Force field,vibrational modes,and conformations for (t-BuO)3Sb AND (i-PrO)3Sb

By solving the inverse spectral problem for the (t-BuO)₃Sb molecule, we have obtained force constants for the Sb(OC)₃ fragments having the property of transferability. Rotation about the SbO bond weakly affects the frequencies of the skeletal vibrations of (RO)₃Sb molecules (R=t-Bu, i-Pr), while rotations of the propyl radicals about the OC bond lead to significant changes in the frequencies. In an equilibrium mixture of conformers of (i-PrO)₃Sb molecules, forms must be present with gauche orientation of the methine protons relative to the SbO bonds.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 11, pp. 2547–2551, November, 1989.

The new C-nor-D-homosteroidal alkaloid imperiazine was isolated from the bulbous plantPetilium eduardiRgl. (Liliaceae). The structure was established using spectral data.     

Synthesis of 2,2'-Quinocyanines with Long N-Alkyl Substituents

2,2'-Quinocyanines with long alkyl substituents on one or both nitrogen atoms have been synthesized. ¹H NMR spectroscopy has been used to study the processes occurring during the alkylation of the starting quinoline bases.     

Chromato-spectrophotometric determination of psoberan and psoralen in blood plasma

A procedure has been developed for the quantitative determination of the natural photosensitizers psoberan and psoralen in blood plasma. The furocoumarins are extracted from the plasma with chloroform and are separated from accompanying substances by the TLC method. The quantitative determination is made spectrophotometrically. Functional properties of “cotton protein.” II. Emulsifying properties of cotton protein isolates obtained by extraction with acid

It has been shown that a cotton seed protein isolate obtained by extraction with acid possesses a high emulsifying activity. The level of activity depends substantially on the pH of the medium and the method of precipitating the proteins. Study of alkaloids from plants of Siberia and Altai

A method forN-deethylation of diterpene alkaloids of the aconitane type by the Cope reaction was developed using conversions of lappaconitine and elatine as examples. The previously unknown nitrones ofN-deethylated lappaconitine, elatine, and elatidine were prepared.
