Abstract— Photoresponsive artificial membranes have been prepared by embedding amphiphatic alkyl-ammonium salts containing azobenzene chromophore in dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine liposomes. The configurational change due to trans→cis photoisomerization of the azobenzene chromophore provided the perturbation of the membrane structure to result in the increase of the water and bromo-thymol blue permeability of the liposomal membranes. 相似文献

Systematic dHvA studies on the γ oscillation in lead have been performed deliberately choosing the specimen crystal consisting of two subgrains with slight misorientation; our intention here is to clarify the origin of the anomalous beat which has been frequently observed in addition to the well-known 42.5 cycle beat. It has been found that the anomalous beat appears periodically and that its angular dependence can be described by H ∝ θ where H is the magnetic field at which the anomalous beat is observed and θ (?1) is the angle which specifies the magnetic field direction measured from the suitably chosen specimen axis sufficiently close to [011]. These results are successfully interpreted on the basis of Van Dyke's model of the third zone electron arm coupled with the microstructure of the specimen crystal. This conclusion is in agreement with the suggestion by Anderson et al. (1975) concerning the third zone electron arm in lead. 相似文献

We propose a novel LO power injection method developed for SIS mixers in this paper. Based on the feature of extremely small LO power requirements of SIS quantum mixing, the new method fulfills SIS pumping through a DC/IF route based built-in LO path, which is composed of an additional LO waveguide and the existing microstrip choke filter on the junction substrate. With the new method, traditional external LO diplexers(e.g., crossguide-couplers or beamsplitters) become unnecessary, resulting in a lower loss, compact, and stable receiver system. Experiments at 110- and 230 GHz bands have shown that the present method is efficient in coupling sufficient pumping power to SIS junctions from general LO sources, and the receiver sensitivities have a further improvement of about 10 K. We expect this method is also able to be applied into submillimeter wave band for SIS mixers. 相似文献

Although most fulgides show their photochromism in the solid state, crystal structure changes accompanying the photochromism have not been previously observed. The photochromic reactions have been so far considered to take place on surfaces or at defects of the crystals or to proceed with destruction of the crystals. In this study we have succeeded in observing crystal structure changes accompanying the photochromism of fulgides using X-ray diffraction analysis. Detection of the photoproducts in the crystal structures was not possible when the single crystals of the fulgides were irradiated with steady UV light. Two-photon excitation by pulsed laser light was essential to produce a sufficient amount of the photoproducts without significant deterioration in the quality of the crystals. 相似文献

The adsorption of 1-(1-naphthyl)ethylamine (NEA) on platinum surfaces has been characterized by reflection-absorption infrared spectroscopy (RAIRS) and temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) both under ultrahigh vacuum and in situ from liquid solutions. The main focus of this study was to identify the mechanism by which single enantiomers of NEA bestow chirality on the platinum surface. Evidence was acquired for both of the prevailing explanations available in the literature for the NEA behavior: formation of supramolecular chiral templates and complexation of individual modifiers with the reactant. Indeed, TPD titrations of NEA-modified Pt(111) using propylene oxide (PO) as a chiral probe point to a relative enhancement in the adsorption of one enantiomer over the other at intermediate NEA coverages, which is the behavior expected from the templating mechanism. However, a difference in adsorption energetics was also observed. Both the TPD and RAIRS data suggest possible interactions between the adsorbed NEA and adjacent PO that differ according to the relative chirality of the two compounds. The NEA uptake from solution displays additional enantioselectivity, in particular when the adsorption of enantiopure compounds is compared with that of racemic mixtures, and also points to possible adsorption changes induced by ethyl pyruvate, a common reactant in chiral hydrogenation processes. 相似文献
