Thermodynamic investigation of an organic superconductor κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Ag(CN)2H2O in which the BEDT-TTF dimers are arranged in the κ-type structure in the donor layers is performed by the relaxation calorimetric technique at low temperatures and under magnetic fields. A thermal anomaly related to the superconductive phase transition was observed at 5 K. The existence of residual γ* in the superconductive state is about 18% of the normal state γ value, which is larger than those of κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu(NCS)2, and κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu[N(CN)2]Br salt. The lattice heat capacity reflected on the β-term in the low-temperature heat capacity was found to be affected by the cooling rate. The disorder produced in the network structure constructed by hydrogen bond in the insulating layer is considered to give low-energy phonon excitations reflected in the heat capacity.  相似文献

Loosely bonded (“rattling”) atoms with s2 lone pair electrons are usually associated with strong anharmonicity and unexpectedly low thermal conductivity, yet their detailed correlation remains largely unknown. Here we resolve this correlation in thermoelectric InTe by combining chemical bonding analysis, inelastic X-ray and neutron scattering, and first principles phonon calculations. We successfully probe soft low-lying transverse phonons dominated by large In1+ z-axis motions, and their giant anharmonicity. We show that the highly anharmonic phonons arise from the dynamic lone pair expression with unstable occupied antibonding states induced by the covalency between delocalized In1+ 5s2 lone pair electrons and Te 5p states. This work pinpoints the microscopic origin of strong anharmonicity driven by rattling atoms with stereochemical lone pair activity, important for designing efficient materials for thermoelectric energy conversion.  相似文献

To clarify the adsorption mechanism of proteins onto calcium hydroxyapatite (Hap), the present study measured adsorption (DeltaHads) and desorption (DeltaHdes) enthalpies of bovine serum albumin (BSA; isoelectric point (iep) 4.7, molecular mass (Ms) 67,200 Da, acidic protein), myoglobin (MGB; iep=7.0, Ms=17,800 Da, neutral protein), and lysozyme (LSZ; iep=11.1, Ms=14,600 Da, basic protein) onto Hap by a flow microcalorimeter (FMC). Five kinds of large platelike particles of CaHPO4.2H2O (DCPD) after hydrolyzing at room temperature with different concentrations of NaOH aqueous solution ([NaOH]) for 1 h were used. DCPD converted completely to Hap after treatment at [NaOH]>or=2%, and the crystallinity of Hap was increased with an increase in [NaOH] up to 10%. The amounts of protein adsorbed (Deltanads) and desorbed (Deltandes) were measured simultaneously by monitoring the protein concentration downstream from the FMC with a UV detector. The Deltanads values were also measured statically by a batch method in each system. The Deltanads values measured by the FMC and static measurements fairly agreed with each other. Results revealed that DeltaHBSAads was decreased with an increase in [NaOH]; in other words, DeltaHBSAads was decreased with the improvement of Hap's crystallinity, suggesting that the BSA adsorption readily proceeded onto Hap. This fact indicated a high affinity of Hap to protein. This affinity was further recognized by DeltaHBSAdes because its positive value was increased by increasing [NaOH]. These opposite tendencies in DeltaHBSAads and DeltaHBSAdes revealed that Hap possessed a high adsorption affinity to BSA (i.e., enthalpy facilitated protein adsorption but hindered its desorption). The fraction of BSA desorption was also decreased with an increase in [NaOH], confirming the high affinity of Hap to protein. Similar results were observed on the LSZ system, though the enthalpy values were smaller than those of BSA. In the case of neutral MGB, DeltaHBSAads also exhibited results similar to those of the BSA and LSZ systems. However, due to its weak adsorption by the van der Waals force, DeltaHBSAdes was small and almost zero at [NaOH]>or=2%. Hence, the fraction of MGB desorption was less dependent on [NaOH].  相似文献

From the analysis of the permeation of 35S labeled ethanesulfonic acid, through nylon-6 films sorption isotherms were obtained. The films are characterized by their largely different content of carboxyl and amino end groups. It was found that the shape of the isotherm depends on the molar ratio of the two end groups: an S-shape curve for the film containing the carboxyl end group larger than the amino end group and a Langmuir-type curve for the film containing comparable numbers of end groups. These results were explained by the McGregor-Harris theory in which the acid dissociation constants of the two end groups in nylon were estimated experimentally.  相似文献

To decrease the sensation of roughness when a tablet, which is rapidly disintegrated by saliva (rapidly disintegrating tablet), is orally taken, we prepared rapidly disintegrating tablets using microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel PH-M series), a new type of pharmaceutical excipient that is spherical and has a very small particle size (particle size, 7-32 microm), instead of conventional microcrystalline cellulose (PH-102) used in the formulation of tablets containing acetaminophen or ascorbic acid as model drugs for tableting study. Tablets (200 mg) prepared using spherical microcrystalline cellulose, PH-M-06, with the smallest particle size (mean value, 7 microm) had sufficient crushing tolerance (approximately, 8 kg) and were very rapidly, disintegrated (within 15 s) when the mixing ratio of PH-M-06 to low-substituted hydroxypropylcellulose (L-HPC) was 9:1. Sensory evaluation by volunteers showed that PH-M-06 was superior to PH-102 in terms of the feeling of roughness in the mouth. Consequently, it was found that particle size is an important factor for tablet preparation using microcrystalline cellulose. It is possible to prepare drugs such as acetaminophen and ascorbic acid (concentration of approximately 50%) in the tablet form using PH-NM-06 in combination with L-HPC as a good disintegrant at a low compression force (1-6 kN). To solve the problem of poor fluidity in the preparation of these tablets, we investigated the use of spherical sugar granules (Nonpareil, NP-101 (sucrose and starch, composition ratio of 7:3), NP-103 (purified sucrose), NP-107 (purified lactose) and NP-108 (purified D-mannitol)). Rapidly disintegrating tablets can be prepared by the direct compression method when suitable excipients such as fine microcrystalline cellulose (PH-M-06) and spherical sugar granules (NP) are used.  相似文献

Positively charged porphyrins bearing an acridine with various lengths of diamino alkyl linkage, 5-[4-[(6-chloro-2-methoxy-9-acridyl)aminoalkylaminocarbonyl]phenyl]-10,15,20-tris(4-N-methylpyridiniumyl)porphine triiodide, alkyl=ethyl, butyl, hexyl, or octyl, were synthesized. They exhibited more enhanced photocleavage activity of pUC18 plasmid DNA than TMPyP, meso-tetrakis(4-N-methylpyridiniumyl)porphine, which is well known to bind to DNA tightly and to cleave DNA effectively; the hybrid linked with the hexamethylene chain showed particularly high activity. An equilibrium dialysis experiment demonstrated that the binding ability of the hybrids to calf thymus (CT) DNA correlated quantitatively with the photocleavage activity. The lack of the substantial red-shift of the Soret maxima of the hybrids through the titration with CTDNA denied the intercalative binding of the porphyrin part. In their circular dichroism (CD) spectral change on binding to CTDNA, two negative peaks appeared at 275 nm and at 285-290 nm in the UV range. The latter negative peak was observed for hybrids, but not for TMPyP, and thus we assigned it to induced CD (ICD) derived from intercalation of acridine chromophore. In the visible range, the hybrids showed only a positive peak around their Soret maxima, and this feature suggested the porphyrin moiety lay in the DNA groove. In addition, the length of the linker markedly influenced the ellipticity of their visible ICD, suggesting that the proximity of the porphyrin moiety to DNA was greatly affected by the linker.  相似文献

To explore a novel concept for controlling diastereoselectivity, systematic studies on the sense and degree of diastereotopic groups and face selections in intramolecular [3 + 2] (nitrile oxide and nitrone) and [2 + 2 + 1] (Pauson-Khand) cycloadditions have been conducted. Optically pure methyl (S)-3,4-O-isopropylidene-3,4-dihydroxybutanoate (5) and methyl (S)-2,3-O-isopropylidene-2,3-dihydroxypropanoate (6) were converted to substrate aldehydes (1-4) that bear geminal allyl groups and four types of controllers with the intention of imparting a stereochemical bias to the allylic groups and their faces. The controllers involve 1,2-bis(tert-butyldimethylsiloxy), 1,3-bis(tert-butyldimethylsiloxy), 1,2-acetonide, and 1,3-acetonide groups, which are referred to as 1,2-(TBDMSO)(2), 1,3-(TBDMSO)(2), 1,3-dioxolane, and 1,3-dioxane, respectively. Twelve runs of cycloaddition reactions as combinations between the three types of reactions and the four types of substrates were performed to provide bicyclo[4.3.0] or -[3.3.0] adducts of synthetic importance in which isoxazolidine, isoxazoline, or cyclopentenone segments were fused. For every case, high levels of diastereoselectivity have been achieved: >99% (in eight cases), 82%, and 76% for the discrimination of diastereotopic groups and 68-->99% for the discrimination of diastereotopic faces. On the basis of the absolute structures of the cycloadducts, plausible stereochemical models are proposed.  相似文献

The synthetic route for a uterine relaxant, bis(2-[[(2S)-2-([(2R)-2-hydroxy-2-[4-hydroxy-3-(2-hydroxyethyl)-phenyl]ethyl]amino)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-7-yl]oxy]-N,N-dimethylacetamide) sulfate (KUR-1246), was established by the coupling of optically active components, the bromohydrin 14 and the amine 24. We now describe the practical synthesis of these two optically active components. Bromohydrin 14 was obtained by the asymmetric borane reduction of the prochiral phenacyl bromide 13 using a catalyst prepared from aluminum triethoxide and a chiral amino alcohol.
