A class of methods for solving the initial value problem for ordinary differential equations is studied. We developr-block implicit one-step methods which compute a block ofr new values simultaneously with each step of application. These methods are examined for the property ofA-stability. A sub-class of formulas is derived which is related to Newton-Cotes quadrature and it is shown that for block sizesr=1,2,..., 8 these methods areA-stable while those forr=9,10 are not. We constructA-stable formulas having arbitrarily high orders of accuracy, even stiffly (strongly)A-stable formulas.  相似文献

In aqueous solution (pH 9) containing N2O, the unsaturated acids trans-FcCHCH(CH2)nCO2H (n = 0 and 1) and FcCCCO2H each undergo photo-oxidation, upon illumination with u.v. light of wavelength 240-250 nm, giving dipolar ferricenium species which may be chemically reduced back to the original acids. The mechanism of photo-oxidation, which is inhibited by ethanol, appears to be similar to that previously proposed for saturated ω-ferrocenylalkanoic acids.  相似文献

The anions of 4-([3]ferrocenophanyl)butanoic acids (Id and IId), when excited by light of around 240 nm wavelength in aqueous solution in the presence of N2O, undergo photo-oxidation to zwitterions (III and IV respectively) in a manner completely analogous to the reaction of 4-ferrocenylbutanoate anion. The differences in the kinetic parameters of the reactions are thought to be attributable in part to slight tilting of the cyclopentadienyl rings caused by the connecting trimethylene bridge.  相似文献

The electric form factor of the neutron, GE,n, has been measured at the Mainz Microtron by recoil polarimetry in the quasielastic De, e¯n)p reaction. Three data points have been extracted at squared four-momentum transfers Q 2 = 0.3, 0.6 and 0.8 (GeV/c)2. Corrections for nuclear binding effects have been applied.This revised version was published online in March 2005. Photoproduction of neutral pions from nuclei (carbon, calcium, niobium, lead) has been studied for incident-photon energies from 200 MeV to 800 MeV with the TAPS detector using the Glasgow photon tagging spectrometer at the Mainz MAMI accelerator. Data were obtained for the inclusive photoproduction of neutral pions and the partial channels of quasifree single- , double- , and photoproduction. They have been analyzed in terms of the in-medium behavior of nucleon resonances and the pion-nucleus interaction. They are compared to earlier measurements from the deuteron and to the predictions of a Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck (BUU) transport model for photon-induced pion production from nuclei.PACS: 13.60.Le Meson production - 25.20.Lj Photoproduction reactions  相似文献

17O solid state NMR of organic materials is developing rapidly. This article provides a snapshot of the current state of development of this field. The NMR techniques and enrichment protocols that are driving this progress are outlined. The 17O parameters derived from solid-state NMR experiments are summarized and the structural sensitivity of the approach to effects such as hydrogen bonding highlighted. The prospects and challenges for 17O solid-state NMR of biomolecules are discussed.  相似文献

An infinite class of magnetized line-source (wire) metrics are here derived within the 5D GR (Kaluza-Klein) formalism. These metrics are cylindrically-symmetric (thus representing line-sources), and off-diagonal (thereby representing magnetized wire sources). The off-diagonality of these metrics is significant as all prior cylindrically-symmetric 5D GR metrics have been diagonal. In Kaluza-Klein theory, the vector potentials of EM are incorporated into the extended off-diagonal components of the metric. Thus, examination of such off-diagonal line source (magnetized wire) metrics is a hitherto untapped potential for 5D GR investigation.  相似文献

It has become apparent that many intracellular signaling processes involve the dynamic reorganization of cellular proteins into complex signaling assemblies that have a specific subunit composition, function, and subcellular location. Since the elements of such assemblies interact physically, multiprotein signaling complexes can be isolated and analyzed. Recent technical advances in highly sensitive protein identification by electrospray-tandem mass spectrometry have dramatically increased the sensitivity with which such analyses can be performed. The T-cell antigen receptor (TCR) is an oligomeric transmembrane protein complex that is essential to T-cell recognition and function. The extracellular protein domains are responsible for ligand binding while intracellular domains generate and transduce signals in response to specific receptor-ligand interactions. We used microbore capillary chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry to investigate the composition of the TCR protein complex isolated from resting and activated cells of the murine T-cell line CD11.3. We identified all the previously known subunits of the TCR/CD3 complex as well as proteins previously not known to associate with the TCR. The catalytic activities of some of these proteins could potentially be used to interfere pharmacologically with TCR signaling.  相似文献
