We report the synthesis of a new series of highly efficient chiral organocatalysts derived via the regio- and stereoselective ring opening of chiral aziridines with azide anions. The catalysts have proved to be very efficient for a direct asymmetric aldol reaction, both with cyclic as well as acyclic ketones in brine with 2 mol % of catalyst loading, and afforded the products in excellent yields (up to 99%) and enantioselectivities (up to >99%). The chiral aldol adduct obtained has further been converted to a chiral azetidine ring via a convenient pathway. 相似文献

Various aspects of application of derivative spectrophotometry to chemical analysis and investigations of equilibria and kinetics of reactions are scrutinised. In this work the viability of a spectrophotometric technique for the determination of ciprofloxacin has been deliberated. The method is based on the formation of ion-association complexes of ciprofloxacin with nickel(II) tetra thiocyanate, which are extracted into organic solvent (40% n-butanol in methylene chloride) having absorption maxima at 623 nm. The precision and accuracy of the method was checked by UV reference methods. The validation study indicated the parameters, which are in good agreement with the data obtained from standard methods. The proposed method was fruitfully applied to determine ciprofloxacin in their tablet formulations. 相似文献

Lamotrigine (LMN) is an antiepileptic drug, with poor aqueous solubility, which might lead to erratic bioavailability. The objective of the present work was to improve the dissolution characteristics of the LMN using Hydroxy propyl β-cyclodextrin (HP β-CD), which might offer reliable bioavailability. The phase solubility profile was classified as A L -type, revealing 1:1 stoichiometric complexation, with a stability constant (Ks) of 573 M?1. Binary systems of LMN and HP β-CD were prepared in different molar ratios (1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4) by kneading method. The binary systems were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Spectroscopy, Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Powder X-ray Diffraction Analysis (PXRD). Results revealed that in the kneaded products the entire drug was entrapped inside the HP β-CD cavity and reduction in drug crystallinity also took place, which may be responsible for improved dissolution characteristics as compared to that of the pure drug as depicted from the dissolution studies. 相似文献

The canine parvovirus type 2 (CPV-2) causes an acute disease in dogs. It has been found to induce cell cycle arrest and DNA damage leading to cellular lysis. In this paper, we evaluated the apoptotic potential of the “new CPV-2a” in MDCK cells and elucidated the mechanism of the induction of apoptosis. The exposure of MDCK cells to the virus was found to trigger apoptotic response. Apoptosis was confirmed by phosphatidylserine translocation, DNA fragmentation assays, and cell cycle analysis. Activation of caspases-3, -8, -9, and -12 and decrease in mitochondrial potential in CPV-2a-infected MDCK cells suggested that the CPV-2a-induced apoptosis is caspase dependent involving extrinsic, intrinsic, and endoplasmic reticulum pathways. Increase in p53 and Bax/Bcl2 ratio was also observed in CPV-2a-infected cells. 相似文献

A new class of 4‐oxo‐4H‐1‐benzopyran derivatives were synthesized and their antiproliferative activity examined against a panel of three human cancer cell lines, that is, breast carcinoma (MDA‐MB‐468), ovarian adenocarcinoma (SK‐OV‐3), and colorectal adenocarcinoma (HT‐29). Two compounds, that is, 3‐hexyl‐7,8‐dihydroxy‐4‐oxo‐4H‐1‐benzopyran and (E)‐ethyl 3‐(7‐methoxy‐4‐oxo‐4H‐1‐benzopyran‐3‐yl)acrylate were found to be potent against all three cancer cell lines studied at 50 μM concentration. Also, the inhibitory potency of the compounds was evaluated against active Src kinase. A few of these compounds exhibited modest Src kinase inhibitory activity (IC50 = 52–57 μM). Structure‐activity relationship studies with respect to the nature and position of substituents on the lead compounds could be further exploited for the design and development of more potent antiproliferative agents and/or Src kinase inhibitors. 相似文献

In present study, we have investigated the effect of an anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and clay on calcium alginate beads was studied to remove methylene blue (MB) and to improve the adsorption capacity. The effects of various experimental parameters, such as shaking rate, initial dye concentration, temperature, and pH on the adsorption rate, have been studied. Equilibrium studies showed that the sorption of the dye was enhanced in presence of SDS. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis showed that SDS entrapped beads have more pores and cavities which could be responsible for improved adsorption of MB. The kinetics of cationic dye adsorption nicely followed pseudo-second-order process. The evaluated thermodynamic parameters (ΔG o, ΔH o, ΔS o) suggest endothermic adsorption of MB. The results revealed that the surfactant entrapped alginate could be considered as potential adsorbents for MB removal from aqueous solutions. 相似文献
