In the present article, an improved genetic algorithm (GA) based optimal vibration control of smart fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite shell structures has been presented. Layered shell finite elements have been formulated and the formulation has been validated for coupled electromechanical analysis of curved smart FRP composite structures having piezoelectric sensors and actuators patches. An integer-coded GA-based open-loop procedure has been used for optimal placement of actuators for maximizing controllability index and a real-coded GA-based linear quadratic regulator (LQR) control scheme has been implemented for optimal control of the smart shell structures in order to maximize the closed-loop damping ratio while keeping actuators voltages within the limit of breakdown voltage. Results obtained from the present work show that this combined GA-based optimal actuators placement and GA-based LQR control scheme is far superior to conventional active vibration control using LQR schemes and simple placement of actuators reported in literatures. Results also show that the present improved GA-based combined optimal placement and LQR control scheme not only leads to increased closed-loop damping ratio but also shows a drastic reduction in input/actuation voltage compared to the already published results.  相似文献

Background  

Glutamate gated postsynaptic receptors in the central nervous system (CNS) are essential for environmentally stimulated behaviours including learning and memory in both invertebrates and vertebrates. Though their genetics, biochemistry, physiology, and role in behaviour have been intensely studied in vitro and in vivo, their molecular evolution and structural aspects remain poorly understood. To understand how these receptors have evolved different physiological requirements we have investigated the molecular evolution of glutamate gated receptors and ion channels, in particular the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor, which is essential for higher cognitive function. Studies of rodent NMDA receptors show that the C-terminal intracellular domain forms a signalling complex with enzymes and scaffold proteins, which is important for neuronal and behavioural plasticity  相似文献

In the present work, we attempt to find a new class of solutions for the spherically symmetric perfect fluid sphere by employing the homotopy perturbation method (HPM), a new tool via which the mass polynomial function facilitates to tackle the Einstein field equations. A set of interior solutions found on the basis of the simplest MIT bag model equation of state in the form \(p=\frac{1}{3}(\rho -4B)\) where B is the bag constant. The proposed interior metric for the stellar system is consistent with the exterior Schwarzschild spacetime on the boundary. In addition, we also conduct a detailed study on different tests, viz. the energy conditions, TOV equation, adiabatic index, Buchdahl limit, etc., to verify the physical validity of the proposed model. The numerical value of the used parameters are predicted for different strange star candidates, for different chosen values of the bag constant. In a nutshell, by exploiting HPM technique first time ever in the field of relativistic astrophysics, we have predicted in the present literature a singularity-free and stable stellar model which is suitable to describe ultra-dense objects, like strange (quark) stars.  相似文献

Rhodamine group of molecules are widely used dyes for imaging of biological molecules. Application of these dyes however includes a limitation that these molecules absorb in the visible range of the spectrum, which does not fall in the ‘biologically transparent window’ (BTW). Two photon absorption (TPA) process could come up with an alternate solution to this as these dyes could be excited in the near infrared (NIR) window to extract similar information. To validate this we have investigated TPA cross section (TPACS, σ2) of two rhodamine dyes, namely Rhodamine 6G (R6G), Rhodamine B (RhB), site selectively bound with a model protein, bovine serum albumin (BSA), by exciting at 800 nm. Two photon spectroscopy and imaging confirms the binding of the dye to the protein. The decreases in TPACS with increasing temperature at a fixed BSA concentration excellently follows the temperature induced structural transition of BSA as the protein transforms from a molten globule to unfolded conformation beyond 60 °C, which has previously been established through circular dichroism (CD) measurements. The thus established resemblance in TPACS and CD measurement trends thus strongly affirms the suitability of TPA process in protein imaging and as an alternative marker to tracking its conformational transformations using NIR radiation.  相似文献

We present the generation and interaction dynamics of dispersion managed soliton in a dissipative cubic-quintic nonlinear optical fiber coupled with frequency-selective feedback. Analytically, perturbative variational method is used to obtain evolution equations for different soliton parameters that are subsequently solved to study the propagation characteristics of the dispersion managed dissipative solitons (DMDS). The DMDSs show breather like characteristics and are found to be robust against certain level of initial noise. Both the standard Gaussian and more generic super-Gaussian pulse profile are shown to yield stable DMDS. Interaction of two DMDSs of same phase may lead to a bound state. By varying the temporal separation and phase difference between the DMDSs the bound state can be switched between low to high speed regime.  相似文献

The present paper reports the design and analysis of a new time-delayed chaotic system and its electronic circuit implementation. The system is described by a first-order nonlinear retarded type delay differential equation with a closed form mathematical function describing the nonlinearity. We carry out stability and bifurcation analysis to show that with the suitable delay and system parameters the system shows sustained oscillation through supercritical Hopf bifurcation. It is shown through numerical simulations that the system depicts bifurcation and chaos for a certain range of the system parameters. The complexity and predictability of the system are characterized by Lyapunov exponents and Kaplan?CYork dimension. It is shown that, for some suitably chosen system parameters, the system shows hyperchaos even for a small or moderate delay. Finally, we set up an experiment to implement the proposed system in electronic circuit using off-the-shelf circuit elements, and it is shown that the behavior of the time delay chaotic electronic circuit agrees well with our analytical and numerical results.  相似文献

A series of phosphorylated and thiophosphorylated compounds of 2‐substituted benzimidazoles have been synthesized by the reaction of POCl3 and PSCl3 with 2‐substituted benzimidazoles in different molar ratios. The compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, infrared, and 1H NMR and 31P NMR spectral studies. These compounds were found to be insecticidal when tested against Periplenata americana. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
