Investigation of charge effects on poling and stability for corona-poled polymer films

The optimal corona-poling temperature of polymer films was accurately determined by measuring the temperature dependence of the in situ second-harmonic (SH) intensity profile under the applied poling electric field. The in situ SH intensity profile was first measured by probing both the surface voltages and the poling currents induced by surface/space charges for the corona-poled polymer films. Moreover, charge effects on the stability of the chromophore orientation were first studied by using the thermally stimulated discharge-current technique. 6(5H)-phenanthridinones. II. Preparation of substituted 6(5h)-phenanthridinones from 9-oxofluorenes

A number of 6(5H)-phenanthridinones have been conveniently prepared from 9-oxofluorenes through the Schmidt reaction. It has been found that all amino and nitro 9-oxofluorenes thus far tried gave substituted 6(5H)-phenanthridinones with the amino or nitro group situated in the benzene ring attached to the nitrogen of the lactam group. UV and IR spectral data are presented for these compounds.     

Studies on the determination of diacetyl guanfubase A concentration in rabbit plasma and pharmacokinetics

A gas chromatographic method for monitoring diacetyl guanfubase A in plasma is described. The procedure involved a single solvent extraction of drug from rabbit plasma into ethyl acetate with guanfubase A as an internal standard. The extract was analyzed subsequently on a gas chromatograph equipped with a hydrogen flame ionization detector. The recovery was 86.43% +/- 6.90% (+/- SD); the RSD of within-day and between-day was 2.81%-5.26% and 5.22%-8.24%, respectively; the regression line was linear over the concentration range of 25-200 micrograms/mL, the limit of detection was 10 micrograms/mL. No endogeneous interference was found in chromatograms of the biological samples. This method was applied to the pharmacokinetic study of diacetyl guanfubase A in rabbits.     

Exposure dose assessment and discussion on radioisotope production and application

The exposure dose status on radioisotope production and application in China has been assessed in the paper. The average annual occupational exposure dose received by workers in the radioisotope production is about one tenth of the annual dose limit in normal situation. It is less than one twentieth for workers in the radioisotope applications. However, the annual collective dose for the latter is higher than the former by one oder of magnitude due to the larger number of workers in the application field. Although the output of radioisotopes increased doubly in 1980's as compared with 1970's, the increase on the annual collective dose was not obvious. For exposure to the public,¹³¹I for example, the collective dose in the radioisotope production decreased by one to two orders of magnitude and the releasing factor reduced by two orders of magnitude. Therefore, the exposure dose received by workers in radioisotope production and application is lower in normal situation. However, the facts worth paying attention to are that there were many events and accidents which happened in the radioisotope applications, especially at the irradiation facilities. The probability of fatal accident was as high as 10^–3 per irradiator year. In order to improve the radiation safety situation, it is imperative to conduct the safety assessment for irradiation facilities, to enhance management of the radioactive wastes and spent sources and to establish the experience feedback system.     

Oscillatory singular integrals on and Hardy spaces

We consider boundedness properties of oscillatory singular integrals on and Hardy spaces. By constructing a phase function, we prove that boundedness may fail while boundedness holds for all . This shows that the theory and theory for such operators are fundamentally different.

     

用动力学方法研究8,9-苯并-2-亚甲基-1,4,6-三氧螺[4,4]壬烷的聚合反应机理

根据在自由基引发剂存在下,8,9-苯并-2-亚甲基-1,4,6-三氧螺(4,4)壬烷(Ⅰ)可能存在的竞争反应,推导了动力学方程式。用红外光谱法测定了单体的消失速率和苯酞的生成速率。实验结果与推导动力学方程式相符。进一步证明了单体(Ⅰ)的增长反应由加成聚合和开环—异构化—加成这两个反应组成。这两个反应对总速率的相对贡献与单体浓度有关。得到了共聚物的结构。     

Thermodynamic Studies of Bi-Univalent Electrolytes. VI. Thermodynamics of Cadmium Acetate from E. M. F. and Calorimetric Measurements

E. M. F. of the Cell, Cd-Hg (2-phase)/CdAc₂(m), Hg₂Ac₂(s)/Hg was measured at 20°, 25°, 30° and 40°C. The standard e. m. f. of the cell, Cd/CdAc₃(m), Hg₂Ac₂(c)/Hg was evaluated as E°=1.1500?11.09×10^?4T+1.06×10^?8T² The thermodynamic data of the reaction, Cd(c) + Hg₂Ac₂(c)=2Hg(l)+Cd⁺⁺(aq)+2Ac^?(aq) at 25°C were estimated as ΔF°=?42,139, ΔH°=?48,698 cal mole^?1 and ΔS°=?22.0 cal deg^?1 mole^?1 at 25°C. The thermodynamic data for the formation of Hg₂Ac₂(s) were evaluated as ΔF_f°=?202.3, ΔH_f°=?154.5 Kcal mole^?1 and S°=72.9 cal deg^?1 mole^?1. From measurements of the heats of solution of CdAc₂·2H₂O in aqueous solution, the relative partial molal enthalpies of cadmium acetate in aqueous solution were estimated.     

Palladium-catalyzed ring expansion reaction of 1-alkynylcyclobutanols with aryl iodides: an efficient route to 2-disubstituted methylenecyclopentanones

The reaction of 1-alkynylcyclobutanols with aryl iodides in the presence of Pd(OAc)₂ and Et₃N in acetonitrile at 80°C for 24 h gives 2-disubstituted methylenecyclopentan-1-ones in modest to good yields. The tandem insertion-ring expansion process proceeds via the formation of an alkynyl π-complex, followed by migration of a carbon-carbon bond of the tert-alkanol to form the cyclopentanones stereoselectively.
