Depending on the Cu(II)/ligand molar ratio, a pyrimidine-based ligand generates a tetranuclear grid (1/1) or a dinuclear stick (2/1). EPR, MS and visible spectroscopy studies suggest that dilution produces partial dissociation of the grid in solution. Replacement of 2-H-pyrimidine by a 2-phenyl-triazine unit prevents the dissociation of the grid. All these factors influence the magnetic properties of the architectures herein involved.  相似文献

Single walled carbon nanotubes were functionalized with different functionalities by simple dip coating. This fast and reproducible procedure was realized with nanotube coated electrodes for the construction of polyvalent biosensors. In situ NMR spectroelectrochemistry is presented in this study as a useful hybrid technique for the chemical structure elucidation of unstable intermediate species. An experimental setting was designed to follow the reaction in real time during the experimental electrochemical process. The analysis of 1H NMR spectra recorded in situ permitted us (1) to elucidate the reaction pathway of the electrochemical oxidation of phenacetin and (2) to reveal the quinone imine as a reactive intermediate species without using any trapping reaction. Phenacetin has been considered as hepatotoxic at high therapeutic amounts, which is why it was chosen as a model to prove the applicability of the analytical method. The use of 1D and 2D NMR experiments led to the elucidation of the major species produced from the oxidation process. We demonstrated that in situ NMR spectroelectrochemistry constitutes a fast way for monitoring unstable quinone imines and elucidating their chemical structures.

Human tooth imaging sonography is investigated experimentally with an acousto-optic noncoupling set-up based on the chirp-coded nonlinear time reversal acoustic concept. The complexity of the tooth internal structure (enamel-dentine interface, cracks between internal tubules) is analyzed by adapting the nonlinear elastic wave spectroscopy (NEWS) with the objective of the tomography of damage. Optimization of excitations using intrinsic symmetries, such as time reversal (TR) invariance, reciprocity, correlation properties are then proposed and implemented experimentally. The proposed medical application of this TR-NEWS approach is implemented on a third molar human tooth and constitutes an alternative of noncoupling echodentography techniques. A 10 MHz bandwidth ultrasonic instrumentation has been developed including a laser vibrometer and a 20 MHz contact piezoelectric transducer. The calibrated chirp-coded TR-NEWS imaging of the tooth is obtained using symmetrized excitations, pre- and post-signal processing, and the highly sensitive 14 bit resolution TR-NEWS instrumentation previously calibrated. Nonlinear signature coming from the symmetry properties is observed experimentally in the tooth using this bi-modal TR-NEWS imaging after and before the focusing induced by the time-compression process. The TR-NEWS polar B-scan of the tooth is described and suggested as a potential application for modern echodentography. It constitues the basis of the self-consistent harmonic imaging sonography for monitoring cracks propagation in the dentine, responsible of human tooth structural health.  相似文献

We have studied the formation of a resistive region in the capillary during DNA separation. This effect is caused by an unequal change in the mobilities of cations and anions at the interface between the running buffer solution and the capillary. We studied the motion of the resistive region boundary by sequential removal of portions of the affected capillary end. We found that in the process of developing the resistive region the distribution of the electric fields in the capillary changes from uniform to extremely nonuniform, with a very high field (above 1 MV/cm) in the resistive region and a reduced field (80 V/cm) in the rest of the capillary. Though theoretically a resistive region may appear either at the anode (detection) or the cathode (injection) end of the capillary, all previous publications report the formation of the resistive region at the cathode side. In our experiments, however, the anomalous region is formed at the anode. Thus, the separated DNA peaks move towards the slowly progressing resistive region. Our results indicate that the DNA is stopped at the boundary and does not enter the region. When the resistive region is clipped off the peak motion resumes. This suggests that there exists a potential barrier at the resistive layer boundary that prevents the drift of the peaks towards the anode. The formation of the resistive region interferes with a normal separation process causing a gradual decrease of the capillary current and the deceleration and eventual quenching of the peak motion. For the ABI chemistry, we experimented with adding polymers to the electrode buffer to equate the transference numbers for anions and cations, and found the conditions at which this effect is completely eliminated.  相似文献

 We give a lower bound on the number of periodic billiard trajectories inside a generic smooth strictly convex closed surface in 3-space: for odd n, there are at least 2(n-1) such trajectories. Convex plane billiards were studied by G. Birkhoff, and the case of higher dimensional billiards is considered in our previous papers. An analytical technique, referred to as the scattering matrix method (SMM), is developed to analyse the scattering of a planar wave from a conductolution for the nonuniform fering cylinder coated with nonuniform magnetized ferrite. The SMM srite coating can be reduced to the expressions for the scattering and penetrated coefficients in four particular cases: nonuniform magnetized ferrite cylinder, uniform magnetized ferrite-coated conducting cylinder, uniform ferrite cylinder as well as homogeneous dielectric-coated conducting cylinder. The resonant condition for the nonuniform ferrite coating is obtained. The distinctive differences in scattering between the nonuniform ferrite coating and the nonuniform dielectric coating are demonstrated. The effects of applied magnetic fields and wave frequencies on the scattering characteristics for two types of the linear profiles are revealed.  相似文献
