Thirteen arsenous acid samples of known origins and refining methods were collected. Each sample was subjected to quantitative analysis of any impurity elements present using synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (SR-XRF) and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). The trace elements selected were Sn, Sb and Bi for the reasons that they were considered not to be changed by their circumstances and that they showed high sensitivity to SR-XRF. These results obtained by both methods were compared and the correlation between these two methods was determined. The quantification of trace impurities obtained by SR-XRF using As as an internal standard showed good agreement with the results obtained by ICP-AES. The discrimination of refining method became possible by the comparison of these impurities' contents measured with non-destructive SR-XRF using several arsenous acid particles. 相似文献

Mesogenicity of 3β, 17β-bis(4-n-alkoxybenzoyloxy) androstene homologues (BABA) (carbon No. of alkoxy group, n, = 1-10) were studied by use of D.S.C. and a polarized microscopy. It was found that the n = 4-10 compounds of BABA have one cholesteric mesophase with high thermal stability enantiotropically, and that the n = 1-3 compounds decompose just above the melting point. Mesogenicities of BABA and several testosterone and estrone derivatives were also discussed from the perspective of chemical structure and shape. The presence of an intramolecular long-range dipole coupling in two alkoxybenzoyloxy chromophores is found in BABA from CD spectral studies. 相似文献

Prediction of the lifetime of nitrile-butadiene rubber by FT-IR. 总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
A quantitative measurement method with FT-IR was proposed for a thermal degradation analysis of nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR). An NBR film was prepared as a model sample on a barium fluoride (BaF2) crystal plate, which was subjected to a heat treatment. The absorbances of various functional groups were measured directly by FT-IR after thermal degradation at high temperatures. By measuring the absorbances, it was possible to readily determine quantitatively each of the functional groups after the degradation of NBR. By assuming that the NBR lifetime was the point at which the absorbance of a carbon-carbon double bond reaches 45% of that prior to thermal treatment, a method for predicting the lifetime of NBR heated below 150 degrees C was proposed, by using an Arrhenius plot of the heating time versus heating temperature. 相似文献

Carbohydrate‐functional siloxanes (CHFSs) that exhibit high intermolecular interactions and good environmental friendliness have successfully been synthesized by acid‐catalyzed transacetalation between an acetal‐functional siloxane and glucose in dimethylformamide/dioxane mixed solvents. Activated clay has proven to be a good catalyst because of its high activity and its easy removal from the product. Acetal‐functional siloxanes as starting materials can be easily synthesized in good yields by hydrosilylation between Si? H‐functional siloxanes and acrolein diethyl acetal. This method has the following advantages: (1) the inexpensive materials used, (2) the simplified process employed, and (3) the high yield achieved. Because the carbohydrate moieties in these materials have the nature of strong intermolecular interactions and are highly hydrophilic, CHFSs exhibit very high bulk viscosities in comparison with the corresponding acetal‐functional siloxanes and good solubilities in polar solvents such as dimethylformamide and dimethyl sulfoxide. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Analysis by reflection spectrometry was performed to clarify the interfacial adsorption of protonated lipophilic tetraphenylporphyrin derivatives in a dodecane-aqueous sulfuric acid system, and to confirm the utility of partial reflection spectroscopy. Interfacial adsorption was not observed for porphyrins substituted at the 2,6 positions of meso-phenyl groups, suggesting that the substituents prevent porphyrins from forming aggregates by steric hindrance. Polymorphous J-aggregates of acid dications were produced by tetra-p-tolylporphyrin with a saturated interfacial molecular density of 1.0 x 10(-10) mol cm(-2), which could yield 48 degrees as a mean tilting angle of the pyrrole ring plane from the interface normal. Partial-reflection spectrometry can provide sensitive detection and molecular orientation analysis of interfacial adsorbates. 相似文献

The total synthesis of myxol stereoisomers 1a,b and deoxymyxol (plectaniaxanthin) stereoisomers 2a,b was accomplished by Wittig reaction of (S)- and (R)-C10-phosphonium salts 8a,b bearing a silyl-protected 1,2-dihydroxy-ψ end group with C30-apocarotenals 6 and 7. The phosphonium salts 8a,b were derived from aldehydes 11a,b possessing a cyclopentylidene ketal moiety, prepared via Sharpless asymmetric epoxidation of allylic alcohol 12 followed by regioselective cleavage of the oxirane ring. We established an analytical HPLC method using a chiral column to separate stereoisomers 1a,b and 2a,b and thus determined the absolute configurations of the natural products. The HPLC analyses established that both myxol and deoxymyxol isolated from bacteria have the 2′S-configuration. 相似文献

Fe3O4 powders, whose average particle sizes were 400 nm, 100 nm, and 10 nm in diameter, were prepared in order to investigate the effect of particle size on their electrochemical activity. X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy measurements confirmed that all the prepared samples were identified as inverse-spinel type Fe3O4, whose crystallite/particle sizes were between 400 nm and 10 nm. We found that the electrochemical activity of Fe3O4 in a lithium salt electrolyte was enhanced with a decrease in the particle size from 400 nm to 10 nm. The 10 nm nanocrystalline Fe3O4 powder demonstrated the high discharge capacities of about 130 and 160 mAh g−1 with a satisfactory capacity retention as the active cathode material of Li and Na batteries, respectively. 相似文献
