We present a theoretical study of the optical transmission from a thin metallic double slit. The second-order correlation function as a function of the displacement of the detectors for different values of slit separation is studied. It is shown that surface plasmons excited at one slit and propagating to the other slit modulate the coincidence counts with the variation of slit separation. Sub-wavelength interference effect has also been observed for the field assisted by surface plasmons. It is also shown that the second order interference-diffraction pattern changes with slit separation and at some particular value of slit separation it changes into the Hanbury Brown and Twiss (HBT) effect.  相似文献

The reaction of the common pain reliever acetaminophen (paracetamol, 4-acetamidophenol) with dichromate was investigated over time under conditions that simulate wastewater disinfection. The occurrence of the acetaminophen in the water bodies, especially in drinking water resources, has received considerable attentions. In situ chemical oxidation is a promising cost-effective treatment method to remove acetaminophen from water body as it degrades the drug to large extent. Experimental results indicate that the reaction is second order overall and first order with respect to both dichromate and acetaminophen, and has activation energy of 14.1 kJ/mol. The second-order rate constant ranges from 1.56 × 10?3 to 13.4 × 10?3 min?1 at temperature from 35 to 65°C. The acetaminophen degradation rates can be accelerated through increasing reaction temperature and oxidant concentration. The reaction under acid conditions was slightly faster than under alkaline or neutral conditions. Two of the products were unequivocally identified as the toxic compounds 1,4-benzoquinone and ammonium ions. These results demonstrate that acetaminophen is likely to be transformed significantly into toxic product if dichromate is used as an oxidizing agent during wastewater treatment.  相似文献

A series of new heterobimetallic complexes of zinc and tin with 4-aminophenylacetic acid has been prepared. Their composition and structure in solid state and in solution have been elucidated by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy. IR spectroscopy results have confirmed the bidentate nature of the ligand, its molecules being arranged in planar square [Zn(II)] and trigonal bipyramid [Sn(IV)] around the metal ions. NMR studies have revealed four-coordinated geometry in the solution. The complexes containing both Sn(IV) and Zn(II) are better antimicrobial agents as compared to the Zn-only analog.  相似文献

In this paper, two-grid finite element method for the steady dual-permeability-Stokes fluid flow model is proposed and analyzed. Dual-permeability-Stokes interface system has vast applications in many areas such as hydrocarbon recovery process, especially in hydraulically fractured tight/shale oil/gas reservoirs. Two-grid method is popular and convenient to solve a large multiphysics interface system by decoupling the coupled problem into several subproblems. Herein, the two-grid approach is used to reduce the coding task substantially, which provides computational flexibility without losing the approximate accuracy. Firstly, we solve a global problem through standard Pk ? Pk??1 ? Pk ? Pk finite elements on the coarse grid. After that, a coarse grid solution is applied for the decoupling between the interface terms and the mass exchange terms to solve three independent subproblems on the fine grid. The three independent parallel subproblems are the Stokes equations, the microfracture equations, and the matrix equations, respectively. Four numerical tests are presented to validate the numerical methods and illustrate the features of the dual-permeability-Stokes model.
