The average degree of polymerisation (DP) and distribution of oligosaccharides in partially acid hydrolysed mannuronans were quantitatively evaluated by 1H NMR, electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry (ESI-MS), micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography with UV detection (MEKC-UV), and high-pressure anion-exchange chromatography with pulsed amperometric detection (HPAEC-PAD). Our investigation shows that 1H NMR, MEKC-UV and, in particular, HPAEC-PAD can be used as quantitative tools to aid the investigation of polysaccharide structure, function and synthesis. For the latter two techniques, especially, this represents a significant new development as it enables calculation of the quantity of individual oligomers of nominal DP by direct analysis of a defined oligomer mixture. Appropriate statistical averages of number and weight distributions were also calculated and found to fit very well to predicted Kuhn distributions that assume random depolymerisation.  相似文献

A series of ruthenium complexes was isolated and characterized in the course of reactions aimed at studying the reduction of hydrazine to ammonia in bimetallic systems. The diruthenium complex {[HPNPRu(N(2))](2)(μ-Cl)(2)}(BF(4))(2) (2) (HPNP = HN(CH(2)CH(2)P(i)Pr(2))(2)) reacted with 1 equiv of hydrazine to generate [(HPNPRu)(2)(μ(2)-H(2)NNH(2))(μ-Cl)(2)](BF(4))(2) (3) and with an excess of the reagent to form [HPNPRu(NH(3))(κ(2)-N(2)H(4))](BF(4))Cl (5). When phenylhydrazine was added to 2, the diazene species [(HPNPRu)(2)(μ(2)-HNNPh)(μ-Cl)(2)](BF(4))(2) (4) was obtained. Treatment of 2 with H(2) or CO yielded {[HPNPRu(H(2))](2)(μ-Cl)(2)}(BF(4))(2) (7) and [HPNPRuCl(CO)(2)]BF(4) (8), respectively. Abstraction of chloride using AgOSO(2)CF(3) or AgBPh(4) afforded the species [(HPNPRu)(2)(μ(2)-OSO(2)CF(3))(μ-Cl)(2)]OSO(2)CF(3) (9) and [(HPNPRu)(2)(μ-Cl)(3)]BPh(4) (10), respectively. Complex 3 reacted with HCl/H(2)O or HCl/Et(2)O to produce ammonia stoichiometrically; the complex catalytically disproportionates hydrazine to generate ammonia.  相似文献

Infrared fundamental intensities calculated by the quantum theory of atoms in molecules/charge-charge flux-dipole flux (QTAIM/CCFDF) method have been partitioned into charge, charge flux, and dipole flux contributions as well as their charge-charge flux, charge-dipole flux, and charge flux-dipole flux interaction contributions. The interaction contributions can be positive or negative and do not depend on molecular orientations in coordinate systems or normal coordinate phase definitions, as do CCFDF dipole moment derivative contributions. If interactions are positive, their corresponding dipole moment derivative contributions have the same polarity reinforcing the total intensity estimates whereas negative contributions indicate opposite polarities and lower CCFDF intensities. Intensity partitioning is carried out for the normal coordinates of acetylene, ethylene, ethane, all the chlorofluoromethanes, the X(2)CY (X = F, Cl; Y = O, S) molecules, the difluoro- and dichloroethylenes and BF(3). QTAIM/CCFDF calculated intensities with optimized quantum levels agree within 11.3 km mol(-1) of the experimental values. The CH stretching and in-plane bending vibrations are characterized by significant charge flux, dipole flux, and charge flux-dipole flux interaction contributions with the negative interaction tending to cancel the individual contributions resulting in vary small intensity values. CF stretching and bending vibrations have large charge, charge-charge flux, and charge-dipole flux contributions for which the two interaction contributions tend to cancel one another. The experimental CF stretching intensities can be estimated to within 31.7 km mol(-1) or 16.3% by a sum of these three contributions. However, the charge contribution alone is not successful at quantitatively estimating these CF intensities. Although the CCl stretching vibrations have significant charge-charge flux and charge-dipole flux contributions, like those of the CF stretches, both of these interaction contributions have opposite signs for these two types of vibrations.  相似文献

The chemical and enzymatic deposition of polyaniline (PANI) films by in situ polymerization was studied and the resulting films were characterized. The film formation and polymerization processes were simultaneously monitored by the evolution of the open circuit potential and quartz-crystal microbalance measurements. Different substrates, such as Indium-Tin oxide electrodes and gold-coated quartz-crystal electrodes were used as substrates for PANI deposition. Electroactive PANI films were successfully deposited by in situ enzymatic polymerization at low oxidation potential. The electrogravimetric response of the enzymatically deposited PANI film was studied by cyclic voltammetry in monomer-free acidic medium. The morphology of the films was observed by scanning electron microscopy, revealing a granular structure in enzymatically deposited PANI. The PANI films were also characterized by thermogravimetric analysis, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron and Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy. The simultaneous use of quartz crystal microbalance and open circuit potential is presented as a very useful technique to monitor enzymatic reactions involving oxidoreductases.  相似文献

A series of benzimidazole-2-thione derivatives was synthesized using a reaction between the macrocyclic aminal 16H,13H-5:12,7:14-dimethanedibenzo[d,i]-[1,3,6,8] tetraazecine (DMDBTA, 5) and various nucleophiles in the presence of carbon disulfide. A full chemical characterization using IR, 1H-, 13C-NMR and GC-MS analyses of the new compounds is provided. These compounds were separated from the reaction mixture by column chromatography (CC) in highly pure form in 15%-51.4% yield.  相似文献

Gold nanorods in aqueous solution are generally surrounded by surfactants or capping agents. This is crucial for anisotropic growth during synthesis and for their final stability in solution. When CTAB is used, a bilayer has been evidenced from analytical methods even though no direct morphological characterization of the precise thickness and compactness has been reported. The type of surfactant layer is also relevant to understand the marked difference in further self-assembling properties of gold nanorods as experienced using 16-EO(1)-16 gemini surfactant instead of CTAB. To obtain a direct measure of the thickness of the surfactant layer on gold nanorods synthesized by the seeded growth method, we coupled TEM, SAXS, and SANS experiments for the two different cases, CTAB and gemini 16-EO(1)-16. Despite the strong residual signal from micelles in excess, it can be concluded that the thickness is imposed by the chain length of the surfactant and corresponds to a bilayer with partial interdigitation.  相似文献

A series of symmetrical, thermo-responsive triblock copolymers was prepared by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization, and studied in aqueous solution with respect to their ability to form hydrogels. Triblock copolymers were composed of two identical, permanently hydrophobic outer blocks, made of low molar mass polystyrene, and of a hydrophilic inner block of variable length, consisting of poly(methoxy diethylene glycol acrylate) PMDEGA. The polymers exhibited a LCST-type phase transition in the range of 20-40 °C, which markedly depended on molar mass and concentration. Accordingly, the triblock copolymers behaved as amphiphiles at low temperatures, but became water-insoluble at high temperatures. The temperature dependent self-assembly of the amphiphilic block copolymers in aqueous solution was studied by turbidimetry and rheology at concentrations up to 30 wt %, to elucidate the impact of the inner thermoresponsive block on the gel properties. Additionally, small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) was performed to access the structural changes in the gel with temperature. For all polymers a gel phase was obtained at low temperatures, which underwent a gel-sol transition at intermediate temperatures, well below the cloud point where phase separation occurred. With increasing length of the PMDEGA inner block, the gel-sol transition shifts to markedly lower concentrations, as well as to higher transition temperatures. For the longest PMDEGA block studied (DP(n) about 450), gels had already formed at 3.5 wt % at low temperatures. The gel-sol transition of the hydrogels and the LCST-type phase transition of the hydrophilic inner block were found to be independent of each other.  相似文献

The optical absorption of one-dimensional photonic crystal based resonators containing different types of gold nanoparticles is controllably modified by means of the interplay between planar optical cavity modes and localized surface plasmons. Spin-casting of metal oxide nanoparticle suspensions was used to build multilayered photonic structures that host (silica-coated) gold nanorods and spheres. Strong reinforcement and depletion of the absorptance was observed at designed wavelength ranges, thus proving that our method provides a reliable means to modify the optical absorption originated at plasmonic resonances of particles of arbitrary shape and within a wide range of sizes. These observations are discussed on the basis of calculations of the spatial and spectral dependence of the optical field intensity within the multilayers.  相似文献

A flexible hybrid polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)-polycarbonate (PC) microfluidic chip with integrated screen printed electrodes (SPE) was fabricated and applied for electrochemical quantum dots (QDs) detection. The developed device combines the advantages of flexible microfluidic chips, such as their low cost, the possibility to be disposable and amenable to mass production, with the advantages of electrochemistry for its facility of integration and the possibility to miniaturize the analytical device. Due to the interest in biosensing applications in general and particularly the great demand for labelling alternatives in affinity biosensors, the electrochemistry of cadmium sulfide quantum dots (CdS QDs) is evaluated. Square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV) is the technique used due to its sensitivity and low detection limits that can be achieved. The electrochemical as well as the microfluidic parameters of the developed system are optimized. The detection of CdS QDs in the range between 50 to 8000 ng mL(-1) with a sensitivity of 0.0009 μA/(ng mL(-1)) has been achieved. In addition to the single in-chip flow through measurements, the design of a recirculation system with the aim of achieving lower detection limits using reduced volumes (25 μL) of sample was proposed as a proof-of-concept.  相似文献
