Thin films of samples of the glassy SxSe100−x system with 0 ≤ x ≤ 7.28 have been prepared by thermal evaporation technique at room temperature (300 K). X-ray investigations show that the structure of pure selenium (Se) does change seriously by the addition of small amount of sulphur S ≤7.28%. The lattice parameters were determined as a function of sulphur content. Results of differential thermal analysis (DTA) of the glassy compositions of the system SxSe100−x were discussed. The characteristic temperatures (Tg, Tc and Tm) were evaluated. Dark electrical resistivities, ρ, of SxSe100−x thin films with different thicknesses from 100 to 500 nm, were measured in the temperature range from 300 to 423 K. Two distinct linear parts with different activation energies were observed. The variation of electrical resistivity of examined compositions has been discussed as a function of the film thickness, temperature and the sulphur content. The application of Mott model for the phonon assisted hopping of small polarons gave the same two activation energies obtained from the resistivity temperature calculations. 相似文献

Several complexes of thiosemicarbazone derivatives with Ni(II) have been prepared. Structural investigation of the ligands and their complexes has been made based on elemental analysis, magnetic moment, spectral (UV-Vis, i.r., (1)H NMR, ms), and thermal studies. The i.r. spectra suggest the bidentate mononegative and tridentate (neutral, mono-, and binegative) behavior of the ligands. Different stereochemistries were suggested for the isolated complexes. The thermogravimetry (TG) and derivative thermogravimetry (DTG) have been used to study the thermal decomposition and kinetic parameters of some ligands and complexes using the Coats-Redfern and Horowitz-Metzger equations. The redox properties and stability of the complexes toward oxidation waves explored by cyclic voltammetry are related to the electron withdrawing or releasing ability of the substituent of thiosemicarbazone moiety. The samples displayed Ni(II)/Ni(I) couples irreversible waves associated with Ni(III)/Ni(II) process. 相似文献

Mupirocin, a polyketide-derived antibiotic from Pseudomonas fluorescens NCIMB10586, is a mixture of pseudomonic acids (PA) that target isoleucyl-tRNA synthase. The mup gene cluster encodes both type I polyketide synthases and monofunctional enzymes that should play a role during the conversion of the product of the polyketide synthase into the active antibiotic (tailoring). By in-frame deletion analysis of selected tailoring open-reading frames we show that mupQ, mupS, mupT, and mupW are essential for mupirocin production, whereas mupO, mupU, mupV, and macpE are essential for production of PA-A but not PA-B. Therefore, PA-B is not simply produced by hydroxylation of PA-A but is either a precursor of PA-A or a shunt product. In the mupW mutant, a new metabolite lacking the tetrahydropyran ring is produced, implicating mupW in oxidation of the 16-methyl group. 相似文献

The magnetic and microstructure properties of Fe2O3–0.4NiO–0.6ZnO–B2O3 glass system, which was subjected to heat treatment in order to induce a magnetic crystalline phase (Ni0.4Zn0.6-Fe2O4 crystals) within the glass matrix, were investigated. DSC measurement was performed to reveal the crystallization temperature
of the prepared glass sample. The obtained samples, produced by heat treatment at 765°C for various times (1, 1.5, 2, and
3 h), were characterized by X-ray diffraction, IR spectra, transmission electron microscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometer.
The results indicated the formation of spinel Ni–Zn ferrite in the glass matrix. Particles of the ferrite with sizes ranging
from 28 to 120 nm depending on the sintering time were observed. The coercivity values for different heat-treatment samples
were found to be in the range from 15.2 to 100 Oe. The combination of zinc content and sintering times leads to samples with

Some properties of the membranes obtained by preirradiation grafting of acrylic acid onto poly(tetrafluoroethylene-perfluorovinyl ether) copolymer (PFA) films have been investigated. The dimensional change caused by grafting and swelling behavior, water uptake, electrical conductivity, and mechanical properties of the grafted films were found to increase as the grafting proceeds. The influence of the preparation conditions (such as preirradiation dose, monomer concentration, grafting temperature, and film thickness) on those properties was studied. These properties were found to be dependent mainly on the degree of grafting regardless of grafting conditions, except at higher monomer concentration (>40 wt %). The electric conductivity and mechanical properties for the membranes obtained at higher AAc concentrations were lower than those obtained at lower ones. Analysis by x-ray microscopy of the grafted films revealed that the grafting begins at the part close to the film surface and proceeds into the central part with progressive diffusion of monomer to give finally homogeneous distribution of the electrolytes in the whole bulk of the polymer. The membranes show good electrochemical and mechanical properties which make them acceptable for practical use as cation-exchange membranes. 相似文献

Four myrosinase (β-thioglucosidase EC. 3.2.3.1) and seven disaccharase (β-fructofuranosidase, EC. 3.2.1.26) isoenzymes were isolated from turnip leaves. The most active enzymes were isolated in pure
form. Myrosinase and disaccharase mol wt was 62.0 × 103 and 69.5 × 103 dalton, respectively, on the basis of gel filtration on Sephadex G-200.
Myrosinase pH profile showed high activity between pH 5 and 7 with the optimum at pH 5.5. The purified enzyme was heat-stable
for 60 min at 30°C with only loss of 24% of activity. Its activity is strongly inhibited (100%) by Pb2+, Ba2+, Cu2+ and Ca2+ ions, and activated (70%) by EDTA at 0.04M. The pure enzyme failed to hydrolyze amylose, glycogen, lactose, maltose, and

max values of myrosinase using sinigrin as specific substrate was 0.045 mM and 2.5 U, respectively.
The maximal activity of disaccharase enzyme was obtained at pH 4–5 and 35–37°C. The enzyme was heat-stable at 30°C for 30
min with only 10% loss of its activity. Its activity is strongly activated (70–240%) by Ca2+, Ba2+, Cu2+, and EDTA at 0.01M. The enzyme activity is specific to the disaccharide sucrose and failed to hydrolyze other disaccharides (maltose and lactose).

Summary The reactions of aldehydic and ketonic Schiff bases derived from hydrazine-S-methyl dithiocarboxylate and thiosemicar-bazide with cobalt(II) acetate were investigated. Octahedral tris ligand cobalt(III) chelates were formed with aldehydic Schiff bases whereas tetrahedral bis ligand cobalt (II) chelates were isolated with ketonic Schiff bases.N-isopropylidene hydrazine-S-methyldithiocarboxylate, however, gave both octahedral tris cobalt(III) and tetrahedral bis cobalt(II) chelates.
