The combined use of a metal‐complex catalyst and an enzyme is attractive, but typically results in mutual inactivation. A rhodium (Rh) complex immobilized in a bipyridine‐based periodic mesoporous organosilica (BPy‐PMO) shows high catalytic activity during transfer hydrogenation, even in the presence of bovine serum albumin (BSA), while a homogeneous Rh complex exhibits reduced activity due to direct interaction with BSA. The use of a smaller protein or an amino acid revealed a clear size‐sieving effect of the BPy‐PMO that protected the Rh catalyst from direct interactions. A combination of Rh‐immobilized BPy‐PMO and an enzyme (horse liver alcohol dehydrogenase; HLADH) promoted sequential reactions involving the transfer hydrogenation of NAD+ to give NADH followed by the asymmetric hydrogenation of 4‐phenyl‐2‐butanone with high enantioselectivity. The use of BPy‐PMO as a support for metal complexes could be applied to other systems consisting of a metal‐complex catalyst and an enzyme.  相似文献

A ZnII complex of a C2‐chiral bisamidine‐type sp2N bidentate ligand ( L R ) possessing two dioxolane rings at both ends catalyzes a highly efficient quinone asymmetric Diels‐Alder reaction (qADA) between o‐alkoxy‐p‐benzoquinones and 1‐alkoxy‐1,3‐butadienes to construct highly functionalized chiral cis‐decalins, proceeding in up to a >99:1 enantiomer ratio with a high generality in the presence of H2O (H2O:ZnII=4–6:1). In the absence of water, little reaction occurs. The loading amount of the chiral ligand can be minimized to 0.02 mol % with a higher Zn/ L R ratio. This first success is ascribed to a supramolecular 3D arrangement of substrates, in which two protons of an “H2O‐ZnII” reactive species make a linear hydrogen bond network with a dioxolane oxygen atom and one‐point‐binding diene; the ZnII atom captures the electron‐accepting two‐points‐binding quinone fixed on the other dioxolane oxygen atom via an n‐π* attractive interaction. The mechanisms has been supported by 1H NMR study, kinetics, X‐ray crystallographic analyses of the related Zn L R complexes, and ligand and substrate structure‐reactivity‐selectivity relationship.  相似文献

Cancer treatment with antibodies (Abs) is one of the most successful therapeutic strategies for obtaining high selectivity. In this study, α‐gal–Ab conjugates were developed that dramatically increased cellular cytotoxicity by recruiting natural Abs through the interaction between α‐gal and anti‐gal Abs. The potency of the α‐gal–Ab conjugates depended on the amount of α‐gal conjugated to the antibody: the larger the amount of α‐gal introduced, the higher the level of cytotoxicity observed. The conjugation of antibodies with an α‐gal dendrimer allowed the introduction of large amounts of α‐gal to the Ab, without loss of affinity for the target cell. The method described here will enable the re‐development of Abs to improve their potency.  相似文献

The oxidative coupling polymerization of o‐cresol was investigated using various 2‐substituted pyridine/CuCl catalysts under an oxygen atmosphere, in which 2‐phenylpyridine/CuCl and 2‐(p‐tolyl)pyridine/CuCl catalysts yielded poly(o‐cresol)s with higher regioselectivity for 1,4‐coupling. These polymerizations produced branched and crosslinked polymers in the later stages of polymerization. These polymers showed good thermal properties, such as 5% weight loss temperatures of up to 406 °C and glass transition temperatures of up to 151 °C. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. We have successfully isolated and characterized the zinc carbamate complex (phen)Zn(OAc)(OC(=O)NHPh) ( 1 ; phen=1,10-phenanthroline), formed as an intermediate during the Zn(OAc)2/phen-catalyzed synthesis of organic carbamates from CO2, amines, and the reusable reactant Si(OMe)4. Density functional theory calculations revealed that the direct reaction of 1 with Si(OMe)4 proceeds via a five-coordinate silicon intermediate, forming organic carbamates. Based on these results, the catalytic system was improved by using Si(OMe)4 as the reaction solvent and additives like KOMe and KF, which promote the formation of the five-coordinated silicon species. This sustainable and effective method can be used to synthesize various N-aryl and N-alkyl carbamates, including industrially important polyurethane raw materials, starting from CO2 under atmospheric pressure.  相似文献
