Anomalous magnetoresistance in heavily antimony doped germanium

Anomalous magnetoresistance in heavily antimony doped germanium is studied down to 5 mK. The experimental results is reasonably interpreted within a framework of s-d interaction with a negative exchange constant. Electrons localized in a sense of Anderson are suggested to play a role of d electrons when Coulomb correlation is introduced.     

On the treatment of the annihilation interaction in antiproton-nucleus collisions

We discuss how to treat the annihilation interaction in antiproton-nucleus collisions within the framework of the multiple scattering model under the constraint that real annihilation of the projectile can take place only once.     

Reactions of NH(a 1Δ) with propane in the gas phase

Reactions of electronically excited NH(a ¹Δ) with propane have been investigated in the gas phase at room temperature. Pressure dependence of the yields of insertion and fragmentation products was measured. The relative secondary/primary CH bond reactivities (per bond) are determined to be 1.5 for insertion and 7.5 for abstraction.     

A new charge-correction method in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy

The 2p_{$\text{3}\text{2}$} binding energy (242.3 eV) of Ar implanted in insulating materials is available to correct for charging shifts. Argon ions hav materials SiO₂ and soda glass. In each case the charging shift for Ar 2p_{$\text{3}\text{2}$} electrons agrees exactly with those for core-level elec The charge-corrected binding energies of the insulating materials permit the identification of atomic chemical states.
