The class of thermotropic ionic liquid crystals (LCs) of the metal alkanoates possesses a number of unique properties, such as intrinsic ionic conductivity, high dissolving ability and ability to form time-stable mesomorphic glasses. These ionic LCs can be used as nanoreactors for the synthesis and stabilisation of different types of nanoparticles (NPs). Thus, some semiconductors, metals and core/shell NPs were chemically synthesised in the thermotropic ionic liquid crystalline phase (smectic A) of the cadmium octanoate (CdC8) and of the cobalt octanoate (CoC8). By applying the scanning electron microscopy, the cadmium and cobalt octanoate composites containing CdS, Au, Ag and core/shell Au/CdS NPs have been studied. NPs’ sizes and dispersion distribution of the NPs’ size in the nanocomposites have been obtained. 相似文献

A new molecular complex of fullerene C60 with 2-(4-thiono-1,3-dithiolan-5-ylidene)-4,5-dimethyl-1,3-diselenol (C60·2DTDS) was synthesized for the first time. The crystal and molecular structures of C60·2DTDS were established by X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystal structure of C60·2DTDS is layered: the layers of fullerene C60 molecules alternate with those of DTDS molecules. The molecules of C60 and DTDS are associated by shortened C...Se, C...S, and C...C contacts forming a three-dimensional network of secondary interactions in the crystal. The C60·2DTDS crystals have a specific feature: the absence of shortened C...C contacts between the nearest C60 molecules despite the short distances between their centers, 9.948(2) and 10.054(2) Å. The electrochemical properties of DTDS were studied by cyclic voltammetry in CH2Cl2/0.05M Bu4NPF6 at room temperature. DTDS undergoes reversible one-electron reduction to a radical anion [E o=?1.81 V (Fc0/+)] and reversible one-electron oxidation to a radical cation [E o=+0.37 V (Fc0/+)]. The degree of charge transfer in C60·2DTDS, ΔN=0.18, calculated from the electrochemical parameters of DTDS and C60 indicates that this compound is a molecular complex with a partial charge transfer. 相似文献

The scattering of charged particles as they pass through areas of the interplanetary magnetic field with large-scale inhomogeneities (magnetic clouds) is studied using the Monte Carlo method and the numerical simulation of trajectories. Charged particles (protons) with energies ranging from 1 to 100 GeV in magnetic clouds with sizes of 0.01–0.1 a.u. and magnetic flux densities of 5 to 50 nT are modeled. It is established that an important factor in determining the nature of galactic cosmic ray scattering is the relationship between the Larmor radii of particles, the size of a magnetic cloud, and the degree of magnetic field inhomogeneity. 相似文献

The implementation of the step-scan technique on our FT-IR spectrometer enabled us to follow the electric-field induced reorientation dynamics of different molecular segments of a ferroelectric liquid crystalline polymer on a sub-millisecond time scale. The kinetics of chain termination in polypropylene and polyethylene oxidation inhibited by 2,4-dinitrololuene is studied. 2,4-Dinitrololuene inhibits the oxidation of polyethylene and polypropylene lacking hydroperoxide groups by terminating chains in the reaction with alkyl macroradicals. In oxidized polypropylene containing hydroperoxide groups, chain termination on 2,4-dinitrololuene involves both alkyl and peroxy radicals. A cyclic mechanism is proposed for chain termination in partially oxidized polypropylene involving HO2

The electroosmotic component of the mutual dielectrophoresis is accounted for in the theory of the polarization interaction of uncharged particles. Previously, for the case when the polarization charge layer thickness is small as compared with the particle radius, it was shown that the electro-osmosis exerts significant effect on the motion of a particle in a nonuniform field (external or induced by a neighboring particle). The electro-osmosis in the induced Debye atmosphere of arbitrary thickness is considered in this paper. A class of systems characterized by the formation of transverse linear aggregates of particles is determined. The aggregates are weakly conducting media with nonconducting particles but more polar than the medium. The possibility of the occurrence of transverse electrocoagulation structures, which was originally obtained by us using the heuristic approach, is supported by results obtained in the solution of the electrohydrodynamic problem of the long-range interaction of polarized particles. The results obtained confirm high efficiency of the heuristic method used. 相似文献

Three tetraphenylborates of mononuclear Mn(III) cation complexes with hexadentate ligands, the products of the reaction between a N,N′-bis(3-aminopropyl)ethylenediamine and salicylaldehydes with the different haloid substitutions at the 5 or 3,5 positions, have been synthesized: [Mn(5-F-sal-N-1,5,8,12)]BPh4 ( 1 ), [Mn(3,5-diCl-sal-N-1,5,8,12)]BPh4 ( 2 ) and [Mn(3,5-Br,Cl-sal-N-1,5,8,12)]BPh4 ( 3 ). Their crystal structure, dielectric constant (ϵ) and magnetic properties have been studied. Ligand substituents have a dramatic effect on the structure and magnetic properties of the complexes. With decreasing temperature, the complex ( 1 ) shows a gradual spin crossover from the high-spin state (HS) to the HS:LS intermediate phase, followed by an abrupt transition to the low-spin state (LS) without changing the crystal symmetry. The complexes 2 and 3 are isostructural, but have fundamentally different properties. Complex 2 demonstrates two structural phase transitions related to sharp spin crossovers from the HS to the HS:LS intermediate phase at 137 K and from the intermediate phase to the LS at 87 K, while complex 3 exhibits only one spin transition from the HS to the HS:LS intermediate phase at 83 K. 相似文献
