed, where the superiority of Fujita’s proligand method is demonstrated.  相似文献

Due to recent advances in disease proteomics, many disease-related proteins have been found. It is expected that there will be therapeutically useful proteins among them. However, it is clinically difficult to use most proteins as effective and safe drugs because of their very low stability and pleiotropic actions in vivo. To promote disease proteomic based drug development for protein therapies, we have attempted to develop an optimal polymer-conjugation system for improving the therapeutic potency of proteins. Summary The elementary superposition theorems are presented for enumerating chemical compounds that contain achiral and chiral ligands. Subduced cycle indices (SCI-CF), partial cycle indices (PCI-CF), and cycle indices (CI-CF) with chirality fittingness are defined by starting from unit subduced cycle indices with chirality fittingness (USCI-CF). All of these indices afford generating functions that are proved to be applicable to combinatorial enumeration. In addition, the concept of elementary superposition with and without chirality fittingness is proposed to provide the elementary superposition theorems. These theorems provide us with a new methodology of enumerating compounds, in which the numbers of isomers are obtained without relying on generating functions and are itemized with respect to molecular formulas (weights) and symmetries. The operation is defined on the basis of the elementary superposition. Thereby, we derive superposition theorems concerning the PCI-CFs and the CI-CFs. Chlorophyll-a derivatives possessing a carboxy group in the substituent at the 3-position were prepared by chemical modification of methyl pyropheophorbide-d bearing the 3-formyl group via a Wittig, Barbier-type, or Knoevenagel reaction. The synthetic carboxylated chlorophyll pigments were employed as dye sensitizers for solar cells and their performances were compared in a conventional device based on a mesoporous titanium dioxide electrode and a liquid electrolyte. The solar power conversion efficiency was suppressed with an increase in the length of the oligomethylene moiety between the chlorin π-system and the carboxy group, while a corresponding π-linked ethenylene spacer enhanced the efficiency.  相似文献

Summary: Four constitutionally isomeric copoly(amide acid)s (coPAAs), two alternating and two random, have been successfully obtained from the same combination of one non‐symmetrical alicyclic tetracarboxylic dianhydride (1.0 molar equivalents) and two symmetric aromatic diamines (0.5 molar equivalents each) by only slightly changing the reaction procedures. When the reaction mixture is subjected to chemical imidization conditions without isolation of coPAAs, the corresponding copolyimides (coPIs) are obtained in one pot. All of the coPIs are slightly yellow amorphous powders and the solubility of them is similar to each other. The glass transition temperatures of the alternating coPIs are lower in comparison to those of the random coPIs.
