Electron injection behavior of lithium quinolate (Liq)/Ca/Al cathode was investigated by using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS). Interfacial energy barrier lowering of Liq/Ca/Al cathode was dependent on Ca thickness and maximum energy level shift was observed at a Ca thickness of 1 nm. Maximum current density could be obtained in Liq/Ca/Al device at a Ca thickness of 1 nm and it was well correlated with energy level shift from UPS measurement. Power efficiency of Liq/Al device could be improved by more than 70% by inserting Ca layer between Liq and Al.  相似文献

We report on free excitons coexisting with exciton magnetic polarons (EMPs) in bulk semimagnetic semiconductors of Cd1−xMnxTe for 0.04?x?0.36 at 2 K under nonresonant two-photon excitation. This two-photon excitation not only generates free excitons but also more efficiently creates EMPs compared with ordinary one-photon excitation. Stimulated emission from free excitons is demonstrated under strong two-photon excitation.  相似文献

The authors report upon the increased light‐output power (Pout) via a reduction in the forward voltage (Vf) for nonpolar a ‐plane GaN LEDs using Ni/Al/Ni/Au n‐type ohmic contacts. The specific contact resistivity of the Ni/Al/Ni/Au contact is found to be as low as 5.6 × 10–5 whereas that of a typical Ti/Al/Ni/Au contact is 6.8 × 10–4 Ω cm2, after annealing at 700 °C. The X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy results show that the upward surface band bending is less pronounced for the Ni/Al contact compared to the Ti/Al contact, leading to a decrease in the effective Schottky barrier height (SBH). The Vf of the nonpolar LEDs decreases by 10% and Pout increases by 15% when the Ni/Al/Ni/Au scheme is used instead of the typical Ti/Al/Ni/Au metal scheme. (© 2011 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Intense green‐emitting Li(Gd,Y)F4:Yb,Er/LiGdF4 core/shell (C/S) upconversion nanophosphors (UCNPs) with a tetragonal bipyramidal morphology are synthesized. The morphology and UC luminescence of the Li(Gd,Y)F4:Yb,Er UCNPs are significantly affected by the Li precursors, and bright UC green‐emitting Li(Gd,Y)F4:Yb,Er UCNPs with a tetragonal bipyramidal shape, i.e., UC tetragonal bipyramids (UCTBs), are synthesized using LiOH·H2O as a Li precursor. A LiGdF4 shell is grown on the Li(Gd,Y)F4:Yb,Er UCTBs, and the C/S UCNPs exhibit 4.7 times higher luminescence intensity than core UCTBs. The C/S UCNPs show a high absolute UC quantum yield of 4.6% under excitation with 980 nm near infrared (NIR) light, and the UC luminescence from the C/S UCNPs is stable under continuous irradiation with the 980 nm NIR laser for 1 h. The hydrophobic surfaces of the as‐synthesized C/S UCNPs are modified to hydrophilic surfaces by using poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) for bioimaging applications. They are applied to human cervical adenocarcinoma (HeLa) cell imaging and SK‐MEL‐2 melanoma cell imaging and in vivo imaging, including subcutaneous and intramuscular imaging, and UC luminescence images with high signal‐to‐noise ratio are obtained. Furthermore, sentinel‐lymph‐node imaging is successfully conducted with the PAA‐capped Li(Gd,Y)F4:Yb,Er/LiGdF4 C/S UCNPs under illumination with NIR light.  相似文献

Direct measurement of the remanent polarization of high quality (001)-oriented epitaxial BiFeO3 thin films shows a strong strain dependence, even larger than conventional (001)-oriented PbTiO3 films. Thermodynamic analysis reveals that a strain-induced polarization rotation mechanism is responsible for the large change in the out-of-plane polarization of (001) BiFeO3 with biaxial strain while the spontaneous polarization itself remains almost constant.  相似文献

Stacked organic light-emitting diodes (SOLEDs) with 30-nm nanoparticle (NP) interfacial layers were investigated. Zinc oxide (ZnO) was used as an interfacial layer between two green polymer (GP) layers. SOLEDs with NP interfacial layers had higher device efficiency than did a single-unit device due to the high probability of exciton recombination that originated from the Auger electron-assisted energy up-conversion process. Although the current density and luminance of SOLEDs with ZnO NP interfacial layers were smaller than those of the reference device, the efficiency was doubled because of the big band alignment difference and the large band gap between GP and ZnO NP interfacial layers, which induced more radiative-exciton recombination.  相似文献

A sensitive, rapid, and specific assay has been developed for the simultaneous determination of acetylsalicylic acid and caffeine in commercial tablets based on their natural fluorescence. The mixture of these drugs was resolved by first derivative synchronous fluorimetric technique using two scans. At Δλ=106 nm, using first derivative synchronous scanning, only acetylsalicylic acid yields a detectable signal at 316 nm (peak to zero method) which is unaffected by caffeine. At Δλ=30 nm, the signal of caffeine at 288 nm (peak to zero method) is not affected by acetylsalicylic acid. The range of application is between 0.021 and 41.62 μg ml−1 (correlation coefficient, R=0.9995) for acetylsalicylic acid and between 0.4486 and 44.86 μg ml−1 (correlation coefficient, R=0.99786) for caffeine. The recovery range of 98.40–102% for acetylsalicylic acid and 90–100.5% for caffeine from their synthetic mixture was reported. Overall recovery of both compounds about 97–99% for acetylsalicylic acid and 97–98% for caffeine was obtained from real sample analysis. The detection limits are 0.0013 μg ml−1 and 0.0306 μg ml−1 for acetylsalicylic acid and caffeine, respectively. The relative standard deviation (n=10) for 20 μg ml−1 of acetylsalicylic acid is 2.75% and for 2.2 μg ml−1of caffeine is 1.7%.  相似文献

Short pulsed laser-induced single acoustic wave generation, propagation, interaction within a water-filled internal channel are experimentally and numerically studied. A large-area, short-duration, single-plane acoustic wave was generated by the thermoelastic interaction of a homogenized nanosecond pulsed laser beam with a liquid–solid interface and propagated at the speed of sound in water. Laser flash Schlieren photography was used to visualize the transient interaction of the plane acoustic wave in various internal channel structures ((a) sudden expansion and contraction channels, (b) bifurcating channels, (c) gradual contraction wall channels and (d) a cylinder). Fairly good agreement between the experimental results and numerical simulation is observed.  相似文献
