Two kinds of paramagnetic defects whose density increases and decreases with temperature have been observed in Ge42S58 glass using ESR technique. The increasing and decreasing defects are interpreted as resulting from Ge dangling bonds with negative and positive effective electron correlation energies, respectively. Unlike usual amorphous semiconductors, Ge42S58 glass contains defects with the effective electron correlation energy whose value ranges from positive to negative depending on environment around the defect. The densities of the defects with the positive and negative values are about 4 × 1015 and 3 × 1017 cm?3 respectively.  相似文献

Expectation values of the total spinS of nucleons in nuclei are very quenched. This quenching is shown to be hardly explained by the mixture of-hole states. We first show that there are in fact triangular arbitrage opportunities in the spot foreign exchange markets, analyzing the time dependence of the yen–dollar rate, the dollar–euro rate and the yen–euro rate. Next, we propose a model of foreign exchange rates with an interaction. The model includes effects of triangular arbitrage transactions as an interaction among three rates. The model explains the actual data of the multiple foreign exchange rates well.  相似文献

We find a correlation between the dynamics of fluorescence intermittency and spectral diffusion in the spectroscopy of single CdSe nanocrystal quantum dots (QD). A statistical analysis of the data suggests two populations of blinking events: blinking followed by large spectral diffusion shifts and blinking with small or no spectral shifts. Although unexpected from earlier studies, the correlation between blinking and spectral shifting is consistent with a model of QD ionization as the mechanism for the blinking event, followed by a redistribution of local electric fields that results in spectral shifting.  相似文献

The alpha inelastic scattering from 24Mg was measured to obtain the isoscalar natural-parity excitation strengths and to search for the α-condensed states. The multipole decomposition analysis for the measured cross sections was performed. The strength distributions for the ${{\Delta}L=0{-}3}$ were successfully obtained and the possible candidates for the α-condensed states around the 16O core were found.  相似文献

A parton shower method for the photonic radiative correction is applied to single W-boson production processes. The energy scale for the evolution of the parton shower is determined so that the correct soft-photon emission is reproduced. Photon spectra radiated from the partons are compared with those from the exact matrix elements, and show a good agreement. Possible errors due to an inappropriate energy-scale selection or due to the ambiguity of the energy-scale determination are also discussed, particularly for the measurements on triple gauge couplings. In order to widely spread out particle beams utilized in cancer therapy, laser-produced ions are developed as the injection beam for an ion synchrotron dedicated for cancer therapy. Such a laser ion source is expected to contribute largely to the realization of compactness of the size and low cost of the cancer therapy accelerator. The energy spectrum of the laser-produced ions, however, has no peak, but their intensities decrease exponentially according to the increase of the energy. For the purpose of modifying such a situation, we have proposed a scheme to rotate the beam in the longitudinal phase space with the use of the RF electric field, which is phase-adjusted with the pulse laser. We aim for a reduction of the energy spread of ± 5% selected by an energy analyzer and slits to ±1% by such phase rotation. For this purpose, a quarter wavelength resonator with two gaps with the same resonant frequency as the source laser has already been fabricated, together with its RF power source. The above phase rotation system and its recent experimental realization are presented.  相似文献

We measured the neutron beam polarization of the BL05/NOP (Neutron Optics and Physics) beamline at J-PARC with an accuracy of less than 10−3 using polarized 3He gas as a neutron spin analyzer. Precise polarimetry of the neutron beam is necessary to understand the beamline optics as well as for the asymmetry measurements of the neutron beta decay, which are planned in this beamline.  相似文献
