A shaped-based ultrasound tomography method is proposed to reconstruct ellipsoidal objects using a linearized scattering model. The method is motivated by the desire to detect the presence of lesions created by high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) in applications of cancer therapy. The computational size and limited view nature of the relevant three-dimensional inverse problem renders impractical the use of traditional pixel-based reconstruction methods. However, by employing a shape-based parametrization it is only necessary to estimate a small number of unknowns describing the geometry of the lesion, in this paper assumed to be ellipsoidal. The details of the shape-based nonlinear inversion method are provided. Results obtained from a commercial ultrasound scanner and a tissue phantom containing a HIFU-like lesion demonstrate the feasibility of the approach where a 20 mm x 5 mm x 6 mm ellipsoidal inclusion was detected with an accuracy of around 5%.  相似文献

A micromechanically based non-affine network model for finite rubber elasticity and viscoelasticity was discussed in Parts I and II [Miehe, C., Göktepe, S., Lulei, F., 2004. In this follow-up contribution, we further extend the micro-sphere network model such that it incorporates a deformation-induced softening commonly referred to as the Mullins effect. To this end, a continuum formulation is constructed by a superimposed modeling of a crosslink-to-crosslink (CC) and a particle-to-particle (PP) network. The former is described by the non-affine elastic network model proposed in Part I. The Mullins-type damage phenomenon is embedded into the PP network and micromechanically motivated by a breakdown of bonds between chains and filler particles. Key idea of the constitutive approach is a two-step procedure that includes (i) the set up of micromechanically based constitutive models for a single chain orientation and (ii) the definition of the macroscopic stress response by a directly evaluated homogenization of state variables defined on a micro-sphere of space orientations. In contrast to previous works on the Mullins effect, our formulation inherently describes a deformation-induced anisotropy of the damage as observed in experiments. We show that the experimentally observed permanent set in stress-strain diagrams is achieved by our model in a natural way as an anisotropy effect. The performance of the model is demonstrated by means of several numerical experiments including the solution of boundary-value problems.  相似文献

Here, human serum albumin conjugated gold nanoparticles (HSA−AuNPs) were synthesized by a simple route to develop an impedimetric sensor for miRNA-200c detection based on a selective oligo-hybridization process without any labeling. The synthetic DNA capture probe for miRNA-200c was decorated onto the HSA−AuNPs modified pencil graphite electrodes. Impedimetric signals were monitored after the hybridization process between the DNA probe and target miRNA-200c. HSA−AuNPs adsorption time, incubation time of the capture probe and hybridization time-temperature were optimized. The proposed miRNA-200c biosensor demonstrated proper sensitivity and selectivity, low detection limit (1.13 fM), good reproducibility and simple direct detection of miRNA-200c in serum.  相似文献

Simultaneous occupancy of the two binding sites in gramicidin A by monovalent cations is a well known property of this channel, but the energetic feasibility of this process in molecular dynamics simulations has not been established so far. Here the authors study the energetics of single and double ion occupancy in gramicidin A by constructing the potential of mean force for single and pair of cations. As representatives of small and large ions, they consider both Na+ and K+ ions in the calculations. Binding constants of ions are estimated from the free energy profiles. Comparisons with the experimental results indicate 3-4 kT discrepancy in the binding energies. They also study the coordination of the ions in their respective binding sites and the dynamic behavior of the channel water during the double ion binding process.  相似文献

In this study, a bismuth film was used as a sensing platform for immunoreaction assay which includes the interactions between IgE and anti‐IgE molecules. For preparing this assay, IgE was deposited on a carbon paste electrode via bismuth(III) cations without using any membrane or functional reagent. The immobilized reagents and interaction of anti‐IgE on this formation were monitored by using atomic force microscopy technique and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Then some experimental parameters like the effect of IgE amount and the IgE–anti‐IgE interaction time were optimized. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the binding of anti‐IgE was also examined by following current decrease in differential pulse voltammograms of neutral red.  相似文献

A series of 3‐alkyl(aryl)‐4‐(p‐hydroxy‐phenyl)‐4,5‐dihydro‐1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐5‐ones 2 were obtained from the reaction of alkyl (aryl) ester ethoxycarbonyl hydrazones 1 with p‐hydroxy aniline. The reaction of 1 with 1,4‐diamino benzene (1:1) to afford 3‐alkyl(aryl)‐4‐(p‐aminophenyl)‐4,5‐dihydro‐1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐5‐ones 3 . The reaction of 3 with benzaldehyde gave 3‐alkyl(aryl)‐4‐(4′‐benzilidenamino)‐4,5‐dihydro‐1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐5‐ones 4 . All of the above reactions occurred under microwave heating and conventional methods. Their structures were confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR, and elemental analyses. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
